Description of Work: Called about 10 days before move to get information on move from Richalnd to Spokane, WA. Whoever answered the phone took my information. Told me some one would be back in office to answer my questions in 2 days. Called during the week. No one ever called back. But they took my email information and started sending state of Washington information on movers. Wanted to use this company as was local and woman owned, but very unprofessional can not count on them for a return phone call. And I was very busy during this move taking care of other tasks.

Description of Work: Very professional service. Took many steps to assure there was no damage to either the house or the pieces to be moved. They were fast and efficient as well.

Description of Work: They packed one day, moved to the new location the next day. I found their service to be expensive. Also, it could have been better organized. Still have not found items that were packed -- could have been better identified in boxes, or packed with like items. They could have done a better job unloading at the new location. It seemed like they just wanted to get going. We are seniors, so it would have helped us to have boxes put in the areas where they would be unpacked. Hard for us to move boxes around unnecessarily. I would not use them again -- I would do more research.

Description of Work: Initial estimate far below actual time & cost. Did not remove everything from basement - I had to lug the rest upstairs & transport to new house in multiple trips in my car. Stacked boxes carelessly in new house basement (some toppled over), failed to position boxes so contents list was visible, as agreed. Took boxes clearly marked for upstairs rooms to the basement. Damaged 2 pieces of furniture that I know of. I paid a higher than average price for the care they claimed they would give to my belongings, but did not receive that care. Disappointed.

Description of Work: Movher was a great company to work with, they were very professional and worked hard. Not a single item was damaged in our move. The owner was quick to reply to my queries, kind, and provided easy to follow lists to prepare us for our move. | |The company moved us from Spokane to Vashon, in Washington state about a 5 hour drive. We were given an estimate of approximately $6000 for them to pack, move, and unload our belongings. Other companies had quoted substantially lower costs for these same services. | |When I brought this to the owners attention she was quick to say that it was better to estimate high and have it cost less, than to estimate low and have it cost more. I agreed. | |I was also told that if we packed and moved some of our belongings ourselves, before our scheduled move, that the price would be even less. So we did. | |We packed and transported 22 medium boxes of books and fragile items. | |We decided to use Movher because they are a local, female owned company. It felt like we were doing the right thing for our community using them. | |When all items were unloaded and the final total was announced, my jaw went slack. Not only was our effort of moving all those boxes ourselves a waste of time, our final cost was about $2000 more than our quote. It was at the very max of how much a moving company can legally charge over the estimate. That $2000 was earmarked for a fence! | |So, while we really did have a good experience with MovHer, at the end of it all we felt taken advantage of. The site manager contacted the owner to try and reduce our costs, since they were so much more than the estimate, but all we were granted was a few bucks back if we returned some of the empty moving boxes. | |I'm glad our money went to the local economy, but I've shared our story with several friends and encouraged them to look elsewhere for their moves.

Description of Work: Movher both packed and moved my household. I have moved many times in my adult life, so, I like to think of myself as experienced at moving. When I say this was the BEST move I have had, you should listen. Throughout the pack and move, there was great consideration for my items. The packing was done by a team of women. I was impressed they asked me before packing items, like the microwave probe. This saved me from having to return the probe after the move to my home's new owner. During the packing, the attitude was light, respectful with an air of packing up a friend's special belongings. | |On moving day, I asked Movher to accomplish what many companies consider impossible. I wanted them to move me out of one house (2 truckloads and 1 vanload) and into my new one. They arrived early (just prior to 8 a.m.) at my old house and worked until 6 that evening unloading at the new one. The guys doing to the move all had a positive, "can-do" attitude. | |After the move, Sabrina and company weren't done. She called me because she was concerned that my glass top desks were too heavy for me to handle alone. She then came herself and helped me unpack and set them up. A couple of days later she sent one of her crew to move some boxes to the basement for me. | |Movher was not the least expensive option I received for the move. But, I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again. I have told several people that if you can be laughing instead of crying at the end of moving day, it's a good move. Such was the case with my Movher move.

Description of Work: Moved us across town (40 minute drive), 4bedroom. Went smoothly even though a torrential rainstorm hit immediately upon them getting to the pickup (old house).

Description of Work: I used MovHer for thee different parts of my move. The first was a very large king bedroom set. The move went great and they never bumped a wall! The second was part was a combination move a few days later. I had to move out of a 3rd floor apartment and drop off a bed at another address and pick up boxes and a heavy massage chair at that same address. They never once complained and were cheerful and friendly. Nothing was broken and all arrived safe and secure. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Description of Work: I am sorry to say we did not have a chance to use this company and look forward to doing so in the future. We were looking for a reliable and insured mover to relocate one room of furniture from point A to B. Most places have a minimum number of hours and the rates can be a bit much for the perceived job. It was a pleasant surprise to work with Sabrina in setting up this move. She is a fun and professional person to talk with. She was extremely clear about what impacts rates which is in part regulated which I did not know. The detail she provided on what would be done and the fact that I could pay by the hour for the time it took was so appreciated. Her flexibility was also a really positive. As it turns we didn't need the move. The testimonials on their website in addition to the previous Angies rating also make it easy to recommend they be considered for moving jobs.
