He did a good job, and I would recommend him.

This estimate at first was around $3400 and when we got through talking, the price jumped to almost $5000. I decided not to use this company.

We had had a VERY cold spell and they still came out and removed the moss from the roof-- the work was done to my satisfaction. thank you

It is magnificent and really opened up the house. They were efficient and professional. They left the house immaculate inside and out. They took only three days and completed the project on time.

The reviews I read were accurate. This company came out right away to give me a bid. Very detailed explanation of the expected work and pictures of our old roof and leaks that had damaged our attic and living-room ceiling.. We had a ceramic roof that was turning into a real headache for us. We would fix one leak and find more the next time it rained. We finally decided to replace the entire roof. The inspection they did before the bid proved to us that we made a good decision as they found numerous problems that would have cost a lot to ban-aid repair. The old roof tile was heavy and difficult to remove and dispose of, they did it so quickly! The weather was bitter cold but did not delay the work.The workers were so professional and friendly, the job went by quickly. We were anxious about getting it done before it snowed, I was assured snow would not stop the work, they would tarp it over at night. Turns out the snow waited until they finished! BTW other roofing companies just dropped by and emailed bids. This company took the time to take pictures and meet with me to explain the new venting they installed and choice of 3 types of shingles. I was very happy with this company and Angie's list to help us find them.

From start to finish, the project went very well. I was especially impressed with the comprehensive estimate with detailed pictures of the issues since I could not get on the steep roof to look myself. The work was scheduled and completed as promised, on time and on budget. The invoice included another detailed report with before and after pictures documenting the new skylight installation and vent repair. The communication was excellent throughout the process, and I won't hesitate to use Jimmy's again. Thanks!

I have a bedroom under the deck off the back side of my home. A few months ago it started leaking down into the bedroom. After getting job bids from three different contractors I went with Jimmy's. They came out and did an estimate but told me until the porch decking was removed so that they could inspected the whole seal that it was only an estimate and could change. Well once that was all removed and they started inspecting the seal they found that some of the supporting boards (under the seal) were starting to rot. So the estimate was adjusted and they replaced all of that wood as part of the work. Initially the job was supposed to take 1-2 days but because of all of the extra work it stretched to 3 days. The workman that was doing the job was courteous and on-time every day. He cleaned up after himself and made sure that he answered all my questions. When my animals managed to escape out the back door he called to make sure it was okay for him to get them back inside. I went with Jimmy's even though their estimate was the highest one because all of the reviews that I checked were so good. The work has been completed for almost a month now and it has rained (and snowed) and not a single leak. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again if i had any roofing issues.

I had some shingles blow off. Jimmy's returned my call right away. Two guys were at my house within hours of the call. I went up on the roof with them to watch. I carried the spare shingles up and showed them the problem. One guy got right to work while the other made small talk with me. This guy was obviously a sales guy as he didn't touch a tool the whole time. He did have a camera and documented every inch of my roof. Pointing out how he could get me a new one with all of the problems. At one point he ripped a good shingle loose along the edge that I had the other guy replace. The job was done and the salesmen picked up my shingles and threw them down, breaking a couple. |The problem came when the bill was calculated. I was charged an hour and 1/2 drive time, I can get to downtown Spokane in 12 min, and an hour of work, they milked this a little. But then they charged me for two people. I don't feel as I got any value from the second person. |Conclusion, if you do need help ask that only one guy comes out. |

We worked with Patrick to determine the work needed and to get the estimates. He arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. We liked him immediately and continued to work with him throughout the process. We received a complete job description so we would know exactly what was being proposed and they also gave us a "Preparation for Homeowner" document that made us aware of what to expect and included their payment terms. If we had any questions or concerns, Patrick was always available to talk with us. The work crew arrived early on the first day of work and was headed by Mike. He was very knowledgeable and willingly answered all of our questions during the work phase of the project. Mike was friendly and professional, as were the other roofers on the team. They all worked efficiently and always cleaned up all the debris each day before they left. They had to work around some bad weather, but completed the job within 4 to 5 days. We were very pleased with the new roof. The color matched beautifully to our home and the ridge vents look super. We like them so much more than the old ridge vents which could be seen. Their ridge vents look like the vents you would see on a shake roof. They tie right into the roof line. We had an issue arise with the installation of the new gutters with another company, but after talking with Patrick, everything was taken care of between the gutter company and Jimmy's Roofing. We were not charged, and the problem was resolved. We were very pleased with the response and the end result. We highly recommend Jimmy's Roofing to anyone who needs a new roof. We are very happy customers!

Exceptional, yet no surprise as we have gone thru Angie's List for several services and bar none, they have all been amazing and educational going above and beyond what we anticipated the services to be. This time we thought we had a water mark on the kitchen ceiling from rain damage. Jimmy's came out, inspected the roof advising us we were missing a shingle (most likely blown off by high winds) however further inspection revealed the shingles only had 3/4 nails in them rather than 1-1/2. They said we should be fine till the spring because the underlying paper is good but warned of high winds taking more off. We were glad to hear of a reprieve as it wouldn't be a welcome expense because we were getting married the next day. And yes, we did, thank you very much ;) !!!! We look forward to an estimate from Jimmy's come spring to have the work done.

Overall the experience was great. From the professionalism of the salesman Pat to the crew foreman Tim. Great company to work with and would recommend them to anyone needing a new roof or repairs.

Called several roofers and they were the quickest to respond. They very professional on the phone and were the first ones to come out and look at the damage. Once they looked at the damage their quote was within $30 of what the insurance company adjuster determined the work would cost and they had someone over to actually fix the roof within an hour of looking at the damage. They had the whole thing fixed before anyone else was even able to get someone out to give me an estimate (and before some even returned my call). They were very responsive, professional and did a great job. I would highly recommend them.

He removed all the old vents and replaced them with new ones. Removed all the old shingles and installed the new ones. It was a day and half project after clean up. They did a great job at cleaning up. They are a 5 star company. We have been referring people as they look at our roof and ask who did it.

Came out during downpour with our roofing leaking through the kitchen ceiling. Diagnosed where the leak was coming in, repaired the leak and did all this within a four hour period from when I called for help. Service and workmanship was outstanding.

The repairman came out right away, in the middle of a rainstorm and on his day off. He found the problem right away and was able to get it fixed in under a few hours. Very happy with the response and professionalism from this company..

They arrived on time, did an excellent job in a punctual fashion and did an excellent clean-up afterward. Re-roofing houses can be challenging especially on old houses. There is ample room to find unknown problems and an homeowner can easily be duped into costly change orders. We found those sorts of things on both my homes but Jimmy's was fair and honest about them and didn't hold me up. Jimmy's is not the cheapest roofer around but they do an excellent job and I would recommend them to anyone.

I accepted the estimate and they will come out next week to get started. I felt that the price was reasonable. They were professional.

The work was done just as promised. From start to finish these are by far the nicest and most professional contractors I have ever worked with. The work they did was exceptional, even the clean-up was great, you can't even tell they were here except for our great new roof. I would recommend them to anyone. I could not be more pleased with the work done.

Overall, I am pleased as my roof is no longer leaking. I though the price was a bit steep ($70 per hour per man including driving time + materials and such), but needed the job done quickly and didn't want to waste time shopping around. The staff was very friendly and professional.

**** EDITED UPDATE **** After filing a complaint with the BBB, Jimmy Stroh, president of Jimmy's roofing called me personally. We discussed what happened and the misunderstanding. He was very sincere and agreed to remove the charge originally billed which I find a very satisfactory action. I am very impressed that Mr. Stroh called me and also called my wife to apologize and discuss the situation with her as well. He was VERY PROFESSIONAL. I have since asked Mr. Stroh to supply me with a full replacement roof quote and I look forward to his bid. I would add that a large part of the confusion comes from the fact that if you Google Jimmy's Roofing from a CDA computer, Google shows a physical address located at 4th and Foster followed by a CDA phone number giving the impression that they have an office in CDA which they do not. So please be aware if you are looking for roof repair, they will come from Spokane valley and charge a trip charge of $195 minimum and if they do not have another call in CDA you will be charged for the time of both service technicians both ways. I have adjusted my ratings up to reflect recent communications with Mr. Stroh. ***** This is the original complaint for context ***** If you need a roof repair GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! I looked up Jimmy's roofing online based directly on reviews from Angie's list. I noticed that they had a Spokane location phone number and a Coeur D Alene location phone number. Since i am in CDA i called the CDA location. I received a return call from Jim and explained my problem. He explained that they could have someone out but that it would be a minimum $195 charge to fix the roof. Jim explained that the $195 charge would cover one hour of labor and that 90% of roof repairs usually are completed in that time. My wife wanted the roof fixed so I figured fine, lets just get it done. The problem started when the two repair men showed up and promptly told my wife that since they came from Spokane (W**??? SPOKANE??? I called the CDA office!!) they had basically used up the entire minimum charge because they each bill at $75/hr and since there were two of them that was $150, oh and by the way we are going to charge you for the time it took us to drive here EACH WAY from Spokane so we are at $300 and they just pulled into the driveway!!! I was not home, my wife was at the house and she called me to ask if I knew they were going to charge us this way? Heck NO!!!. I immediately called Jim and left a message for him to call me back. When Jim called back I explained to him my frustration with the fact that his men had traveled from Spokane and were billing me for almost two hours of travel time. I told him that is not what he and i had discussed. He suggested that we wait and see what the men find before we proceed. They said it would be almost $1,600 to REPAIR the roof (I have since had FULL ROOF REPLACEMENT bids as low as $3600!!!) I told him no way was I going to pay that to fix the roof and that i was not going to pay $300 just so their guys could come and tell me I needed a new roof. Jim called his repair people (who had him on speak phone loud enough that my wife heard the conversation) and told them I was jerk and "to get the F*%$ out of there" and move on to the next job. Two days later I got a bill for $195!!! Thanks Jimmy's Roofing. I will make sure I tell as many people as I can about your "services"! Supposedly there are two divisions, a repair division and a replacement division. If you need a roof repair GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

They were prompt and completed the job in 2 days which included removing old roofing and replacing with new shingles. Great job!

I'm an electrical contractor. A client hired me to install an attic fan in her roof. Because she had a special roof type we needed a roofer for the job. I had a hard time getting other roofing contractors to meet with me to look at the project and then I had a hard time getting others to follow through including others on Angie's list. I was becoming very frustrated with the entire process. Then I called Jimmy's. We talked about the job and they were able to give me a estimate over the phone. We scheduled the the work and Jimmy's was up to the task. They did a great job. Thanks Jimmy's!

The man that came out, didn't even get on a ladder, only took a 5 or 10 minutes to look at the roof & said we should completely demolish it & put a new one on. We just bought our house at the end of July. Three inspectors had told us that it would last at least another year. We were surprised & disappointed in their recommendation as this was our first - and last - experience with an Angie's List company.

The flashing had not been installed properly when the house was reroofed ten years ago by another roofing company. They were upfront about the cost from the first contact when they inspected the problem. They did excellent work and I would use them again.
