Our siding was beyond disgusting. It was the original put on in 1972 when the house was built. There were many areas that were warped, and decaying, with lots of bees nests under the warped sections. I wish I could post pictures so you could get an idea of just how bad it was. After finding Inland here on Angieslist, I called them. Mark texted me back almost immediately (it was late in the evening) and said he'd call me the next day. True to his word, he called me the next day and scheduled an in home appointment for an after hours appointment, since my wife and I both work during the day. He provided a very detailed bid and left NOTHING out. He gave me some worst case scenarios, if some of the underlayment needed to be replaced, and also offered some other options (insulated foam board, for one). In the end we opted to go without the foam board. After picking our colors, and agreeing to the bid, he said he'd have to check his stock and let us know exactly when he could get us on the schedule. He called the next day and said he could fit us in TOMORROW, or he'd have to wait after something else they already had on the calendar, and it'd be 3 weeks out. We opted for NOW!! :) A couple of guys showed up that afternoon, dropped off a bunch of supplies, and John (the installer) was there the next morning, getting to work. The work took 3 weeks as expected. John was fantastic. Very friendly, and very detailed gentleman. Just all around a great guy, and a pleasure to work with. I'm not sure if Mark ever sleeps, but he was ALWAYS there for us, day or night, weekends too. Not that we had any problems, but he was always eager to work around our schedule, and did it quickly. The job is completed and it looks like a brand new house! We couldn't be happier! My only suggestion is that no matter what Mark and John get paid from Inland roofing... these guys deserve a raise! A++

Mark, who did the bid, is fantastic to work with. Prompt, responsive, and a genuine nice guy. He went above and beyond and gave me several tips to making other repairs around my house that would improve our upcoming appraisal. He even included those tips on the bid he emailed me. Once the process started, there was one small hiccup, but it was unavoidable. It added $300 to my bid of $1500, but Inland Roofing was willing to work with me on the additional charge. They were very friendly and great to work with. The garage looks fantastic.
Description of Work: Roofed our garage, including tear out of old roof and apply new plywood to half of roof.

They left no mess and the place was spotless when they were done. I was happy with their prompt service.
Description of Work: They stripped off the previous roof, they removed a layer of competitive roofing and hauled away all the debris. They replaced pipe flashing. They resealed the bath fan vents. They re-stepped both chimneys. They installed ice and water guard under the chimney flashing and along all the eves. They replaced roof vents and installed drip metal along the eves and gables. This roofing is under 30 year warranty.

I called to see about a small roofing job that needed to be done immediately. He called me back quickly, even though he was too backed up with work to get to me on the immediate schedule I needed (It wasn't an emergency, just timing with a house sale), but he was gracious in providing me with names of a couple of other companies he trusted to do the work. I appreciated his willingness to share the wealth and refer us to someone who could help us out right away.

They were exceptional. People from the company came out every day to inspect the work everyday to make sure it is being done. What was good about them was that they did an extensive estimate so that I knew exactly what I was paying for. It filled up a page-and-a-half. Most places don't do that. That is what sold me on them was the detail of their estimate. The owner learned that from his dad who started the company and he made sure of that. The extensive details in the estimate I get outline what service I am getting and how much I am paying for it. I had to have something fixed on the roof and he told me how much it cost and that is what I paid for. They were great. The price was great, especially when I do things in combination. I got a better price.

From our first contact, John was nothing less than a consummate professional. While visiting my mother in Spokane on a rainy day, I noticed water leaking down the inside of one of her windows. A quick search of Angie's List led to two roofing companies. The first one I called couldn't come until the next day and wanted a retainer fee (just to investigate!) that we could apply toward the cost of repairs. NEXT! On to Inland Roofing. John called us back promptly and, because he happened to be in the neighborhood, was literally at my mom's house 5 minutes later. He climbed up on the roof, scouted around and determined the leak was most likely caused by improperly installed and sealed flashing around a skylight. Because this was a builder install, John took pictures of the flawed work from every angle and provided the photos to my mom to pursue a possible claim against the builder and to provide her a visual of the problem since she couldn't climb up and see for herself. He was extremely patient while explaining everything and even took the time to answer every question my mother could think to ask. A date was set for the work and John arrived promptly. After completely redoing the flashing around the skylight, John also took care of some other flashing issues around vent pipes that he discovered. He again took pictures of everything and provided those to my mother. The difference between John's work and the builders was evident from the comparison pictures. Johns promptness, attention to detail, professionalism and true kindness and patience with my mom means that I would absolutely call him again if there were any other issues.
Description of Work: Repaired incorrectly installed flashing around skylight that led to leak inside window.

From the beginning I was impressed by Mark from Inland's knowledge and expertise in quickly knowing what this roof needed. He pointed out the transition from the roof to the patio cover needed flashing added, before I had a chance to bring it up. This had been a source of leaks for years despite my attempts to fix it. He quickly made out an itemized list of all the things that he recommended be done to complete the project. Mark wrote up a proposal a of $ 6250 which did not include tax. and the cost of the Spokane County permit which turned out to be $236.74. Going into this I had no idea what the cost would be, and Inland's was the first of 3 estimates I got. I contacted them all based on their reviews on Angie's List. Inland's was not the cheapest bid I got. One other bid was quite a bit higher and the other pretty close to the one I chose. Mark was very easy to reach by e-mail, cell phone and communicated very well and promptly . There were several questions which I had for him, and there were several options he had for me. He was very open about the cost of options such as the additional roof vents, these were all listed in the proposal. There ended up being a problem getting the correct color of ridge cap as they had been discontinued by Owens Corning. The option was to upgrade to a newer thicker style. Mark was very up front that it would be and additional $180 if I went with that choice which I did. He was also very up front about the fact that Inland does not work without the proper permits, insurance, construction liens, etc. As we know this is not always the case with contractors. Inland notified us a day ahead of when their crew would begin the work, and they were right on time. The work was started on 6/9 and completed on 6/12. They were a very professional crew, very polite and knew what they were doing. John and Mark from Inland were both on site at times to inspect the work. I am very happy that I chose Inland to do my roof. I really do not have any negatives to list. They did what they said they would do and met all the requirements of the contract. They have a solid reputation, and have been around a lot of years. I feel that if there is a problem down the road, for whatever reason, they would be there to work with me. They have a 5 year workmanship warranty and the Owens Corning lifetime warranty on the shingles. I also had several of their installers thank me for choosing them and you don't get that everyday!
Description of Work: Inland replaced the original 3-tab roofing on my 38 yr old house with new Owens Corning Oakridge laminated shingles. This included a complete roof tear off down to the decking. New flashing was installed around the chimney, vent pipes and gas vent resealed. New #30 lb. felt was installed along with new drip edge. All the roof vents were replaced and 2 new ones were cut and added over the garage, this is a ranch style house. The job took 27 squares of roofing to complete and there was no need to replace any roof decking. The tear off of the old roofing was cleaned up and hauled away.

They were quick to respond to our inquiry to get a quote. Once the process began the roofers were not punctual and did not show up at a consistent time. The temperatures were getting warmer so they weren't able to be up on the roof otherwise the shingles would be damaged, which I can understand. I'd think it would make sense to get there earlier in the day while temperatures are lower. They had factored in to the quote they would remove the gutters, but went back on their word saying it would be too difficult because there were different types of screws used along with caulking they didn't want to try removing. So, I went ahead and dealt with this by doing it myself. Took me about an hour to do this, but I wasn't pleased that they said they couldn't do it and had factored it into the quote. The estimated time to complete the roof was quoted at about 5-6 days, and this dragged on for well over 2 weeks. The clean up wasn't all that detailed and we were left with a lot of nails to pick up in our flower beds. The roof itself looks very nice and we're pleased with the final outcome, but we still have an issue with the way the shingles meet up with the chimney and the flashing. There is a gap that can potentially let moisture or insects through. John has looked at this and continues to say he'll come out and fix it, but over a year has passed and he hasn't made it a priority to come and make the fix. I would estimate I've called them about this over ten times and the issue has not been addressed. I'm happy to adjust this review if my roof is fixed, but until then, I do not plan on recommending Inland Roofing to anyone.

We had a great experience with Inland Roofing. The roofers were friendly & very trustworthy. Even though, I did not end up using Mark for the job I really appreciate his promptness, professionalism and candor.
Description of Work: I am remodeling my South Hill home and need some “patch work” done to my siding because of a window replacement. I called Mark and he called me back right away and offered to take a look at my siding the same day. After he looked at the siding, Mark called me back and gave me an HONEST solution. He told me the siding actually came from another siding vendor in Spokane and recommended I call them for help.

They came back and checked on the pitch seals, and all other seals a month or two after the job was done to make sure all was good. They spent at least two or three hours with a huge magnet to make sure all metal was removed. They took extra care of my flower beds and all other landscaping. I've watched others in the neighborhood have their roofs sone and not even close to the clean up or on time job that Inland did for us. They are the best and I used to work for a roofing supply company and knew the quality of work for a lot of businesses.
