I like it, I tried three of them, and this is the third one that worked. They were very good to me because the first one I got didn’t work right, I didn’t like it, and I sent it back. That just says how good Home Depot is. So I decided to go for the stacked washer and dryer, and it didn’t dry my clothes so I called them back, I felt horrible, and I told them it wasn’t working. I was thinking, since I used it, they weren’t going to take it back but they actually took it back, at no risk back to me. Then I got GE and it has been working perfectly since. They were excellent because they had to put up with me and they did not charge me a fee for returning it back to them, twice. They were good.
Description of Work: I bought a new stacked GE washer and dryer from Home Depot Inc.

I think the installer did a really good job. They are very nice windows, and a vast improvement over what I had!
Description of Work: I went to them and picked out the windows I wanted. They had an installer come out to put them all in, 21 windows in all. They retrimmed the windows inside and out, so I need to get them painted now.

A water heater and installation contract was purchased from Home Depot on 3-28-'11 and was scheduled for installation the next day by their contractor (a branch of Precise Construction Group called JJ Plumbing). I inquired at the HD customer service desk to see if there was anthing else I needed to have on hand and was told "no, the installers will have everything with them". The following day the installers called and asked to come about an hour early, which wasn't a problem, so on they came. A few minutes later another man called and said he was with quality control and would be coming also. The two installers and the other man arrived, in seperate vehicles, a short time later. As soon as they walked in I was informed that code required all water heater installations on the main floor level to have an approved drain system installed and they couldn't do the install without it. After some discussion I approved this and one installer started on the drain and the other started on removal of the old heater. As the two installers started work the man that arrived alone launched into a presentation for a water monitoring service. This was totally confusing but since I wanted to stay focused on the installers I suggested we talk later about this. This man stayed during the entire installation process but did little more than hold a flashlight for the two workers. Home Depot wouldn't tell me if this man is a current employee of Precise Construction/JJ Plumbing or not, saying only that he is going to run a store for them. After the new water heater was installed, hooked up and filled with water a problem became apparent. The water heater, which has a diamter of 22 inches, was installed in a 22 inch drainpan and fit so tightly around the base of the water heater that the drainpipe opening was forced up against the side of the water heater and would restrict water flow out of the drainpan. The wall opening in the utility closet was measured at 24 inches (and the installer said we should have brought a 24 inch pan) but the smaller pan was all they had with them. They tried bending the lip of the drainpan out for extra clearence and trimmed off excess threads inside the pan but this wasn't successful and the drainpipe opening is still partially blocked against the water heater. And this is the way it was left. Combining the installer's bill and the Home Depot installation fees we ended up paying slightly over $570. for the installation of a $360. water heater and a drain system that is not going work as it was designed to, when needed.. The installers charges included $69. for copper water supply lines even though the Home Depot installation contract already covered this. They also charged $39. for the 22 inch drainpan which Home Depot sells in the store for $15. When I questioned the excess charges the installer said, how would we know what you paid for. Rediculous, how could you install for Home Depot and not know? When the workers left they took my check (for full charges) and the other papers they had me sign and didn't even leave so much as a receipt. A business card with their first names hand written in ink was all that was left. Home Depot was of little assistance, and actually more of a hindrance, when I went to them with my questions. She would say nothing until she spoke with the installers and, as it turned out, nothing much afterward either. I asked for a refund of the overcharges and some of the labor as the job wasn't done properly. But this was refused and I was told we would have to give them the chance to come back and correct the problems and only after I signed a statement the work had been properly completed could any adjustments be considered. That is not acceptable and we have no plans to have them back.
Description of Work: Delivery and installation of a GE 50 gal. water heater and drain system and removal of the old water tank.
