Never received a bid.

They ripped the living s*** out of that chimney! They created a minimum of dust and dirt along the way, and they stacked all the bricks up in the back yard so we could use them for a patio.

Went well.

The work we had them do was done well and timely and the prices were a little higher than other quotes but the work was done very well. I would recommend them for period renovation over most other providers. My only complaint was we tried to get them to come and give us a quote on some tuck pointing and exterior rebuild but they never called back after several messages.

No show! My first interaction was to fill out a request at their website, and they responded within 24 hours, asking if I owned the house or if this was for a pre-sale inspection. The expectation was that they'd need to enter my home to inspect the fireplace. I replied promptly to their e-mail explaining that yes, I owned the house, and that I was able to have them come by any time, and gave them my cell phone number again, so they could call me any time. After several days with no response, I re-sent my e-mail, and then they responded with a proposed date and time for the inspection: Nov 20th between 2 and 4 pm. I responded that yes, that would be fine. They never showed up. I was sitting there, waiting, from before 2 pm until well after 4 pm, and they failed to appear. I sent a follow-up e-mail, indicating my disappointment. They responded with apologies. But, in my book, they're 0 for 2: It took extra effort just to get them to set the appointment, and then they didn't show up at their chosen date/time.

they rebuilt the top half of the chimney, they were very prompt with coming out and giving a estimat as well mailed a typed estimate and afer the estimate was approved they gave a start date and still started 2 days earlier after calling and confirming it would be ok. they cleaned up all debris and left premisise in great shape

They were fine. They were professional, courteous, showed up on-time, and thorough.

From start to finish, a quality job. Very professional and responsive. Covered work area with tarp to protect landscape and keep work area clean. Cleaned roof, sprayed down windows to remove dust and debris.

The old, damaged flashing was taken out and replaced with new flashing. The top part, metal hood, was loose. They had to rearranged it and rescrew it to the chimney. In the process they found out that the inside chimney tubing was compresssed and causing the problem with top of chimney. They cut part of the tubing to have a better fit inside the chimney. They washed down the roof after they were finished. They two young men were polite and professional. They were willing to answer my question and explained to me what was happening. They did a great job!

Was happy with the price, especially the pragmatic advise to just cover the holes until I decide on gas fireplace. I didn't get any other estimates, as it seemed very reasonable. Everyone was very nice and informative on what was needed and why. The work was done quickly after it was scheduled and everything cleaned up. That included taking away the dead squirrel that had fallen in the old furnace flue. Dobson Chimney is trustworthy and reliable.

Did an excellent and professional job. I was very pleased with them. There is a little flaking along the brick chimney, but he said that it was still OK and could go a few more years. Others have said it needs to be done right away. Roger took the time to explain that this certainly was not something that had to be done immediately, since it was still in fairly good shape. I felt that they fairly quoted what was necessary and did not attempt to add additional tasks. I have used them in the past and was pleased; it was easy to decide to use them again. This is a well run family business.

It was really great. His price was significantly lower than the other estimates I had. It was so great because the fireplace had really nice, old bricks that I wanted to use to make some borders. They took them out very carefully, cleaned them off and stacked them out on a pallet in my field. To wall up the hole, they had to frame it in and put an outer wall in, put in insulation and drywall. It was just pleasant to have them around working. They didn't mind me watching their work. I would certainly recommend them.

Everything went well. Job was completed in a timely manor.

They are friendly people! He always answered when I called and did the work on time.

We are very pleased with the sevice provided. The repairs were made to the blocks falling away at the top with some being replaced. They cleaned up the job site. They were missing one part and did take awhile to finally get that installed. It was the cover over the top of the chimney. Other than that all was done within the day of service. Very professional and courteous. We will now be using this company for our annual flue cleaning versus the old company that was trying to sell us unnecessary repairs.

The top of the chimney was all broken up and had to be rebuilt. We would use him again in the future.

I contacted Dobson requesting information on repairs needed on a new home I purchased. We did exchange a couple e-mails, but when i sent pictures of the damage that needed repairs, and asked for a rough estimate, and desired an appointment to meet and have the repairs completed, I never heard back. I sent a second request after about one week, but still did not get any response.

We set up a date with them to give us an estimate. They didn't show up and didn't call. There was no follow-up at all.

The job went very well, there was a mis-communication about an appointment on one day but other than that everything went well and they did great work. The chimneys look much neater and nice now that they have a clean cap on the top, the workers amazed me how quickly they were able to put up a scaffolding and get to work on a very tall chimney, they also accomplished this around our landscaping with out damaging plants etc. Job was done on time too which is always a plus!
