Horrific!!! A 2 week job turned into over a year- and my children and I being hospitalized for the environmental damage to my home and ER Doctor had us immediately move out and into a rental. Bob Covington and Dave Franco are horrible people who will not perform the work they say they are and will put a lien on your home without doing thier work. No project management, completely incompetent just want to steal your money. They make promises they will never keep because they close the business before you can get your job finished. They are complete frauds and liars. Stay away from them!!! They will end up costing you over $200,000 dollars in damages!!! And people!!

Hiring Covington Construction to do my home remodel was a HUGE mistake. I was advised that my project would take 2 months. It is now 8 1/2 months and the work still isn't done. My project manager advised me that they were having issues with the subcontractors. After my project manager quit the company I started calling the subcontractors only to find out that they hadn't even been called by Covington or that they refused to work for Covington due to lack on payment on previous jobs. A general contractor should have excellent relationships with subcontractors. That wasn't the case on my project. Also, I paid Covington Construction $4,102 to purchase supplies at their discounted rate at Lowes. The supplies were for work that I was going to do myself after they finished with the work they agreed to do. They didn't purchase the supplies and now refuse to refund my money. I also paid $5,872 for Covington to remove and replace the interior staircase. I'm left with an unfinished staircase with fiberboard treads and no railing. I requested hardwood treads. When I requested a breakdown of the cost of supplies and labor, Bob Covington stated I wasn't entitled that that information. I am the customer aren't I? Bob Covington is alsto trying to charge me for the framing and concrete work for my porches. I was advised that this was included in the bid. I was never asked to sign a work order prior to the work being done. Now Bob refuses to continue to work until I pay up. I've had my own personal tools stolen from the house which was locked up. Bob refuses to reimburse me. Bob also had my pile of reclaimed wood that was stacked and covered up with a tarp removed and thrown away. This isn't what I call customer service, honor or integrity. I regret trusting Covington with my project. I'm sure you will to if you hire them.

My 2 month job is now past 8.5 months and the job isn't done. I'm being billed for services that I was told were included in the bid. When I ask for an accounting, I'm told I'm not entitled to one. I thought I was the customer. I mean I am paying for the services. Bob Covington, owner has been extremely unhelpful and rude to me. And that's when he actually does return my phone calls. He pulled all his workers off the job in an attempt to make me pay for services that I was told were included in the bid. We finally did come to an agreement that he wouldn't bill me but then the work wasn't getting done and he stopped answering my calls so I turned to the BBB. Now that I've turned to the BBB, he has stated he is going to bill me. There is no honor at this establishment.

Specifically they didn't get the quality of the work, I guess I would say the technicians were competent but there was not much communication and they carried out some work without authorizations essentially.

It went very smoothly . The contractors were always on time and cleaned up every day after work. The initial contact was excellent. They did a detailed inspection of the water damage and found even damage that I had not discovered. Very impressed with the company and professional workers

The work was done by Covington Construction. I believe it is the same owner as he had done some insurance water damage work on a prior occasion--which was pricey but good work. I had a front door replaced and had to call them back to add some sealer to close out the draft and daylight. The trim was never done and it was left as ripped wall board with a gap around the frame. I spoke with him several times and never did receive a refund. He then said he put in a $900 door and gave me a discount. The door sells at Home Depot for $189. The work was sloppy, unprofessional, and pathetic. I personally would have been ashamed to collect any money for the craftsmanship--or lack thereof. So wish I could get a picture attached--this man supposedly builds high end homes. Good luck if you bought one! I was considering having a remodel done by the firm until I saw the work they did on this repair. The last time I spoke with him, he just told me to go to h***! It may have been a complete breakdown of communication, but I believe he knew the quality of the repair and the unfinished work that was left. No refund was ever received although he indicated he would refund 50% several times. Then he declared he had done several other jobs that used the balance of the refund. My major complaint regarding Covington Construction and/or Bob Covington is the sloppy work and the false claims regarding costs.

I was so pleased, they did a great job. I would definitely recommend them to others.

It went well. The staff were helpful and knew what they were doing. They did what needed to be done & left closets & bathroom clean when they left.

It went very smoothly. The whole cast of professionals from beginning to end were great. I was worried that it would end up in disaster like so many other people go through, but these folks really took care of me. Whenever the crew would show up in the morning, the made sure to call before they pulled into the driveway (good thing they did a couple times as I forgot to wake up). There were no billing surprises like I was expecting as everything that they made sure up front how much it was going to cost so I could make the decision of whether it was in my budget or if there was an alternative. The work was done professionally and with a high level of quality that I can be proud of. I can't say enough good things about these guys but I know they'll be around a long time and I will tell as many people as I can about how wonderful they are.

The process was a bit time consuming to do it properly but it was well worth the extra time to have it done right the first time. They cleaned up after themselves and even answered questions on haw to handle the rest of my project. Calling Covington Construction was the best call I could have made and I would recommend them for any project.
