Overall I've had good service, though some are more helpful than others. But, the quality of products and ability to get it serviced there helps is worth it!
Description of Work: Serviced a lawn mower purchased there, under warranty still.

Performs exactly as described. Received three bids from Spokane and one did not follow up with questions, the other added to the and quot;firmand quot; bid regarding other suggested services, but Sam at Country Home delivered exactly as promised, on time, professional instal with haul away and clean up. Would not hesitate to use again.

Overall, I am very satisfied. I got what I paid for.
Description of Work: Country Homes replaced my old decorative fireplace unit with a new fireplace. My house was built in 1993 and the builders put in Majco decorative fireplaces with blowers. The problem with these older units is all the heat goes right up the chimney. I happen to have a great room with fifteen foot high ceilings and just two heat vents in that room the fireplace was not heating it up--plus using a lot of gas. I went to Country Homes and they had a Valor radiant heat fireplace we liked. The price seemed right since I was doing this in August--out of season. They had to put the fireplace in by taking the back of my chimney out and did a good job putting everything back together. On the inside they cut sheet metal to make everything look like it was here when the house was built. The best part is the fireplace. The heat it throws is unbelievable. It can raise the temperature in that big room to 73 degrees in no time. This is all radiant heat so you also do not have to listen to a blower. You also have to be careful not to touch the ceramic glass of the fireplace because it can get up to 500 degrees. And the remote is a well used bonus.

I brought my Husqvarna lawn mower to them for repair since the engine was hard to start, or wouldn't stay running. It was one year old and it had a two year warranty. They got back to me with an estimate of $94.00 and said it had old gas in it. Old gas is not covered in any warranty. That's understandable of course. It wasn't old gas...it was three weeks old. I know all about old gas...i own a three year old Stihl string trimmer, a seven year old Stihl chain saw, a 15 year old Craftsman lawn mower that is worn out but hte engine still runs, and a 18 year ols Snapper riding mower which still runs ok. None of them have old gas problems. They said that they would not get paid for a warranty repair with this problem. So i called Husqvarna customer service and explained the situation, and why it cannot be old gas. I said their tech is simply mistaken. I asked them to please cover it to get Country Homes Repair paid. I was told no and that their service centers are the 'Eyes and Ears' of the community. That conversation went no further. So back to the owner of Country Homes Power. I called him on the phone; was told he's busy but the best way to get ahold of him was via email. Upon emailing him and explaining everything above, he referred me back to his Service Manager. He didn't want anything to do with me at first. When i mentioned the Better Business Bureau, he (Garth) decided to work with me. He reminded me of the legal contract that i signed (fine print) and that i owed them the $94.00 for the repair, or the estimate fee. I reminded him of other things i had bought there and possible future sales to see if he would give me the 'benefit of the doubt'. That didn't mean much to him. We finally settled on $60.00. BUT, in my opinion, the owner shouldn't have let things get that out of hand in the first place. I work with customers all the time, and once a customer gets worked up it's too late to ever keep them as a customer.
Description of Work: Repaired my lawn mower. It does run good now, i'll give them that...but it was a challenge getting there.

I needed a belt for my riding lawn mower (which I had previously purchased from them). I had to drive across town to their parts department - the store where I purchased the mower doesn't carry parts. After a 40 minute drive and then waiting in line at their chronically understaffed parts counter I bought the part and returned home to find they had sold me the wrong belt. When I called to get it corrected I expressed my frustration to their parts manager and asked him to send the correct belt to the store that is nearer to my house so I could avoid the 25 mile drive to remedy their error. He suggested I call the closer store, give them my credit card number and have them order the right belt, wait 10 to 14 days for it to arrive and then go to them and make the exchange at which time they would credit my card for the one I returned. I again asked him to just deliver the belt to their other store so I could exchange it immediately but he refused and I had to waste over an hour to return to their main store. I found their unwillingness to make reasonable accomodation unprofessional and their attitude completely lacking in customer service. The same brand of lawn equipmemt is available from the "big box" stores for a better price and the promise of better service did not hold up.
