B J Enterprises- 509 painting

Before they actually started painting, they filled all nail holes and calking where ever it was needed. They It all looks beautiful and we are happy.

How'd it go? Well, I guess you would say it went very quietly. Obviously a lot of people have had good results with this provider, so this must be an atypical occurrence, but I am definitely unimpressed.

Crew was polite, punctual and speedy. Work was done in no time flat.

Fabulous work! This is the 3rd time I have used this particular company and I wouldn't consider anyone else. I obtained bids just to check but his came in right in the middle - as always. Jerry seems very knowledgeable as are his crew. They all seem to have been with him for a long time which leads me to believe he is good to work for and they form a cohesive group. He was able to answer all my concerns and questions. They arrived promptly when they said they would. They worked quickly and efficiently. Except for follow up touch up they were done in less than 2 days. The paint appears to be of high quality. I am thrilled with my 'new' home!

Overall the job went well from beginning to end. We requested quotes from 3 companies. We selected them due to price and their explanation of work to be performed. They were able to start the job within a week of our acceptance. As part of the initial meeting Jerry pointed out dry rot issues I had my place and recommended a local carpenter who did the repairs within a week for a reasonable fee while Jerry and his crew were doing the prep work. We were particularly impressed with the thoroughness of their preparation prior to painting. They spent time pressure washing, scraping and filling in cracks. They also primered bare spots prior to applying the color. Two of the houses were the same color and they matched this perfectly. The third had new colors which they matched to our paint chips. Jerry and his crew were very courteous. They worked steadily to finish the job aside from rain delays. We would hire them again and highly recommend this company to others.

The work proceeded well except for rain delays which could not be helped. They showed flexibility when there was a color problem and really wanted the joy done to my satisfaction. At all times the crew was courteous and professional. I am very satisfied with the work.

They did a good job! They got it done in a timely fashion, and they cleaned up after themselves. Generally, they did a pretty good job! I am very demanding, so I would have expect them just a little bit more time on talking about doing some stuff that they are not doing. But they did a great job on the work that they did for me! They told me the price of their service, and I accepted it. They did a lot of interior work, and a lot of it was trimmed and brushed painted so it took time. I just thought it was expensive, but they got it done. They did what they said exactly. Based on the quality of their workmanship, I would use them again in the future, but I might look for somebody a little cheaper in price.

They showed up on time ,were quick and the entryway looks amazing.

Jerry and his crew showed up each day that they said they would, starting early and staying late. The guys were easy to talk to, friendly and very professional. The most important thing of course is the quality of the work. It was excellent. They cleaned up and left with our house looking great again.

I called Jerry Hall and he gave me a rough estimate over the phone as a starting point and we met at our home to finalize the estimate. Because this home is a rental property and the paint color was not changing, Jerry suggested not painting the closets or ceilings as they still looked pretty good, saving us money. Jerry had estimated 2 days, but he arrived punctually and on the day promised with 2 additional painters and got the project finished in one day. Not only did they do a nice job, Jerry and his crew were professional, courteous and what can best be described as good people. I enjoyed the experience!

Jerry gave us the lowest bid we received. He was very responsive, and easy to work with. We were very pleased with the work. Our first experience with Angie's List, and it was a good one!

Excellent job; cleaned up everything; helped us move some stuff and power washed driveway too.

Jerry was prompt in coming to our house and giving us a bid. He was a $1000 cheaper then the first bid we obtained. He explained exactly what the bid included. We did not have him do the painting for several months as we were doing some remodeling in these rooms. When it came time he was very professional and did a great job. On one of the hallways we had discussed Jerry only doing a part of the hallway. However on the bid he had wrote down two hallways so he proceeded to do both hallways to completion. I really appreciated this extra effort even after I brought it to his attention. Also some of the drywall had seams that were still visible after the initial coat of paint. These were supposed to have been fixed by our drywaller. We did not have Jerry do the second coat of paint so the drywaller could fix his error. Once the wall was reskimmed and textured, I called Jerry up to finish the painting. I fully expected to pay Jerry more for the extra time to put two new coats of paint up. When I asked how much I owed, he stated it was his pleasure to do it for me and there would be no charge. He did not take any extra money even after I offered multiple times. Jerry was a pleasure to work with. When it comes time again for the need of a painter he will be given the job with no questions asked.

The recaulking that was done was cracked by the next day. The paint on the hall wall was rolled using a large fuzzy cheap roller and the wall now has roller fuzz embedded in the paint all over it. The rolling did not go into the brush cut-in areas at the top and bottom, leaving 2 - 4 inches near the ceiling and baseboard with a different sheen and texture. Now we'll just redo the caulking and repaint the hall wall ourselves.

Easy to work with. Owner stopped by and left the estimate in my door. Called a few days later and told him it was a go; once the rainy weather let up they came by and painted as agreed. No change in the price and I used my Angie's list coupon. Overall, great to work with and far less expensive than other bids I had received; which was the selling point for me.

I was very pleased with the work. We picked out a single color, which looked great in the home. We did a final walk through to catch any areas that needed touch ups.

Jerry came to my home and gave me a proposal of $2,180.00 to power wash, scrape, prime bare spots and paint the wood trim on 31 windows, all the facia boards, two gable peaks, the garage door frame and the side door and frame. He also quoted $180.00 to power wash and apply epoxy paint to the concrete porch and steps, and $140.00 to power wash and apply black spray paint to the iron handrail around the porch. Regarding his coupons for money off and the 10% senior discount, Jerry explained that I could use one or the other, but not both, which seems reasonable to me. The senior discount of $250.00 was better for me. Jerry did the power washing on Tuesday, and he told me to check the window sills inside in case any water seeped through. None did. He and a crew of three came back on Thursday and they completed the work in one day. Jerry and his crew were working outside and I was inside the house where they couldn't see me. I overheard Jerry tell one of his workers to go back and touch up the trim on a window that had already been painted because the work wasn't done to Jerry's satisfaction. In addition to the painting, Jerry did a number of minor repairs at no additional charge. He also brought to my attention a place that needed a more extensive repair. Although I had not specified a quality of paint to be used, I was later able to determine that Jerry used a very high quality paint. Jerry also gave me a partially filled gallon of the paint he used for the trim and a partially used can of the spray paint used for the iron handrail. This way I knew what paint he used if I wanted to reorder it for repainting in the future. Jerry and his crew did a fantastic job! I would recommend B. J. Enterprises - 509 Painting for all your painting needs. In my opinion, you will get very high quality work at a fair price.

Gerry was wonderful. He encouraged me to get sample colors and paint sections of the wall to make sure I liked the colors and thank goodness I did. I changed my mind on all 3 colors after seeing them on the walls. He showed up on time, got right to work, was neat and quick. The second day he was joined by his assistant who was just as courteous and professional. The job was finished in the estimated 2 days, the cost was exactly what was quoted and most importantly they did a wonderful job! And did I mention that his quote was much less than his competitors? All 3 rooms look wonderful and they cleaned everything up before leaving and even offered to help me move the furniture back in place. I can't say enough good things about 509 Painting. In the spring I'll be having them back to do some painting upstairs.

Jerry and crew painted the inside of a house I'd just purchased skillfully and precisely. He scheduled me in and started promptly. This is a house that I have purchased but have not moved into yet. Each room is vibrant with a rich quality paint. He took the samples I'd already chosen and matched them with the paint he works with. Also, he added in "a few more things" such as painting a popcorn ceiling and brick floor -to- ceiling wall surrounding a fireplace, which I asked about after I saw how much better the living room looked with what he'd already done. His price for additional work was reasonable, and his work crew finished within the time planned, doing a thorough job even with the added requests. All on the work crew were prompt, at work when ever I showed up yet attentive to questions and knowledgeable about their products and techniques. I would definitely call him for other projects. Jerry was prompt in responding to my inquiry. He showed up on time to look at the proposed job and give me an estimate. His price was much more reasonable than other estimates. The paint looks great. The windows are still in progress, but I anticipate they will be fine too.

The painters were extremely professional and were great to work with. They were the easiest of the companies I received bids from to work with and provided an excellent quality of work. I live out of state and they found ways to make the process as smooth as possible. They dealt with all issues that came up quickly and professionally. I would strongly recommend this company for anyone who needs painting done.

We found Jerry through Angie's list. He responded to my initial call immediately and an appointment was set up for him to give us a bid on the job. Jerry gave us a reasonable bid and told us he would be able to work in our small job within the next ten days. He did everything he promised. In less than a week, our ceiling had been retextured and painted for the bid amount. Jerry did a great job and we plan on using his company to paint the exterior of our house next spring.
