Affordable Custom Cabinets

Initially, customer service was fantastic. They were extremely responsive to answering questions. After placing over 11k down (50%) on our custom cabinets the Covid Pandemic hit and they understandably shut down operations. We received a call shortly after they closed from the Project Manager updating us that we were number one on the list once they resumed operations, and we would receive a status report in order to schedule the contractor for the counter tops. After nearly two weeks after their reopening we still have not received a status update. We politely called on three different occasions requesting an update just to be brushed off by employees indicating the PM would be in touch. We still haven’t received word, and have been without a kitchen & two baths for approx 1.5 months. In hindsight, we should have chosen a more reliable company to contract a 20k+ project. Not because they were forced to close shop (which is more than understandable), but because they are all too happy to take your money and don’t mind leaving their customers in limbo with little communication. Frustrated

Cabinets are beautiful, will be hiring again to make cabinets for the bathrooms.

They provided excellent service and we ended up with a gorgeous kitchen we appreciate everyday.

From start to finish we had an amazing experience with Maureen and Affordable Custom Cabinets. Her design FAR outranked all our other bids in style, custom details, and quality for the $$. They were also LESS expensive than the modular non-custom places, which was a shock. We got a kitchen that was craftsman and traditional, but with some funky twists to make it unique. We went with tall cabinets for extra storage instead of a gap or soffits above, so our coat was a bit higher. We also had an adjoining mud room designed to match, with overhead cabinets and hinged benches for storage, and also a breakfast bar in our dining room with built-ins to match. We feel Maureen's design maximized our space and highlighted the personality of our home. In the years since, we have been very thankful for the quality and little details that make our kitchen functional. Everyone at ACC was professional and knowledgable about the company and products--from the showroom to the delivery crew. When a cabinet shelf was the wrong size, they picked it up and fixed it right here in Spokane instead of waiting weeks for out-of-town delivery. We had lots of ups and downs with our home remodel, but our favorite part without a doubt was our kitchen with Affordable Custom Cabinets. Have recommended them to family and friends ever since.

I was on time for my appointment and was acknowledge As soon as I sat down, an existing customer walked in, no appointment, and salesman sat down with them to discuss some accessory purchase. I was completely ignored, not even an ,and quot;excuse me while I talk to Mrs. So-an-So, it will only be a few minutesand quot;. After fifteen minutes (I was timing it) I asked if it was going to be much longer since I had an appointment. The walk in was mortified and hugely apologetic (and quot;so sorry, I thought you worked hereand quot;) and left right away, but the sales person didn't apologize or acknowledge the wait in any manner. The whole experience was very unprofessional, and I left feeling like he thought he was doing me a favor. I will get my $15K worth of cabinets elsewhere where I feel valued. UPDATE: I did get a followup phone call from (the manager?) who seemed very concerned about my experience. We did have a long chat about it. I have no idea if any thing has changed with their service policies or staff training, but at least someone cared enough to follow up.

Excellent experience with staff and product. Design staff excellent help in cabinet design and layout of kitchen. Communications were excellent as project advanced and installation date and time was as they said they would. Installers were very professional, prompt and thorough taking great care to protect our property.

After taking several bids we ran into Affordable Custom Cabinets and discovered it was LESS EXPENSIVE to REPLACE OUR CABINETS THAN REFACE THEM. And, we ended up with beautiful wood cabinets (maple with heritage cherry stain). Jan was exceptionally helpful in our redesign our layout---taking out the soffits and extending the cabinets to the ceiling, switching the range and refridgerator position. She gave us a 3 d visual outline for us to review. The estimate was less than all other bids and we ended up with more cabinets. She also gave us a referral for someone to do the soffit removal. JR was also very helpful and measured everything just right. Affordable custom cabinets exceeded all of our expectations and we never thought we could afford custom cabinents. Highly recommend this company.

Went into store and quot;just shopping.and quot; Consultant was low-pressure and helped us understand what we get for our money at each step moving from most economical to high-priced. Made layout suggestions we hadn't thought of, including moving stove 10and quot; to accommodate a city code we didn't know about, what kind of refrigerator would fit best for the size of the kitchen and the cabinets we were selecting, addition of full-extension pantry drawers (awfully glad they told us about these!), rescue of some space that was wasted with the old cabinets. Once decision made, installation was exactly when they predicted it would be, and was done in one day. Small kitchen, but we were still impressed. They sent manager out for inspection after it was done and to ensure we were satisfied. Only thing we might have done differently would be to upgrade a few more of the drawers to bull-extension self-closing (awfully nice feature!)

I thought the quote was high for just doors. They seemed very nice. The price was a deterent, as well as we would have to hire out for additional refinishing services, as they would just do new doors. They are probably good for new cabinets but for and quot;refreshingand quot; they were not.

We called for an estimate on new kitchen cabinets. Someone came out on a Friday, was professional and punctual. I was initially very happy that we consulted with Angies list. We were to receive an estimate the following Monday or Tuesday. After not hearing from anyone after 2 weeks went by, we contacted the business again and was told that the gentleman that came out to measure sometimes does other work and might have gotten bogged down. We were assured they would get to the bottom of the problem and get back to us. Well, it has been almost a month since this last contact with them and NOT a word since! We considered going in personally to see them because we really wanted to give them the business but decided if they dropped the ball that early in the game, why should I take another chance. I can't understand why in this economy any business would not do their followup! Need I say more?

We wanted white painted maple cabinets that would reach all the way to our 9 foot ceilings and have crown molding that reflected the era of our 100 year old house. We received 4 bids and designs. There were multiple reasons we chose ACC over the other companies. First off, their price was the best, they beat some of the less 'custom' companies in town. Second, Jan, our salesman and designer was definitely the most responsive to our needs. He took the time to sit down with us on multiple occasions, discuss with us what is standard in a kitchen, what our particular situation and needs were, and brain storm and make accommodations to fit our needs (and to fit our rather small awkward kitchen with angled ceilings and 5 doorways). Third, some of the features offered such as a "Barrel Wrapped Lazy Susan", which is great because nothing can fall off, were not offered by other local cabinet companies also many of the customized features such as spice racks and tray holders were included in the price while other companies nickled and dimed each of those as extras. The crew that came out to install was great, and I especially appreciated that Jan came out on the day of install to check and make sure I was happy and that all was going smooth. I've had other experiences where once the salesman sells you he is done, but Jan definitely viewed our project as his from start to finish. He even installed the hardware later on, which was back-ordered, himself. We are very happy with our cabinets.
