ABC Appliance Service

Whirlpool made a service appointment for a brand new washer for rental unit. ABC called the same day and said they weren't available the day scheduled, but they had an opening a week and a half out, and that they would call the day before to tell me the window. I made arrangements for my Tenant (a doctor), who had to clear her schedule, to be home that day. I contacted ABC the day before the appointment and was told that they doubted they made the appointment as they did not have any openings on Friday. Contacted Whirlpool and was told that they declined the service request and told nobody about it , Whirlpool said this company does this all the time. Extremely unprofessional outfit. The receptionist is extremely rude and seems unable to handling scheduling, apparently doesn't even know what areas they service when he confirmed my address and failed to notify me when they realized the mistake. Do yourself a favor and if this is a warranty issue request a different business do the repair. Would give zero stars if I could for wasting mine, my tenants and Whirlpools time. In responding to my google review owner offered all sorts of excuses and believes reviewing my interaction with the business required that I actually used his services, which is entirely incorrect and why I warned people not to use this company.

We really like this company. They always call back after the job is done to check that we are happy with the repairs.

Maytag authorized service provider, the only one that is listed on the website for Spokane, even though there are others available. They charged me $79.30 for a service call just to diagnose the problem. No testing was done & the serviceman they sent had to call a tech for answers, I had to remind him to replace screws before he left & was told that I needed a new compressor for my 2 year old refrigerator & the price would be $800. I called another appliance repair service who are also Maytag authorized & their service call is $59.00, & to replace the same compressor if necessary will be $427

I've used them for 25 years. I've seen people come and go in the company. They're really good. We've lived in this home for 27 years. They took care of it all. They were very responsive. I know the offie people by first name. I like the fact tat they know me and they know my house and my appliances. They're really good with emergencies. They come out as fast as they can. That's really nice. They go out of their way to accommodate us. I'm always pleasantly pleased that they aren't the worst when it comes to appliances. They're reasonable and fair.

They were contracted by an Extended Warranty Company. They showed up on time and called ahead 20min out. Great. They diagnosed the problem as a freon leak somewhere in the system, most likely internally making the unit unserviceable. Ok. He thawed the frozen temperature sensor. Ok. Put things back together. Seemed very professional. Did not recharge the freon. Not ok. We went from having a working refrigerator and a freezer that wouldn't keep ice cream hard to both the refrigerator and freezer staying above 40 degrees. Not ok. Called the repair company back and they wouldn't come out because they told the warranty company that the unit was unserviceable. If they would have recharged the freon we could have limped along until we could purchase a new refrigerator. Instead our food spoiled and we were faced with having to buy a new unit immediately. After some back and forth they did offer to come back out 2 weeks from the initial service date to recharge the freon. How they thought that was helpful is beyond us. Bottom line, I would not recommend this company.

They were very responsive and took care of the job. They identified a factory defect and replaced that part at no charge.

I have used the Appliance Hospital before so I had no hesitation to call them. I had requested a specific technician so I chose to wait a week for my appointment. As it turned out, Dr. Cory was busy, so Dr. Andy came. He was just as good and professional as Dr. Cory. From my description to the customer service person, he was able to discern the part needed for my refrigerator and picked it up from the parts shop on the way. Avoiding a second trip saved me time and money. He efficiently repaired both appliances eoyj quality parts and a great attitude. It is hard to find service as good as theirs.

The workman came on time and proceeded to do everything that I had already tried to unlock my garbage disposal. He said he couldn't fix it, but could install another one and not have to pay for another service call but did have to pay for the installation time. I bought a new disposal and called for installation but it was going to cost another $50. I did it myself. Now I'm out $94 for nothing.

They're punctual. They worked with me when our new refrigerator didn't work. They helped me in dealing with the manufacturer. They went over and above a little bit, giving me phone numbers because it was beyond the point that Appliance Hospital could help us and we needed to get a new refrigerator from the manufacturer. They were helpful and friendly.

The tech showed me the issue and resolved the thermostat problem right away.

I called to see about getting service on my washing machine, and was told they were booked until the following week. But, the service coordinator asked what the problem was, and when I described it, told me how to get information on repairing it myself! She said if I had any trouble, or if I needed parts, to call and they would do everything they could to help me. I was so impressed, since ABC Economy wasn't going to benefit if I was able to complete the repair myself. And, sure enough, the information she described to me was right where she said I could find it. The reason I joined Angie's List is because I'm tired of negative experiences with businesses. This turned out to be incredibly positive, and if I do need to call a repair shop, I'm going to call ABC Economy.

The repairman was knowledgable, was able to answer all our questions and made honest recommendations. I was very impressed with the service we received and will most deffinately use ABC Appliance Service again. We also had a question regarding a washer. He gave us a cost saving suggestion of someting we could do ourselves and suggested two places we could find the items needed.

Though the young man had fixed the main problem we still had water running out under the fridge when the water was turned back on for the house. He discovered the hose connection to the fridge for the ice maker and water dispenser had a hole in it. This had been installed by the last owner who ran it through the floor to the basement and into the cast iron pipe in the basement. The repairman was shocked and said this shouldn't have been done this way which was why we were having leaks in the basement. Well, it was getting late (nearly five pm) and he told us this fix would have to be done by a plumber. I was devastated. My husband was out of town and he normally does the plumbing work around the house. I didn't have the money for one especially for the cost this late in the day. Seeing our distress, the repairman suggested a temporary fix that would stop the leak until another hose could be attached to the fridge. He showed my daughter (one skilled in such things) what to buy at the hardware store and how to install it. She followed his instructions and we were able to turn our house water back on. I was extremely grateful to him for taking the extra time to help us. He didn't charge me for the extra time spent giving us aid and the charge for the work he did was within the estimate I had been given. We have been using ABC Appliance since we moved into our home in 2003. They are always unfailingly polite, the scheduler is efficient and gets us appointments quickly. I've had these people come out for my dishwasher, fridge and washing machine more than once. Every time, service was excellent, timely and fairly priced. All the repairman were clean, presentable, polite, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them for all your appliance needs.

The woman who answered the phone was very unhelpful and utterly useless. I asked for an estimate, and told her that I knew what was wrong with it based on conversations I had with the previous providers. She told me it was a $65 diagnostic charge regardless if I know what the problem is or not. I asked her for an approximate cost for the repair, and she said no she couldn't tell me anything about cost for parts or labor. I asked to speak with someone else, and she put me through to Dan in the parts department. He was very helpful, and was able to give me an estimate. He did have to put me on hold for about 10 minutes, but he was very diligent, helpful and gave me some good advise.
