Mcelfish Tree Care

This is long...but I think everyone should know about their practices. I talked to Shannon, the sales rep about doing a job for me. She came over about 4 weeks ago, gave me a excellent quotation, in fact it was one I couldn’t pass up. I had called a week earlier and schedule a job through another tree company, but it was twice the amount that Shannon quoted. I cancelled with them. She said that she would come by the next week to do the job. I called on Monday to find out when they would come out, to schedule my time. She didn’t answer, but I left a Message, Well I called every day at least two times a day, just got her voice mail. I waited all week, and her company didn’t show. I called the main office a week later and the next left a message. The next day a crew came by to do the job, and said that there was a paper work problem and to say the least I was ecstatic. I took them into the back yard to explain what needed to be done, the supervisor, wanted to know if I talked to Shannon. I told him that I did. They said okay and went back to the truck to start the job. A little while later I heard a knock at my front door and the supervisor said that they had a rush job, and Shannon told them to go to the location, I guess what he said a tree fell down. I am glad that they didn’t start my job yet, because they would have left and I would be stuck with a partial job. I mentioned to the supervisor that I had a feeling that it would happen, especially with the lack of contact from Shannon. He said that he would be back that after noon. Well, of course a no show. I called Shannon and she answered the phone, shock. I told her what happened, she said that she didn’t know it was me, because she was in CDA all day and hadn’t talked to her crews yet and tried to get me off the phone She said she couldn’t see the caller ID and that was the only reason she answered my call, can you believe that? She said that it must have been her dad that told them to go. I mentioned that the supervisor told me it was her. She apologized and said she would take care of it and come have them come out later. It has been a month and they still won’t pick up the phone or get back to me, hence, this terrible review. If they treat all of their customers like this, it is a wonder they are still in business. I even told her I would renegotiate, but, as usual no response. I strongly would tell anyone to not use them for a job. I have called a couple of other services and they will come out for quote. Also, I have used this company a couple of times before, the last time they did a very poor job. I thought I would give them another chance. Never again!!

received estimate about a week prior to work, weather conditions delayed the start of work , but Mcelfish kept in contact with us up until time they could do the work. They did all that they promised, cut many large limbs some over neighbors yards when I got home from work they were done you could not tell they had been in my yard except for the saw marks in the trees.

Called them on Wens morning, they came and gave estimate that afternoon. The came back on the next day and did the work. Everything went well. Very polite and professional. Did the job just as we wanted.
