Hurliman Heating & Air Conditioning

UPDATE: Hurliman heating was very professional and concerned enough after reading my review to call and ask to schedule a follow-up. They sent another tech who came and properly cleaned the coil in the air handler that was missed the first time.

It went well. But I wasn't sure why the pine needles were not removed from the bottom of our heat pump outside. It is full of pine needles, and I thought that the technician would remove those. He didn't. Maybe it isn't a part of his service?

The provider sent out a service tech that seemed to be green and lacking in knowledge. He advised me that he would have his boss get in touch with me about replacing an AC unit that he could not repair, however nobody from his company contacted me after the visit. After the contractor left my property, I had a friend look at the AC unit. He quickly identified the problem and solved the problem at no cost. This contractor simply left me feeling quite disrespected as a customer.

They missed our appointment and when I reached out to them they were incredibly rude and insistent that they had tried to call us to reschedule and we had no call or contact from them.

Had a time mix up but service man flexible. Pleasant, answered all my questions, furnace fall check up and prep done.

Arrived on time, checked system out. did routine maintenance work and added 1 lb of R-22. Young man took off his boots before entering our home :) Unit is now working great and the house is comfortable again.

My original appointment was scheduled for August 10, and a couple hours after the time of the appointment, I received a phone call telling me that their truck had broken down. I wanted to reschedule again during this phone call, but was told by Missey, who I was speaking to, that she would call me back regarding the new appointment. After waiting 25 minutes, I called Hurliman back, and rescheduled for the 13th. The day of the appointment, I waited for the technician to arrive, and when they did not, called Hurliman to find out what the problem was. It was then that I told that I was mistaken...that the appointment was originally for the 14th. I disputed this, and felt that I was being lied to, because I'd written the appointment date down. On the 14th, the technician Mark came out and I didn't feel that he knew exactly the service that he was supposed to be performing. When I took a look at the work order, I saw that the original date of the 13th was crossed out, and the 14th was written in. This is an absolutely unacceptable business practice.

Tech was on time. He was nice. He finished speedily and didn't charge us extra for the wiring.

I will use them again in the future and highly recommend them.

Technician spent 30-45 minutes cleaning and performing a check of the system inside and out. He was punctual and professional.

This is an update to my earlier comments. It took nearly a year but the company finally issued a check to me for the $90 plus tax as they had promised. I believe the woman I talked to was not very nice about it but they did step up to the plate and pay me what they owed me. This is all I had asked and now I can say that this company has honored their word. Thank you In spite of this problem, over the last year, I have recommended this company because the work they did was very good and the guys that came out to do the work were very considerate and helpful.

They actually called and asked if they could come 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled time and they did. Two technicians showed up and were very friendly and courteous. All maintenance was performed and at the end they detailed what had been done, asked if we needed anything else. There were no surprises and they said the unit was working great. The whole appointment took a little over an hour. I will definitely call them in the future when I need work performed.

We were very happy with service provided. Tech was on time, professional, polite, clean cut. He serviced our original 1995 gas furnace, checked control panel. He was very thorough, took the appropriate amount of time, provided information I requested on replacing our furnace. Will use this provider again. Good price for quality work. Thank you. JS

The worker arrived a little late, which was disconcerting as I had a short turnaround time before I had to go to an appointment. I was told they would be there at the earliest time, which was 9am. Once there, he went right to work, but then asked whether I had any bleach, to soak and clean a part of the furnace. I only had a little left, so I had to improvise on how to clean it. He seemed to think I knew what was needed to do to clean it. I didn't realize I was supposed to be his assistant. I spent most of the time cleaning the part, as I needed to leave as soon as the appointment was over. I was able to clean it, with various brushes and cleaners of my own. I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't done the cleaning. I did ask him about whether he could look at my air conditioning unit, but the weather was still too cool to test it. I may or may not have them return to look at the AC unit. I will probably see if I can find a discount before I do that maintenance. The price was reasonable due to using Groupon, but I was told that I will need to replace the furnace unit soon, due to rust in the condenser. I will have another company verify this diagnosis before I replace it. **I received a lovely letter in response to my review, with an offer for free follow-up service. I was impressed that they want to do right by their customers. I will contact them for future work. I like a company that cares about customer satisfaction!!

Their salesperson Terry was very responsive and thorough, he did a good heat load analysis of my house which resulted in him quoting me a smaller furnace then other bids I received. They came out the morning they said they would and their installation guys were friendly and professional and installed the furnace in 5 hours. it's been a day but the furnace is quiet and the temperatures are more even in my house. Overall it was a great experience. Oh and their price was 20% lower than my other bids.

My furnace had just started an intermittent problem of producing no heat for extended periods of time. Ty figured out that my furnace was turning itself off because it got too hot internally. He adjusted gas pressure down a little for low and high fire. He changed the fan speed from low to medium. He asked me about any vents or returns that were closed or blocked, and we found a return I had inadvertently blocked. He made repeated readings of heat coming out of the vents as well as temperature of air going into the returns. I was impressed with his knowledge, thoroughness, and problem-solving skills.

It went great. They were done by Friday. They were on time and professional and unlike any business I've dealt with in a long time. The salesman was very nice. I called him back because I wasn't sure about the operating instructions, and he went over it again with me. He was so helpful and nice. They are very good peple to do business with. They're a little pricey but I think it's well worth the money. I'd definitely use them again.

I had the best Heat pump installed in April 2014. I built my home 10 years ago and was sold a bad bill of goods. The heat pump air handler and line set was installed by the first company incorrectly. this caused it to fail and the manufacture and the original installer did not stand by there work. I did lots of homework. I went through many bids and other brands of heating this time to make my self more aware of what is out there and who is out there do the work. I found that through my own search that Carrier had the best product. I then set out to find the best installer and that is Hurliman Heating. The guys who did the work did a great job. It was a long day and they stayed and helped me with all my questions. Hurliman have followed up and made sure that I am still happy with the heat pump and all the other equipment. I would recommend that if you are replacing or installing for the first time use Hurliman you won't do it twice like I had to do. Doc Holliday was the first company that made a mess out of my heating. Wish I had found Hurliman 10 years ago.

They did a good job. They were slightly cheaper than the other companies I called to do the job. Plus, they were able to schedule me quickly.

Bryan Olson provided very prompt service to replace a furnace (in the home I had just bought) that was old, in need of repair, and damaged by animals (long story). He got the team to remove the old furnace and allow me enough time to clean, repair, and paint the furnace area in order to accommodate the new furnace. As soon as I was finished with my tasks, he got a team to come in immediately to install the new furnace. I was concerned about getting the furnace installed as soon as possible because my 87 year old uncle was coming to visit and I did not want to have him stay in a cold home. Bryan made it all happen on short notice. Thanks, Bryan!

Great service from Cameron, he answered all of my questions and ran diagnostics on the furnace. Well worth the money to know the furnace is working properly. I will use the company again.
