Description of Work: They have been helping my dad for 9 or 10 months. He has bonded with the caregivers, and they are good to him. He looks forward to their visits. | |I have sometimes been frustrated with the main office. When we hired the company, they said the caregivers could call me (I'm in charge of his care) if desired, but only from his home while they are there. Now they are not allowed to call me at all. Instead, I am supposed to call him and ask to talk to them. I am not finding out important things sometimes, now. | |Sometimes it seems like all the different caregivers clean the same things and leave the same things for the next person. So, the plants sometimes don't get watered for a long time, or the dishwasher doesn't get unloaded for days. This seems to be because the caregivers are busy working, and do not always know that the care plan has been updated & they need to read it. They also don't have a system for communicating amongst themselves. He has 3 different caregivers who come, and they have never met one another & have no way to tell each other what's going on other than leaving post-its all over the place. Which works fine until one gets recycled before everyone has seen it. | |I would like to see more attention to communications, I guess. But the care itself has been very good!

+ -1 moreThey are good and very timely. They come in on time and they finish up on time. I have had two and both of them were very good I wouldn't say really excellent because it is a fairly good size house and can't do it all. They come in and ask what do you want done today so I have the option of prioritizing what I want done then they come in and start working. I mean they will literally do anything if I haven't gotten to the litter box like that that gets done. They help make the bed and will do the laundry because I have a hard time with it. It is for anyone who is unable physically to do things. This is not for someone who is perfectly capable of doing their own. Personally, I like what they do and they don't push and their bonded and I have been very happy with them frankly. The girl I have now has been here for years and she does miss things but not big things. She will literally sit out in her car for five minutes rather than come in early and she is right on the dot when she leaves at 4 o' clock and she has worked that whole time. They all have had cleaning jobs prior to going to Family First.
