What a miserable experience. We called to have a switch replaced, that lead to having the circuit breaker replaced, then new wiring, then a new electrical panel. The job drug out over months due to the inability of the electrician to show up on time (as scheduled), lack of parts (supposedly), and redo of the things he installed. We caught him and his helper drinking alcohol on the job - beer that they had stolen from our refrigerator. Numerous beer bottles were left around the property. One of the workers asked to buy a piece of excess furniture I had in the garage - I agreed to let him take it with a promised payment the next time he returned. He never paid for it, never showed up again, and his co-worker said that he quit the company. His picture still appears on their web-site (he is still an active employee). Even though I was promised to have permits pulled - none were provided. I called the owner (Scott) on numerous occasions, e-mailed him several more times. He never replied. Upon listing the house for sale, the housing inspector pointed out several things that were in violation of code. I incurred additional expense by paying a different contractor to fix the stuff that Northwest Electrical did incorrectly. This company was previously doing business as Affordable Electrical. When I checked them out on-line with the Washington State Dept. of Labor, I discovered that their license was suspended by the state and that they had outstanding fines against them. Additionally, they represented themselves to us as fully licensed - that simply was not the case: they are openly practicing fraud. In spite of all of their troubles I was patient with them, and thought they had at long last completed all of the work, so I paid them fully. It wasn't until their work was inspected did I discover that they were not legally licensed, and that their work was not within code. They acted irresponsibly and for these reasons I say that anyone doing business with them is at extreme risk. With service like, good luck trying to remedy and warranty claim.
