John was hired for the entire plumbing for our new home. This project took us several years to complete and included multiple bathrooms, kitchen etc. John neglected to hook up one of our toilets to the water line. He blew air into our walls causing the sheet rock to bulge out from the air. He "fixed" the issue by leaving the pex water line exposed under the toilet with the mesh hose crossing behind the toilet to connect to the toilet water input. I told him at the time that this was unacceptable. That he was hire to do the job right and that I didn't like how it looked. He said he would have to come back and pull the toilet and fix it. He also left the original copper fittings sticking out of the wall. On the Master shower, he didn't have the correct size pipe to hook up the hand held shower and told me he would be back with the correct part. In the meantime he said just to put a wash cloth over the gap so water didn't go between the wall. That was last spring. We have been trying to contact him to complete the work and he refuses to answer our calls. Today I called him from a friends phone and he hung up on me. John seems like a nice guy, if you want someone hanging around all the time. However not completing work that he was already paid in full for is dishonest. I would not recommend him. Also, at the beginning of our project he slashed holes in our black plastic underlayment to drain water with out our knowledge. He told me that he always does this. I had told him that I would remove the water with a shop vac. This caused me days of labor, removing all the plastic and replacing it with new. Not to mention hundreds of dollars to correct his poor judgment. I would include pictures, but the site does not allow it.
Description of Work: We hired John to do all the plumbing for our new home.

John showed up on time, actually slightly early. Very professional, had everything he needed with him, no parts trips. He was in and out quickly, all business, no lolly gaggin. His price was very fair, and he actually came in under his phone guess-timate. I'm very picky as to who will work on my house. I've fired more contractors than I've kept, and even fewer used a second time. I've already booked him to come out and do a whole bunch of other little plumbing projects I've wanted to do, like a hot water spigot outside, expansion tank, etc. And I'm sitting here thinking of other things I'd like.

I did not end up paying them in full as they did not complete the work. They would not return to the job site on time if there was a problem. They failed to install certain things that were required for inspection like appliance for hot water tank and they also had to put a dry wall down that they made, to put the appliance. Their pricing was fair. I had to have some portions redone and I had to bring a private inspector to check the work. I was not satisfied with their service.
Description of Work: They had to do plumbing for my whole house.

We completed and was paid for the rough in plumbing (everything behind the walls) as per contract. The inspection was a pass. The homeowner was asking for work to be completed that was not within our scope of work and without additional pay for the labor. We did go above and beyond by ordering the material requested by the homeowner but we are not a general building contractor. We chose not to finish the job with this homeowner because her level of expectations was way above inspectors standards. There was no way to please homeowner without losing all of our money. When we chose not to continue job we were 5 months into the building of her home and she still hadn't made choices for fixtures to install in her home. There was no way to supply the items homeowner mentioned above since she hadn't picked them out. In our contract with the homeowner we never were to install drywall.
