I employed the services of Tricia Ritter, a decorator/stager from RItter Staging and Design. She met me at my house along with my real estate agent to go through each room to get ideas for staging for when it would go on the market and be listed in a week. Tricia knew I was time crunched and worked with me well in so many ways to make sure I could get everything done before my listing went out. She snapped pictures in each room and gave me her opinions on how to decorate each of them so they would look awesome. She suggested removing some items but at the same time was not offensive about my tastes or placement of furniture or other items throughout the house. She would tell me off the top of her head approxiately how much it would cost for numerous items to outfit the rooms by either going out and purchasing them myself or renting them from particular places. She gave me the names of which stores would accomodate different budgets for staging purposes because there were some items I would buy but probably not keep after the home sold, and other items I would want to keep as a permanent items for my new home. As we walked through the various rooms, Tricia would suggest moving certain items to different rooms to make the ?new look? much better without me having to go out and buy those items. She showed me how to declutter my closets and rearrange them to look neat and more spacious. I was trying to keep up with all her ideas in a notepad I was writing in as she talked. I didn?t need that notepad after all, since the very next day she emailed me an extremely detailed report with all the pictures and the ideas next to each picture that we had discussed, and also there was a lot more input she included on the report that wasn?t discussed during the visit. She also gave me the option for her to do all the shopping of accessories herself, and to stage the whole house for a fixed amount. Lastly, we had talked about storing many of my personal things in a POD that would be in my driveway, I would load up myself, and then it would transported to a secure facility. She gave me the link and prices for that. All in all, Tricia is extremely knowledgeable, she has great taste, and it was definitely worth hiring her. I am so glad I called her because my home looks ten times better than it had before I hired her. She transformed my ordinary looking house into an amazing, neat, comfortable and classy home. Thank you, Tricia!
