Description of Work: I called twice to inquire and left detailed messages, nobody never called me back. Went with another painter

Description of Work: Complete exterior house painting. Went very well.

Description of Work: Paint Rangers bid to paint the exterior of single-story 1600 sq.ft. house. (Design of house makes for story-and-a-half exterior walls.) Bid was not the lowest. Paint crew seemed to know what they were about. Got the job done with low-sheen paint they recommended. Did note some raised nailheads that were not re-set. Satisfied, overall on the house, however, as part of the overall job, Rangers charged $280 to stain my backyard deck. It was a very, very warm day and the sun shone directly on the deck. The deck boards were hot to the touch. The very worst conditions, I learned later. The deck never dried completely. Two weeks later it was still sticky to walk on. Had to completely strip off and re-stain. Luckily, the stain manufacturer, when contacted, furnished stripper, brightener and stain. It was from them I learned that under the conditions Rangers applied their product, the stain will "flash dry" on the surface leaving a sticky finish. Good product when properly applied. (Rangers recommended, but failed to apply correctly. I know they wanted to get my job done in one day and not have to send one man back to apply stain when conditions were cooler.) Not happy about the deck. Rangers nonplussed when I expressed my concern.

Description of Work: I contacted The Paint Rangers for a quote on a complete exterior paint job. Jeff from Paint Rangers was pretty quick to reply and came over to the house within a day or two of my request. I was happy with how prompt Jeff was and the time he took with me to go over the process. He mentioned that he would have the quote e-mailed to me that night, but I got it the next day, so not too bad. The quote was about $3500 which included the $500 off coupon. The only issue was the paint colors, Jeff wouldn't go forward unless I could supply the paint color code from Sherwin Williams. | |So, when I got the quote, I had a few questions on it, and sent Jeff two e-mails the same day I recieved the quote. I waited two weeks for a reply, but never heard back. I called the office number and left a voicemail asking about the quote and that I now have the colors and I'm ready to go. I never heard back from that voicemail. The next day, I called Jeff's cell phone and left a voicemail asking about the quote and when we can get scheduled. That was a few day's ago, and I've not heard back from anyone. So needless to say, I've scheduled the exterior paint with another company. | |With the lack of communication, it seems like The Paint Rangers has completly disappeared. I wonder if they are no longer in business?

Description of Work: Came on a weekend to provide a quotation and promised to provide quote by middle of following week. Did not provide quote as promised. A week later, I phoned and asked if he had sent his quote - he said no. I told him I couldn't wait any longer and was going to award the job (approx $12k) to another painter. At that point he became very surly and told me he didn't want to work for me anyway.
