As a general contractor, we have worked with Dennis on many projects over the years. For flooring installation and flood/damage repairs. He is great to work with, professional and clearly loves his work. Definitely shows in the finished product. Would highly recommend and recently had him replace all flooring in my home with LVP and carpet.

Dennis White, aka My Flooring Guy, may be new to Angie, but he’s been in the floor business for a long time- and is a real pro. I needed carpet installed in just one room- a job that might have been too small for most. But My Flooring Guy did the work quickly, cleanly and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend him.

I especially appreciate his attention to detail and the fact that he is a perfectionist. I have OCD and anytime I would express concerns or my expectations - he would listen and always explain in detail what it would take to get the results I needed. I have referred Dennis to my coworkers and friends. It is worth every dime spent to use him versus any other company out there!

Do NOT hire Dennis! Save your time and look elsewhere.

Dennis was fast with his responses and very knowledge. We immediately felt comfortable with him and his team installing the stairs in our home. He also was kind enough to help with some transitional pieces in other parts of our home. I would highly recommend this company if you are looking to have new flooring installed.

Dennis' work was superb. His attention to detail was wonderful. He was very conscientious about helping me choose just the right wood and achieve the finish I was looking for. He carefully crafted threshholds for each room. Throughout the project he kept in communication and may be the only contractor I've ever worked with that kept to the schedule promised and actually completed the project with time to spare! While I thought his work was amazing, my belief was confirmed when on the final day of the project another professional woodworker was on-site to help with some doors and raved about Dennis' work.

Dennis was very responsive when I called to set up an estimate (which is rare nowadays with contractors in my experience). Once we agreed for him to do the work, scheduling was easy and he even texted me when he was on his way on the day of the job. The flooring was installed very well and in a timing manner. Dennis and his co-worker were clean and professional and seemed to take pride in their work. I would hire him again if I need future work done.

I always remind my wife that no contractor is going to do "perfect" work on a job because our expectations are so high. Dennis and his son, however, came the closest to being PERFECT as any contractor we have hired. It is always tough to go into an existing house and work around everything that is already in place, but Dennis did an excellent job in respecting the rest of the rooms in our house. Preparation and clean-up before and after was flawless. He was referred to us by our neighbor, who had had his floors refinished by DW. My neighbor couldn't say enough about the quality of DW Installation's work, so I decided to hire him without having any other contractors bid on the work. Dennis came out a few days earlier than our scheduled appointment because he happened to be in the neighborhood. When we met, he measured our floors, discussed the different options we had, and gave us the confidence that he would do a great job. Prior to the job, we were having trouble picking out a suitable stain color. I mentioned a few colors that we were considering and Dennis put together a large, sample plank with a half-dozen colors and a clear finish on it. Seeing how the colors would look on our floor helped tremendously and we were able to pick a color that would work. DW uses a "dustless" system so we didn't have to screen off the house with plastic like with a previous contractor. It was amazing how clean the house was after he was finished. The job took a week to complete. We decided to stay put the first few days (pretty noisy), but had to leave the last few days because of the smell and fumes from the three finish coats he put on the floor. When we came back to see the finished job, we were amazed at how good it looked. The floor was glistening and looked just like a plate of glass had been placed over the floor. Prior to the job, we pointed out few problem areas on our existing floor due to water damage and Dennis took care of each one of them. Everyone who has seen our finished floor said it looks like it had just been installed. Dennis was a joy to work with. He has an outgoing personality and really knows his business. I know you won't be disappointed if you have him re-finish your floors. We had to wait a few months to have him do our floors because he is booked well in advance. For us, it was well worth the wait.

DW did a great job, Dallas was present the entire time overseeing his polite, and skilled group of workers. They were never late, always very respectful to our house and property, and kept a tidy and clean work site. Dallas checked their work regularly, and they were eager to take responsibility and fix any problems that we could notice. They were prompt with solutions, and whenever there was a problem or a concern they were always prepared to pitch me 2-3 solutions along side of the problem, as a manager of a small company, this is what I am constantly looking for in employees, and they were eager to help. The floor is beautiful, finished, and their installation was crafstmanesque for the price. Great company, great service.

I inquired whether he could do measurement and installation of a stair runner for my home, and his immediate reply was "Yes, but I don't have time right now." I told him I was in no hurry, but he said he wasn't sure when he could do it. I decided to look elsewhere.

They were fine. They were professional, they came out and did the quote and gave us their number. The price was high.

Great experience. Very accommodating with the intermittent nature of how the project progressed. All of that was my decision making. Did great work finding the wood we were looking for. Really nice work on the installation. The stairs look fantastic. The whole floor does, but the stairs are really, really nice. The work was done in a very timely manner. I have no complaints and we plan to use this vendor again when we get more carpet converted to wood flooring in other rooms in the house. ** Note that the location where the work was done isn't accurate. The Angie's List menu only give an incorrect zip code or provider's location as options along with my full address. I am NOT putting that on a review. The actual zip code where this was done is 98059. **

Provider scheduled a visit to give an estimate for the job. He never showed up, and never called to say he wasn't coming (he had our number). Just blew us off. The only reason he didn't get an "F" was that this was only for the QUOTATION visit, not the actual installation (had he acted the same way for that, it would have been an F). But based on this lack of professional response on this, I can't say I have any trust in him to do the actual job.

Have worked with Dennis numerous times and it's always a positive experience

I interviewed five flooring contractors and I selected Dennis because, when I met him, I was convinced of his ability and desire to do a good job and because he offered me a top-of-the-line, nailed down hardwood floor for a cost competitive with what I was being offered by others for engineered, floating flooring. I also especially liked that he was an independent contractor and not a salesman from a big flooring company. I was concerned how it was possible to install new flooring in a fully finished apartment with no garage or outside space to move furniture. This was not a problem for Dennis and Jeremy. I packed up small items and they moved all the furniture, the stove, the refrigerator, the washer and dryer--everything. And, when they were finished they affixed felt protectors on all my furniture and placed each piece back in its original place. Dennis installed the flooring exactly as I wanted it: North and South in the hall, kitchen, and bedroom; and East and West in the living room. He made beautiful transitions into each change of direction and at the entry door. In the past I have dealt with contractors who were argumentative or who found reasons to inflate their original estimates in ways that were not convincing. This did not happen with Dennis. Dennis was always in good humor, he charged me exactly what he quoted, and he offered to take care of any problem that comes to my attention. My experience with Dennis was by far the most satisfactory I have had with any contractor.

It looks great. You cant even tell where he patched. He went above and beyond with attention to detail that we did not even anticipate. Work was done quickly and on budget. Great customer service from Dennis and his team. We would recommend him to anybody and already have.

Although we weren't able to have Dennis bid our job due to our expedited timeframe, he was polite and professional in declining the opportunity to bid our job.

Dennis was highly recommended to me. He is always cheerful and full of "can do" attitude. He gave me a fair written bid and did not "nickle and dime" me to death like so many other firms attempted. On the day of the install, he called to see if it was ok if he arrived 2 hours early which I welcomed. Due to the earlier time, I didn't have the rooms cleared of the light items but he and his assistant cheerfully pitched in. I had some chronic floor squeak areas he quickly solved. They were fast, careful with my home and carefully cleaned up after themselves. The carpet looks fantastic! Thank you so much for a job well done!

Dennis was professional and always had a "can-do" attitude. There were a couple of miscommunications along the way, but he was always upbeat, positive, and made it work. He was always on time and his time and cost estimates were right on the money. The results are awesome. Our manufactured home was pretty trashed. It looks really great now.
