The owner, Mr. Chandler, is a professional person. He comes with a clipboard & gives an estimate on-site. He writes everything down & is just very professional. When he hands over the contract for acceptance, he includes some reviews from previous customers. He's on the job with his crew as well.

I approached Chandler as he and his crew were working at the home next to mine. We agreed on the price, to cover topping and shaping my birch tree. Chandler advised that the work next door would take enough time for me to get cash for payment. I went to the bank, confident that on my return I'd have time to get a competitive quote as the next-door work continued. [Reason to get cash, rather than pay by check: Chandler informed me that paying by cash would avoid sales tax.] As I came back from the bank with cash, Chandler and crew were still working my neighbor's job. During this time, Seattle Tree offered to do the work---based on my emailed photos to them--for $300. When I stepped out to chat about the price Mr. Chandler pointed to the tree [ not fully shaped]. "It's already done," he said. On further discussion I had to agree, we had entered into an oral agreement - Chandler *had* done the work, just not the full shaping job--the crew had not addressed the problem of tree branches overhanging a storm drain. I recalled for him that part of my original request for services was to address that problem. Seeing no ladder on the Chandler truck, I offered use of my extension ladder. With that, Chandler instructed a crew member to return to finish the job. Moral: Pay the sales tax, pay by check, do the competitive bid homework --timely.

The job went fine but they would only take cash. Their price was reasonable.

I found them on the internet and I had some tree service done.

We are extremely happy with the job Chandler's did and would definitely call them again. The trees needing removal were quite close to our house (branches overhung our roof), as well as our playset, fence and a custom patio. Chandler's used ropes to lower all branches down and were careful to have the firewood rounds land in one safe area below the trees. There were no incidents or damage to our yard or house. The employees stacked the rounds on the other side of the house (we opted not to pay them to haul away) neatly and safely with our kids in mind. They came back the next day to grind the stumps (also a large job) and neatly piled the chips on site. Some tree services do not do their own stump grinding, but it was nice to work with only one company to complete the entire job. Chandler's was on top of calling me the night before to let me know timing for the next day's work each time. They are a family business and seem to run a very smooth, reliable operation. I especially appreciated that owner Brian Chandler is on site for all tree removals should any issues arise. We got four bids before beginning work and Chandler's was the lowest and offered "one-stop shopping" to get the job done. During the bid meeting, Brian gave me an honest assessment that another tree did not need trimming, and I appreciated that.

A random check of one of my maples revealed a huge rotten spot right down its middle. This problem required a fast resolution. I called five professionals from Angie’s List. Maggie was wonderful assisting me. She informed me that a crew would be able to stop by within hours, provide a free estimate and remove the tree at that time if I wanted them to. Brian arrived and was friendly and understanding of my situation. Chandler’s estimate was a bit less than the other ones that I had gotten. The fact that they were able to perform the work right then and there was a big plus. I decided to have them remove the tree. Brian and his three man crew were professional throughout and did a great job. Portions of the tree were put into neat piles as I opted to take care of of the majority of the clean up my myself. Very professional and friendly business.

All positive. Brian is very responsive from start to finish. He came out and gave me an estimate and was very easy to talk with and knowledgeable. I ended up doing more work than originally planned due to my changes and he took it in stride and the final bill only came up a little. He took down some additonal trees for me at no charge. He communicated, called when he was coming over and called to make sure the job was done to my satisfaction. His crew was extremely courteous and every one of them thanked me for the work. They cleaned up very well and raked the area. They worked hard and quick and I highly recommend them for any tree work. My neighbor is now going to use them also.

We decided not to move forward with the work, but the company was very professional.

We had a large Douglas Fir fall in our backyard after the last windstorm. Brian Chandler came out and gave us an estimate shortly after we called. They ended up cutting down 4 trees and cleaned up the one that had fallen . Brian was wonderful in explaining why the trees that did need to come down, should come down and recommended keeping others that weren't in danger. The work was performed a couple of days later and exceeded our expectations in every way. They were efficient, professional and did an outstanding job. The price was more than reasonable and included a few discounts. The shredded all the branch waste and vacuumed up the sawdust. The yard looked better than it did before the work. They also stacked the rounds as we chose to keep them for firewood later. We would definitely use them again and have already recommended them to a few friends who also need some tree service. Highly recommend these folks!

Highest recommendation!! You will not go wrong with this company. We called on a Saturday and received a same day estimate. Brian Chandler is very personable and answered all of our questions. He provided advice on options for handling various trees but made it clear it was ultimately our decision. He provided us an itemized estimate. He obviously is knowledgeable about trees and is an excellent communicator; my wife and I both enjoyed talking to him. The actual work was done on the following Monday (2 days after the estimate). The crew was professional, polite, and hard-working, They did an outstanding job and exceeded our expectations. The clean-up work was superb. After getting home from work, my wife did a walk-through and was thrilled with the quality of the work. The whole experience from start to finish was outstanding. I will definitely use this company again if I need a tree pruned, trimmed or removed.

They were on time both for estimate and actual job. The owner came prepared with copies of his license and insurance and I was easily able to confirm them. Efficient, hard working. One tree came down during a windstorm. Three next to it were also in danger of falling on a structure. They not only felled the trees but cleaned up all of the brush and debris in the area. I wanted to keep all the chips and they were careful to ask exactly where I wanted they placed. They provide an excellent service.

Mr. Chandler came to give us a bid. He showed up on the day agreed to and was very prompt time wise. He was very nice, knew what he was talking about and very professional. He was quick and efficient. When the crew came to do the job they were very nice too and easy to work with. They got about their business of taking the trees down and got to work. They were very professional and brought the branches and section down...damaging very little in the way of other plants. They stacked the wood rounds, cleaned up the branches and left very little for me to finish up. I only had to do a little raking and a few odds and ends. It was a job well done and I will use Chandler's again if I have a tree or two to take down again.

It was fine. I liked their flexibility and the politeness of the crew. The got the job done on time. The clean up was good. They are coming out tomorrow for some more work.

We set and appointment time the owner showed up did a walk through of my yard and looked at the trees I wanted taken down and then provided a bid. They did follow up with two calls after the bid to find out if I wanted the service done. I didn't choose that provider because the bid was 100% higher than the low bid and 50% higher than the middle bid.

They were prompt with the quote and patient for us to start the job. They were considerate not causing damage and cleaned up very well from the job. There was one hiccup in getting the large stumps removed but it got done and they followed up with a call to make sure that we were happy.

Chandler Tree Service was a pleasure to work with from initial contact to their final call back to see if I was satisfied. They don't do stump grinding, but sub it out to another contractor; however, they do take responsibility for the quality of the stump grinder's work. I initially accepted the grinding/cutting work as "good enough", but after looking at it for a couple days decided that the "tabletop" stumps really weren't level enough to set a pot on, so I called the company and asked them to come back at their convenience and re-cut the stumps. They came back in a couple days and made them nice and level. As for the grinding, I couldn't judge the work until a few weeks later, as I had to dispose of a mountain of woodchips before I could inspect it. On final inspection, there are still some stubs of the stumps sticking up too high for my purposes, and I will have to do something to cut them down some more: either hire a grinder again, or perhaps rent a machine and knock it out myself. The grinding contractor couldn't probably tell, due to the huge amount of sawdust? I don't know what's expected as this is the first time I've ever had stumps ground. Overall, I give the tree company high marks; and I would give the stump guy "average" marks if I were rating him alone, since he didn't cut it level the first time, and also he left a huge rock on my lawn that I had to figure out how to move by myself.

They did a fantastic job! One tree was by a new deck, and another was near a fence and a japanese maple. They were able to cut the trees down without any damage to the areas. They were very prompt and professional and the price was much less than we expected. Scheduling and communication was very friendly and prompt.

the guys who took down the dogwood tree were responsive, conscientious, and cheerful. the person with the stump grinder had difficulty getting into our backyard and the grinder slipped down a slope into a tree. in order to get out of it, he needed to cut down the branch, which he did quite cheerfully. other than that they did a very good job.

They quoted $900 for the job. They were professional and I didn?t have any problems with them. I have received other quotes and I have not decided which company to use. I don?t have any reason for not considering this company in the future.

Exceptional experience! They were able to give us a bid within a few days of our initial call, and took the time to answer all our questions fully (and we had a lot). Communication and professionalism was excellent all the way through, from initial contact to job completion. The crew arrived on time (they called ahead to let us know they were on their way and remind us to move the cars out of the driveway), and they were able to complete everything in one day. The work was done exactly as promised, and then some -- they took the time to ask us specifically what we wanted them to do on several trees, and they worked HARD. They even left the yard cleaner then they found it! And to top it all off, Brian called a week or so after the job was done to be sure we were satisfied. I have no hesitation in giving them my highest recommendation.

I was approached by one of their team last winter when they were doing work in the neighborhood, and he wrote up a quote then. Deciding to not have the trees removed until later in the year, I asked for another quote from them late September and it was a couple hundred less. The office was quick to respond to messages and questions I had. And I was impressed with how well the large limbs over my house were controlled as they were cut, preventing any risk of damage. The four men who came to remove the trees worked well as a team. The stump grinding was scheduled a few days later.

When I called to get an estimate they asked pertinent questions and told me they would be out within the next two days to do the estimate. They did not come out for 8 days. I had actually forgotten about them. The estimate was higher then others I had received. They did give me a nice formal write up with letters of reference, confirmation of their liability insurance, contractor licensing and bond information. If the price had been better I might have forgiven them for not coming around when they said they would. ($845.00)

I got call backs right away. Got a very competitive bid as compared to two other local companies. Their office staff was very informative and they mailed their license and bond info right away when I asked for it. They showed up on time and did exactly what I asked for at exactly the price they bid. They were very professional and efficient during the job. The owner, Brian Chandler, called me a number of times to make sure I knew what was going on with the bid, scheduling, etc. I really couldn't ask for better service. I would use this company again or recommend them to my friends.

I was so impressed as they arrived within a few days of contact. This was my first experience with them. Unfortunately, I do not recall the cost. However, we were only planning to have them do a select number of trees. When my husband heard the price, he requested for some additional tree work to be done. There pricing was very reasonable. Considering they were overworked due to the snowstorm, they were more than willing to complete the additional requests. I was very impressed by the crew.

I HAD CALLED 3 COMPANIES TO COME OUT AND BID. THIS COMPANY WAS THE ONLY COMPNAY WHO CAME OUT AND GAVE ME A BID. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL IN EXPLAINING HOW THE TREE WOULD BE TAKEN DOWN AND OUR OPTIONS ON WHAT TO DO WITH THE FALLEN TREE AND LIMBS. WE HAD A FRIEND WHO WOULD COME TAKE THE BRANCHES AND LOGS TO HIS HOUSE TO BURN.
