They came on time, showed up on time, and did their work quickly, and accurately.

He was very pleasant. It took a while, but he got the job done. I liked what he did. We were very impressed with him. Everything seems just fine. They were here within 15 minutes of their scheduled time. I really didn't have any problems with anything with them.

We have been very pleased with Butterfield Plumbing. They suggested we do something outside of their scope of service first. They didn't charge us for it and were very friendly. This was our third call to them. I was disappointed because it didn't fix the problem, but they were on top of things. The phone call didn't suggest that maybe we should check that first. The same guy couldn't find our house after 6 months, but we are hard to find. He drove up and down and I waved every time he went by. He eventually got there.

Paul was very nice; professional, punctual, friendly and efficient. He explained the problems involved in this type of unit, got right to work and even showed me where my main water shut-off is located (something I'm sure I should know). He was great, and I would use Butterfield again. The only difficulty I had was in getting something booked - not entirely their fault, my schedule at work was an issue along with finding a time that would work for their busy schedule. Mary Kay at the office is always so nice, and I felt she did a terrific job getting everything set up for me.

This may seem late for a review but I wanted to warn others before they used this company. We hired them to replumb a new house that we just purchased. The price was in the mid range but they seemed reputable and licensed and bonded so we went ahead. The guy that did the work appeared to be knowledgeable and efficient. They completed the job and I thought all went well. Well it turns out that they did not do some of the work to code. We only discovered this when we had some additional work done and another plumber pointed it out. I reached out to Herb Butterfield the company owner, he initially responded but then just stopped returning emails and calls. His actions were unhelpful and extremely unprofessional. What started out as a good experience turned out to be a bad one. My only resolution was to let others know so they would be aware of the type of company this was before hiring them.

I've used them multiple times, and I've always had good experiences. They always schedule and respond quickly, the plumbers are friendly, and they do good work.

Butterfield did good work for us until our bathroom remodel. Then a lot of things went wrong: - The front office was completely confused about the estimate / work. We had to go back and forth several times. - The plumber arrived with no documentation and no updated info about the job. I had to explain the work, print an estimate and hand it to him. - The plumber missed multiple appointments. - I was then contacted by the owner (Herb) saying it would cost an extra $1,000 to finish the job I thought we had agreed to. To make it worse the owner then says it's my fault for not understanding the plumbing lingo on the estimate. He wouldn't finish the work for the original estimate so we took our business elsewhere. It's ridiculous. Before the plumber started the work I said "hey please go over this estimate and make sure everything makes sense". I stood right next to him while he reviewed it and said "ya this looks good". As someone who isn't a plumber I don't know what more I could have done.

Came out on a weekend to patch badly leaking water service line. Standard and well communicated weekend fee charged. Came back about a week later and installed new line. They sub-ed out the horizontal drilling and that went super-fast. Everything went smoothly. Biggest annoyance was how long it took Seattle Public Utilities to get off their duff and come-out and inspect the work before it could be covered back up.

I called Butterfield Plumbing in the morning when I discovered a plugged drain in my basement. They were able to come the same day and fixed the problem. The technician was clear about the costs before the work started. He was courteous and knowledgeable and courteous and did an excellent job. I will use this company's services again.

They were very nice and they didn’t charge me a dollar. But I don’t think they spent enough time diagnosing my problem. There was some question as to whether or not that was the problem and I later went to replace the kitchen sink myself and that didn’t fix my problem. So I dint know if he did as much. He seemed a little reluctant to spend as much time on it because I think he might have had checked the plumbing and the pipes behind the wall because I think there was something wrong with those. I think he was more interested in selling me a faucet. He was extremely time conscientious. He was here for almost an hour and he didn’t charge me a penny. The estimate was $300. He did what I asked him to do while he was here.

I plan on using Butterfield for all of my plumbing needs in the future. Called them out for some minor work and asked for a bid on the re-pipe. Got a detailed bid - Thomas and David did the re-pipe in less time than expected, and right on budget, which I very much appreciated. They arrived when they said they would, were kind to the two annoying-but-cute puppies I have (I did barricade them out of the way most of the time), and cleaned up any mess they made. I was impressed with the way Thomas pointed out things that I could do in the future to increase my efficiency and his receptiveness to my frequent questions. Thank you!

terrific job on a very complicated installation. Water heater serves house and under floor heaters.

Everything went perfectly. They got us on their books within a week. The workers were professional and easy to work with. It only took about 4 hours for the work, but they worked carefully. They measured perfectly so both vanities lined up with the plumbing. I would recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work.

The guys arrived as scheduled and were very professional and nice to work with. Ethan explained what he was going to do, provided estimates of the repair cost and quickly got to work. The problem with the toilet was quickly diagnosed as a wax seal that needed to be replaced so the toilet was pulled and re-set. An attempt was made initially to repair the air relief valve for the dishwasher to avoid the expense of completely replacing it (which I appreciate). Ultimately though, it did need to be replaced. Overall both guys did a great job at quickly fixing the problems, provided explanations of their work and billed for the services at a reasonable amount.

Great experience. Technician was professional, helpful and didn't try to make the problem more than it was. Really appreciated the quick service on a very busy day for them. Couldn't be happier.

I was very impressed by Butterfield Plumbing from estimate to job completion. The company was very responsive in sending out Thomas to make a bid the same day as requested. I also greatly appreciated working only one person (Thomas) as the estimator, lead plumber, and overall project manager. That kind of continuity is great on a residential project like mine, where you put a lot of trust in the company working on your home. I had a lot of questions about how the project would proceed, what work exactly would be done, and what product would be used. Thomas was very patient with all my questions and even did a small demonstration of how the product (Uponor HePex) worked, and would be installed. In the end, the project was completed at the quoted price, a full day ahead of schedule. In addition, I did my own research on the products recommended by Butterfield, and was pleased to find good reviews elsewhere - I now trust Butterfield with both working on my home and in recommending products to be used. I expect to replace my water heater in the coming years and plan on using Butterfield (Thomas if available) for that work.

During the recent freeze, I had an outside faucet break and water was spraying everywhere. Of course this happens on a Saturday. I called Butterfield's emergency line, explained this was an emergency as I had to shut down all water to my house. Butterfield explained that since it was the weekend there was a higher cost which I agreed to. David was at my house within an hour. I have an older home, and David was very open with the worst case scenario due top the old galvanized piping. Luckily David was able to fix the issue very quickly without taking any extreme measures. All pricing was up front. Overall I was pleased with the service.

The technication I spoke with was Bill. He was honest and didn't try to up sell me a new water heater He even told me that if he was in my shoes he would not replace it. He was wonderful. I flushed my water heater like he suggested and its working fine and took the time to show me how to do it. He left a bid for a new one when the time was right. Everyone else wanted to replace it with a cheaper made replacement. He also talked to me about an instant heat water heater, but I declined because I heard they explode. Bill said that if I decided to get the instant one, he could mount it on the outside of the home and it wouldn't effect the way it works in case it does malfunction. He gave me all my options, was very informative, and didn't make a dime. He took his time with me and there was no pressure to buy anything. If I do need to purchase a new water heater in the future, I will go to them because they were willing to give me tips on how to maintain my water heater so that I can keep it for longer. It's a small but very creditable company.

Jared was very professional. He scoped the job and gave an honest bid. He was up-front with the risks and limitations of what he could do. The work that was performed was top-knotch and there have been no issues since.

Butterfield plumbers are professional, timely and polite. They also guarantee their work, which I appreciated.

Bill came out to give a free estimate and talk through the job with me. When we settled on the work to be done, he was respectful of the time I took to consider the estimate, what it would take to just do it ourselves, and even worked with me to stay within my budget for the work. A couple of weeks later, I scheduled for Bill to come back and do the work. He and his assistant/apprentice were professional and took care to keep the area clean as they worked and once they were finished. The "B" for punctuality was for arriving late, and it seemed to take a little longer than I'd have expected, but I was confident in the work completed, so overall, all was ok.

Their estimate was in line with others recieved, and they came in at their estimate. The job took as many days as stated. Overall, everything is functional and they did give us a number of improvements to our old plumbing (including fixing some work that had been done poorly during a prior kitchen remodel). However, I'm not thrilled with a few things. 1) They drilled through a couple of floor joists, then didn't end up using those locations. 2) Some of the plubming is not well supported. 3) There were wood shavings left everywhere in the basement--I'm still cleaning them up 6+ months later. 5) We had to have them return to fix a leaky connection. I would recommend them, but not as highly as I'd hoped initially.

They were great and I got them off Angie's List. I would use them again in the future if needed.

I had a positive and average experience with them. I am not sure if I would recommend them ahead of any other plumber. The technician who came to my house did the work as expected. They were not cheap. I would not use them again in the future.

Tory was awesome! He showed up on time, as promised and did a wonderful job. It was a rainy day (imagine, rainy in Seattle ! ) and he put down a drop cloth and even had slippers so he didn't track water on our floors. He installed our new toilet and hauled away the old one. When we need another plumbing job, this is who we will call.
