"Everything from end-to-end was professional, patient and detailed. We had lots of time with sales and design to see our options. They guided us through decisions we didn’t even know we’d have to make. The whole house was immediately warmer and the installation was so smooth. (At least from our side. I hope the installers felt the same.) The installation team told us each day what they would be working on tomorrow and worked around a couple of tight and high areas with no issues. They took extra steps to protect the surrounding areas and provided great information about how it was going. They took time to save some special millwork around the front door on the inside that we weren’t sure could be saved. It looks great. Finally, the Milgard windows we chose are so crystal clear, it feels like I’ve moved to a different yard. So grateful for everything Lake Washington Windows and Doors provided for us. However, if you need to replace your window or repair a broken double pane, it’s best to call in a professional window replacement installer to lend a hand. Replacing the majority or all of the windows in your home is a time consuming job and best left to a professional.
Window replacement costs between $180 and $410 per window, or an average of $280 per window. However, your specific replacement job could cost as little as $100 or as much as $750. Factors such as frame material, the number of windows you need, and the type of glass you order all impact the overall cost. For example, simple double-glazed windows will cost $3 to $6 per square foot, but the stronger tempered glass ranges from $12 to $14 per square foot.
The time it takes to replace a window is a total of four to 15 weeks. This time includes your initial consultation, appointments for measuring, as well as ordering and manufacturing your windows.
