They returned on Jan 8 and installed the forms to do a continuous pour. Before they installed the forms I pointed out that the top of the dirt behind the new wall was 2" below the top of an existing wall which the new wall was to match with. When they started to install the first form adjoining to the existing wall I was asked where and how I wanted this wall merged. I told them that it was to but up against the existing and be even with the top of the existing. I felt that the way the excavation was done that it was very apparent what was expected. After the forms were installed I commented that the gap under the forms was not uniform. There was about 4" at one end and about 2" at the other end of the wall. Mr Fosmo said that was OK and would just be extra concrete flowing under the opening. I presumed that they would spread this extra uniformly. That was not the case. This whole mess started when they tried to pump the concrete through a transition to a smaller diameter hose. The concrete mix would barely move through the normal sized hose. They added accelerator to the mix before they confirmed they could actually pump it. The mix would not pump. They spent about an hour beating on the hoses with hammers in an attempt to cause the concrete to flow through. Three times they disconnected the smaller hose under pressure and pumped and blew concrete everywhere and into my wheel barrel until it overflowed onto our basement floor. Eventually they diluted the mixture and replaced the smaller plugged up hose and started pumping. After this long delay I could see that the concrete in the wheel barrel and on the floor was beginning to stiffen. The mix they were pumping would not flow and just piled up to where they had to push and pull it into place. The forms that were installed were too tall to reach over the top and work and so two workers crawled back into the limited space behind the forms and pushed tis thick concrete around. Since Mr Fosmo did not provide any additional lighting where they were working they could not see very well what they were doing. Since there was no provision made to control the height of the wall and the mixture being so thick, the wall got higher and higher as they worked across the back of the crawl space. I could not see exactly what was happening because of the height of the forms. This was not apparent to me until they removed the forms. The wall became higher and higher and the concrete became thicker as they worked across the back. The wall now goes up hill and is now about 12" higher than the starting end. In addition, the concrete area behind the wall varies from about 4" to 12" thick instead of the 2" to 3" planned for. This has reduced the overhead clearance I tried to maintain or increase when excavating. Mr Fosmo was advised of this both when he first looked at the job and through email contact with photos attached. Then the lower flat area was poured and spread. I worked very hard to excavate this area flat, uniform and reasonably level presuming a finished uniformly flat surface. Being that the concrete mixture would not flow, was now setting up stiffer, this area turned out wavy and not uniform. The thickness varies from probably 2" to over 4". Then there was the clean up. They showed no care or consideration of my property. They flushed out their hoses and tools on my lawn, into my landscaping into my flower beds, into my graveled parking. into the street and wherever they felt like dumping it. They went away without cleaning up any of this mess and left it all up to me. I had to break up the hardened concrete on my grass with a fork and attempt to rake it out. The grass is now dead in many areas where this concrete had been dumped. They treated my property as if it were a construction sight. There are large globs of concrete dropped on my exposed aggregate side walks that never were washed off and are now permanent. I set up forms outside as a place to use up any extra concrete. In the process of pumping the extra the concrete overflowed and made a huge mess that they made little attempt to clean up. After they left, I attempted to hose down and dilute this unwanted concrete that was now mostly hard. A few days later I broke most of it up, dug it up and disposed of it. Fosmo Concrete takes no pride in their workmanship, is sloppy, inconsiderate, uncaring, and a very poor example of the Concrete Industry. He went ahead with this job with total disregard of everything I had planned and said to him and his crew. I contacted Mr. Fosmo by email stating my anger and outlining what I have said above. After a month I have not heard anything from him. Not even an "I'm sorry" Also, Barry Fosmo is the owner of Fosmo Enterprises and other business under the Fosmo name.
Description of Work: Firstly, I joined Angies list for the singular purpose of writing this review. I needed to concrete over the dirt crawl space in my basement. This required a concrete pump to get the material from the street to the basement. Approx. 125 ft. I found Fosmo Concrete on the internet advertising that he owned and operated his personal pump. I contacted him presuming that he should have the experience and expertise to do this job. He came and saw the project sight and my wife and I explained the reason, our expectations and concerns. He noted that to seal off this area only needed 2" thickness of concrete. Additional excavation of the dirt was required to allow for two retaining walls and lowering the elevation to aloe for the addition of the concrete. When I received his bid, I found his excavation price was more than I wanted to pay. I elected to do this excavation myself. When I was finished, they brought and left forms. stakes and braces to install at a later date. At that time, Mr Fosmo got into the crawl space to look over the area and commented that they would use 2" spacers to hold up the wall cement forms to allow for the 2" thick lower level. They returned a few weeks later to do the job.

Barry came and was removed this odd patch of concrete, cleaned up and hauled away the old stuff all in about an hour. We were thrilled
Description of Work: We had a small area of concrete next to our front door, that didn't match. Looked like it had been "added" as an after thought and just looked dumb. We found Fosmo Concrete on Angie's List and Barry, the owner was able to give us a quote right away

They phoned and showed up on time. They came and gave an estimate. They showed up to do work and did work. Their work looks good and I'm happy. I would use them in the future.
Description of Work: I used Fosmo Concrete probably in October or November. They put a slab in the garage and a side walker on the outside of the garage.
