We've been very happy with them, I would recommend them. They do our pest control and do a better job then our last company. The workers are very good, it's usually the same guy each time. You get familiar with him and he gets familiar with what our preferences are. Everything looks much better than it did with our other company. We had one minor problem where it looked like the fertilizer wasn't even, the lawn looked a little striped. We called them up and they were here the very next day to refertilize. We were happy with that. There was another issue where they were putting the iron down and the iron left orange rust stains on the concrete, we called them and let them know. They were out the next day with a chemical to scrub it all off. They are very responsive.
Description of Work: We've used Washington Tree Service Inc for the last 3 years. They are here every couple of weeks.

We have been using Washington Tree Service for years -- we inherited them when they bought Senske. For the first several years, everything was great. Over the past 2-3 years, I've noticed a change. They no longer call prior to their visit. The spraying is either very frugal or not very effective. Several years ago, when I was more happy with them, they notified me that my Kwanzan (?) cherry tree has shotgun disease. :-( They said thatwhen kept under control, it will not kill the tree. However, an early spring spray was extremely important while the tree is still dormant. The next spring, they sprayed the tree and kept it under control. However, these past few years, the damage looks worse. While they come in spring to spray, I now suspect they have not been spraying the tree for shotgun disease as we discussed 3-4 years ago. I have other concerns as well. Last summer, I cut back my rhodies by one-half to reshape them. As the leaves grew back, the were beautiful and lush. This spring however, even with the regular spray service, the new leaves are full of root weevil damage! It looks as if they haven't ever been treated. I'm really disappointed. Also, both last spring and this spring, the spray they used on my pyracantha burned much of the new leaves so the bushes look brown all around the exterior. Last year's spray also damaged my lilac and hydrangeas. This spring when I called them to complain and ask for a new service man, I never heard back. Then about 3 weeks later, someone shows up at the house, completely unannounced, and fortunately my husband was there. My husband showed him the rhodies and pyracantha, and the Wash Tree Service man said the pyracantha has blight, but did not say/do anything about the rhodies. The next week, I took the pyracantha to a master gardener clinic, and they had a tenured professional there who said the damage was clearly an application issue, and not something within the leaf. While I'm not sure who to believe, I am really disappointed with the decreased quality and service. I have been shopping around for another company to use, but am not finding a lot of helpful info on just the trees/shrubs programs -- most all include the lawn.
Description of Work: We subscribe to their annual tree and shrub spraying program.

In the last year/year and a half, they took over another company, Eastside Spray. I have been very happy with them prior to the take over and even now. I have no complaints at all. They are on top of all of our needs. Overall, I've been pleased with them. I like the follow-up they provide and reliability.
Description of Work: They normally do the feeding of trees and bushes. I have a yearly contract, coming out about 5 times a year.

They arrived promptly and accomplished the work quickly. They cleaned up the area completely when they were finished. (When they were hired, they were located in Edmonds, WA, so I cannot verify if they are now the same owners.) The date is approximate, as this was a few years ago.

All went fine. They came promptly to look at trees, suggest solution and give a bid. They originally looked at the trees in the fall, but said the best time to spray was spring. we called in the spring, came promptly in June then again in July, and charged us exactly as quoted. they were very careful to only spray the trees and nothing else. very friendly and courteous as well.
Description of Work: Wash Tree Service came to our house 2 times to spray trees that had been damaged by woodpeckers. they sprayed the trees with a non-toxic grape juice product which the birds apparently don't like so they stay away long enough for the trees to recover.

I have used them for many years. My lawn, shrubs and trees has been very health. The one thing I have not been thrilled about is their flower bed weed treatment - perhaps my weeds just don't want to behave.
Description of Work: I prescribe to their routine lawn treatment service that provides fertilizer, moss and weed control. I also have them treat my flower beds and trees. It costs around $50.00 per treatment (the types of treatments vary in price)

Injection always goes well. They used different stuff this year, requiring earlier injection. Didn't notice any odor, but the old stuff kind of stunk for a few days. Re dogwood spray: first spray is supposed to go on just as buds are breaking open. I found that calling gets quicker service rather than waiting for them to figure it out. Weather plays a big role.
Description of Work: Injected soil around base of maple, with intent to control aphids in tree, thereby preventing the honeydew from drippping all over my deck. This has worked well for several years now. They will be back later to spray Pacific Dogwood with a fumgicide mixture to control the anthracnose which is killing most native dogwoods. Seens to work - have been doing it for many years and dogwood looks pretty good.

Tyler and his crew of two did a great job of pruning, cleared debris quickly as limbs and branches fell, minimized the damage to shrub and flower beds, and cleaned up completely at the end. The job took approx. 2-1/2 hours. We're very satisfied, and not only have a more airy, well shaped tree, but look forward to more sunshine in the late afternoon and a major reduction in the amount of nuisance "blowdown" -- dead small branches and twigs that frequently fell onto our lawn and nearly gave us backaches picking up those darned things almost every day. Great job, guys.
Description of Work: Major removal of dead limbs and branches, and general pruning/shaping/cleanup, of a very large Siberian Elm tree in our front yard. Also some pruning of dead branches from a flowering plum tree near our driveway.

Pacific Dogwood trees suffer from anthracnose in this area. If left alone, it will kill the tree. Washington Tree Service has sprayed my tree for several years (10? 12?) and it seems to hold the disease at bay. The tree is beautiful right now. Almost switched companies about five years ago when the sprayer at the time retired. The replacement didn't seem to agree that the tree needed to be soaked all over, but after some "discussions," he seems to do it my way a little better.

It has gone well overall. There have been no problems and when I call to ask questions the folks are quick to respond. I find the staff knowledgable, friendly and personable. It appears to be run like a family business. Again, I like the company and the service they provide.
Description of Work: Washington Tree Service provides tree and lawn care to my residence. I use an annual program and have been with Washington tree service for several years. I plan on continuing to hire the company on an annual basis. My wife and I still do the trimming and lawn mowing but we no longer worry about the insects and diseases. When service is provided and a detailed note is left on my front door explaining activities performed and any items we need to deal with. I recommend the company and the service,

They are very good. They park in the front and pull the hose around to the very back of the yard. They manage to spray the tree until it is dripping without soaking the whole yard. This is our second season. We missed the first spray last year because we moved here in the spring and I didn't get it set up in time, so we did have some worms but it wasn't their fault. I called this year to make sure we were on the schedule and they said yes and they told me when the first spray is usually done. They are always very polite.

We did not use Washington Tree Service to remove the trees.
Description of Work: Washington Tree Service was 1 of 4 contractors who gave us a bid to remove five 65' hemlock trees. They were very professional and actually came to our home twice...the first time for an initial bid and the second time to explain their process. Their bid was very competitive, but they stated they did not use plywood to protect the surrounding areas. They also did not rope down the "rounds," but used the drop method. Because there is a very restricted area for removal, we felt the rope down method would leave less room for error or damage.
