The person who arrived at my residence was very conscience of keeping my house clean. It appears he did a good job. He was on time and called ahead to let me know he was en route.

Impossible to reach and schedule. This vendor is so overbooked and busy that he didn't return calls promptly and could only schedule several weeks into the future. I tried to reschedule with him and never got a return phone call. It's one thing to be highly rated on Angie's List, but when it makes you so busy that you can't provide basic customer service, then something on the rating has to suffer.

We had just bought a new house. One of the items that needed to be repaired was the chimney which was in very bad shape. The mortar joints had clearly weathered almost completely away and several bricks had broken lose and fallen off the roof. I contacted Aaron to come out for an estimate. When he arrived he was very courteous and informative. We had received several other bids which were substantially higher, so we decided to go with Aaron. He worked very quickly, I was surprised by his speed. I worked from home that day in order to let him in the house to perform the interior chimney cleaning and was not bothered by the work one bit. The quality of his work is fantastic and we now have one of the best looking chimneys on the block.

Nothing happened, so for me, who would like to begin using my fireplace....not so good!

Our experience was very positive. The employees were very professional, well-informed, and efficient. There was no dust or mess of any kind inside our home resulting from the service.

I felt that the person who came was excellent. I wanted to go ahead with the estimate he gave, but my wife and I had to choose between whom each of us selected and we ended up with another contractor. He was excellent.

To preface the review, my wife and I purchased a 50's era house in May. We are expecting our second child and I thought it prudent to sweep our chimney flues along with the first service of our oil burning furnace. The furnace service agent noticed a slight back draft and thought it might be caused by build up in the furnace flue. I decided to have a liner installed. I asked Aarron from pristine sweeps if he would be able to install a liner. Unfortunately for us early fall is the busy time for chimney sweeps. I really wanted this work complete before bringing our new baby home. After I explained our situation to Aaron he agreed to come out on Sunday and get the job done. Aaron arrived Sunday morning to begin the job, and what a job it turned out to be. To start Aaron thoroughly protected the living areas close to the furnace room by taping tarps to the floor and covering furniture. Next he removed approximately 6 bricks from the interior wall to access the older flue. Once access was gained he removed 3, 15 gallon shop vacuums full of the nastiest black soot that I have seen. This when it was discovered that the installation of the furnace was an after thought. There was bend after bend before the flue made the vertical to the chimney cap. Years and Years of crud had be accumulating in these impossible to ?sweep? crevices. If not a fire hazard, then definitely it was a carbon monoxide hazard. Aaron spent hours on our roof in a torrential down pour snaking the the line down the twists and turns of a poorly designed flue. Along with the liner he installed an access port to get to those impossible to reach places. Now we have have a serviceable furnace flue that should allow for easy cleaning and good combustion. Because of the deficiencies of the design of the flue the job took longer than Aaron estimated. My final bill did not reflect this though, it was exactly what he estimated. Aaron really went the extra mile in helping my family out. I definitely recommend pristine sweeps.

Aaron was able to clear all of the debris. I would use him again.

I was very impressed with the young man that cleaned the wood stove and exhaust pipe. He woreked at a good pace and maintained a clean work area. HIs personality was pleasing and considerate. I will call him again when the need occurs.

The guy that came out was very professional and thorough. We felt very confident in his recommendations.

I called animal control and they said they only deal with domestic. They advised me to call a chimney sweep. He was very professional and answered the phone right away. He said that he could be out the next day and gave me a half hour timeframe. He said that he would be here between 2:30-3 pm. I thought that was amazing. He called right at 3 pm and said that he was on his way and would be ten minutes late. He arrived and said that he had experience doing this so it wasn't the first time he'd had to get a bird out of a chimney. Ours was a little bit more complicated because our house was built in the 1920's. The flooring was b-shaped and there was no way the bird was going to get itself out. Even if the damper had been open, it would not have been able to fly out. He was very creative and he fashioned sort of a lift out of a piece of cardboard that I had. He pulled it up into four corners and lowered it and the bird got on and he was able to pull it out alive. He was very conscious about animal life and had said that he would not kill the bird and would make sure that it was alive. I had other companies who said they would have to kill the bird. His fees were very reasonable. He did tell me that I needed a cap on my chimney so it didn't occur again. He was able to go out and put on a temporary one. He is getting a custom one made for our chimney. He was a young man and he had good experience. He provided all the documentation and he is taking a national exam in August. He said he had to fire someone recently and he said that he requires references now when he hires someone. He was only 23 years old. He is not someone that would gauche you. We wanted to have our chimney replaced or repointed so we could use it. He looked around and said that we didn't need it replaced unlike what other companies had told us. He did tell us we needed a liner. He is going to work up a bid for that. I would recommend him. The invoice consists of removing the bird and the custom cap. He was very professional and polite. His price was the cheapest of the three companies that I contacted.

These guys are rock stars. I really felt like they were doing their best to do the highest quality work possible. Aaron is super easy to work with. So far these are the best sub-contractors I've used for my remodel. Nice to see folks that want to get the job done right.

Came out on time, gave estimate for possible bird nest removal and for a chimney cap. Had to return on another day to do the work as the ladder on hand was not tall enough. Returned as agreed, on time. Completed work (chimney cap) and recommended that we clean and seal the concrete top. Did that work same day.

Ian called to say what time he was going to be here and he was right on time. He looked at the places to work and got right on it. I heard vaccuum noises and pretty soon, it was all done, cleanly, quickly, and without a fuss. There was an Angie's List discount on the chimney cleaning so the total was quite a bit less than I had expected, and no "truck fees" or any other sneaky add-ons. I thought this company did an excellent job and I plan to use them again when the places need cleaning again.

It turned out great! The guy was extremely personable. He was clean while doing a messy job. He kept my house very clean. He did the job extremely well as far as I can tell. I liked him a lot, and I plan to do business with him in the future

I have an old chimney that needed some repairs. I had some other companies out to do estimates that wanted to just tuckpoint and patch the repairs needed. When I called Pristine Sweeps they were prompt, cheerful & courteous. They found damage on the flue liners caused by a chimney fire and suggested a rebuild. Which was even cheaper than the other companies said to just patch it up and they even were able to have my insurance company pay for all the repairs!!! When doing the rebuild I thought it would ruin my perfect lawn I work so h****** but they kept the debris on a tarp and completely and tidily disposed of it ALL afterward. I will use this company from now on for all my chimney needs because they seem to go above and beyond the call of duty. I would recommend Pristine Sweeps to anyone not only for their price, friendliness and prompt service but for their overall knowledge of my chimney and a customers needs. Thanks Pristine!
