Description of Work: The resident mountain beaver in our yard was trapped. Bill put in about 20 traps in holes he thought were active, returned a week later and found one animal. To be on the safe side he left the traps and returned again a week later. Not only was there no evidence of more animals but he spent time filling in the holes.

Bill is a Washington State licensed trapper and abides by all regulations. He is very respectful of life and does his best to limit suffering of the animals. He is obviously very knowledgeable about animal behavior and the damage the animals can cause. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain the process of trapping and euthanizing the animals and the State regulations. His billing rates were very clear. He was successful in trapping 5 Mountain Beavers on our property in late winter this year. He also set up traps and caught a mountain beaver last summer (2012). Bill's wife Sharon takes care of the billing and phone calls. The two of them are very friendly, nice people. Animal trapping is completely foreign to me and I was not very comfortable with killing the animals. However, the mountain beavers were undermining structures on our property. I appreciated Bill's and Sharon's attitudes about their work. They don't take killing the animals lightly and they were kind to me about my uneasiness in having the animals trapped.
Description of Work: Bill looked over our property for mountain beaver activity, set up and baited traps (live traps), changed bait when it became old, and responded quickly, to our phone calls when mountain beavers were trapped. He picked up the traps when there had been no activity. He was also very clear in explaining our responsibilities to us. We had to check the traps every 24 hours and cal when animals were trapped.
