+ 1 moreI contacted Ed (owner) via e-mail and provided him the address of my mothers home in Bremerton for gutter cleaning and roof treatment. I live in Bellevue and my mother is elderly. Ed asked me a couple questions about the house and how much moss I thought was on the roof (little clumps, as house gets lots of sun). Ed provided me a bid of $300 + tax. Ed showed up right on time and did a great job. He also made my mom feel comfortable and suggested a couple things we should consider in the future. Impressing my mom is not easy, so Ed must be a super guy. We will be using him again in the future.
Description of Work: Clean out gutters, removed roof moss and moss treatment.

+ -1 moreOverall, although Ed Richards appears to be experienced in roof cleaning, he is not operating his business in a professional manner with protections in place for himself and his customer. Further, I found his communication style to be evasive. In all I determined that I could not risk having Mr. Richards perform roof cleaning services for me.
Description of Work: Ed Richards provided a competitive estimate of $1650 for roof cleaning. However, he does not have a contractor's license, and is not bonded. He said that he is insured and would send me an email with evidence of his insurance, but did not follow through on that promise. After more than a week of trying to contact him by phone, I sent an email asking if he was insured. Rather than answering the question directly, he said, "After having time to think about your roof I don't think that it is something that I am interested in doing . It is more then (sic) a one man job." Be Careful!

+ 0 moreEd was very easy to contact by phone or email. He was prompt, courteous, professional and very careful around my home and landscaping. He will be performing some more work for us on a different job and I would highly recommend Ed Richards.
Description of Work: Ed cleaned the moss off my concrete tile roof by hand, cleaned the gutters, cleaned up any debris that resulted from roof cleaning and left my yard clean and my roof spotless! I was VERY pleased with his work and results. My two-story home is large and has multiple peaks and angles in the roof and dormers. It is a difficult roof I would say and there was lots of moss!
