My husband and our woodstove got into a fight on Sunday night, 11/29/15. The glass on one of the doors of our Lopi wood stove got broken in the process......my husband won that battle. We Have never had this happen before and were not sure where we should even go to have it fixed?? I knew of Sequim Village Glass and have heard good things about them in the past, but we had never been there for anything ourselves. We wanted to support the local guy and I googled the business and discovered they open at 8:00 am on Monday. I went into the shop around 10 on Monday Morning, 11/30/15. I was greeted by (I believe) the owner and his beautiful dog Bella. I told him what had happened, he said he had the glass in stock and could have it done by 3:00 p.m. that day! He gave me a quote of $37.50 after measuring the size of the glass and type of glass needed. I thanked him and left my broken wood stove door in his care. I called him about an hr later and asked if he had removed the broken glass yet, as I needed to come get the fiberglass rope that was around the broken glass and use it as example to take to store to purchase more. He said give me 20 minutes and I will have it removed for you to come get rope. I stopped by about 45 minutes after I made the phone call and NOT only was the glass already replaced, but! He also found some of the fiberglass rope I needed in his shop and had placed it into glass/door for me! He charged me a very fair price of $15 for the rope and my total with tax was just over $54.00. My husband and I were expecting this to be over $100.00 easily. But to our happiness, it was 1/2 as much as we thought and it was done in a total of about 2 hrs!!! I called my husband (who was at work) and he was overjoyed with the price and speed of the work. We were so happy and thankful! the work is beautiful and we were able to get the door mounted back to the woodstove and the woodstove was going again Monday night! thank you so much to Sequim village Glass! Your work, customer skills, prices ect are unbeatable! If we have anything else glass related break, we will be back!!!
Description of Work: Replaced the Glass in one of our Wood stove doors, which we had broken the night before.

We used Sequim Village Glass do to our glass shelves and bathroom mirrors in 2006 for our new home. They did an excellent job. We decided to use them to install screen doors. I cannot recommend them for this. They did a poor job of installation, mis-aligning the latches. One out of the three doors latches properly. I called and asked to have the installer call me about a method of correcting this. Instead the installer went to my home when I was not there and showed my wife how to latch the door by pulling the latch outwards. It's very difficult. Guests cannot figure it out. My wife does not have strong hands and has to use two hands to get the door to latch. If the door doesn?t latch, it rapidly opens and makes a very loud bang. The installer repeatedly opened and closed the door, exclaiming "see, that's how you do it." She said that he was intimidating. He left without properly aligning the latches. I will not ask them back again, this guy does not know how to do quality work. I'll have to do it myself. Sequim Village Glass uses Peninsula Screens just down the street to do the installation. So he?s kind of stuck, since I won?t let the installer back on my property. Get you glass shelves and mirrors from Sequim Village Glass, but not your screen doors.
Description of Work: Installed three screen doors.
