I am a new member and LOVE this membership, great site, GET RID OF THIS BUM!

My report is second hand in part, since I was not there during the time MJW met the Property Manager on the property; together they walked the fence line. MJW reported the fence was not quality built. Property Management noted that MJW did not check the post depth to determine if the post were in the ground the standard 2 feet or a minimum depth of 18inches. The bad news came later that 21 out of 60 of the post holes were barely deep enough to meet basic standards, the ground shook when you gently pushed on the post. Other factors were made know by the orginal contractor's hired help, this did not come to light until after MJW's inspection. I called MJW to explain that I needed to speak with an attorney, to find out if I am obligated to pay draws when the fence is being shoddily constructed; upon learning about this MJW decline working on the fence if I was hiring an attorney, at which time he did not want to get involved, but o\if I needed him on any other jobs please call; his decline was accepted. MJW did report that the fence was NOT quality built but that it was OK and needed a third railing to prevent the boards from bowing. He sumitted a bid to add a third railing and wanted to know what type of fence was ordered of which I reported only quality pointing out the house was custom built with landscaping maintained by a local high quality Landscaping company who maintains cutting, watering and fertilizing the yards. The property manager did the walk with MJW to get a professional inspection of the fence and place a bid to tear down what was not quality built and rebuild any part of the fence that failed inspection. MJW reported it was not a quality built fence. After MJW's inspection, the original contractor's hired help called and reported 21 post were not dug deep enough to hold the post steady thereby creating a liability of safety to the tenants. I mention to MJW, that I talked to an attorney and he did not want to get involved if I hired an attorney, this ended our contacts with him.

All work went well. The weather caused delays but never the workers. They listened to what we wanted and then brought back designs within our budget. They worked well with our desires to change things at the last minute. They talked us through what the changes would mean to the design and the extra cost and time.

A few different options were discussed before deciding on the metal siding for the fence. Matt was extremely easy to work with in exploring options and giving different pricing for all to make an informed decision. Once a plan was in place, Matt dove right in completing the project in the timeline given. His management for large projects and the ability to communicate promptly and professionally showed throughout the project. He also met with the engineer to ensure a complete understanding of the blueprints given. We are very happy with the result and definitely intend on calling him for future projects. Quality is a top priority for Matt and this is what you will get should you hire him for any projects.

Over the past four years, Matt and his crew have performed for me a wide range of landscape-related tasks including lawn thatching and plugging, stump pulling, shrub bed preparation and planting, moss treatment, fertilizing, shrub and tree pruning, shrub bed cleanup, tree removal and debris haul out. Matt's talents, energy and concern with quality are a perfect combination. At no time have the results been less than outstanding. He's very easy to work with and knows when to communicate on matters where options need to be discussed. Give him an outline of what needs to be done, then retire to the deck and enjoy a latte! And reasonable prices to boot! I highly recommend Matt. And don't hesitate to ask him about his skills related to just about anything a home owner encounters. His knowledge is extensive and he gladly shares it.
