During the design phase we found all of the Estes employees very helpful and professional. They talked about building our dream home and set very high expectations. Their mantra was a quality home, on time, and on budget. When construction started it seemed to us that “on time” overrode quality. . They managed the project but they did not do any of the construction themselves. The trade partners were held to a tight schedule but seemed to be trusted to do quality work. We documented an average of 10 problems on each of our weekly quality checks. We were not allowed to talk to the trade partners directly. It took 8 months to finish the house and 1-1/2 years to complete most of the warranty repairs. We still have some items that we are told that we must take care of ourselves. The people were great; the business model let us down.

We are just moving into a new house. We have been impressed with the quality and design of their homes for some time. The purchase process has gone very smoothly and the builder's company has amazed us with their communications and attention to details. This is our 12th home and as newly retirees, we wanted a quality built, low maintenance home - we believe we have found it. Estes addition of 'unseen' extras, such as race ways for future wiring and foundation drainage, have not been present on our previous homes.
