ZAPFFE SILVERSMITH

Grandma's "silver" was mostly plate, but it turns-out some were solid silver! The guys at Zapffe identified the Sterling pieces, then worked some magic! In the "as found" photo, the knife blades were ruined, being stored out in the barn. I am soooooo pleased with the results and can hardly wait for my next dinner party to show-off. These sweet gentlemen are true Craftsmen, hard to find now. Their work is meticulous, and just darned beautiful. Thanks so much, Tom and crew.

A silver tea service that was given to my parents as a wedding gift in 1942 was blackened with tarnish after 30 years of neglect. It is now better than new. My wife's family silver service was repaired and resilvered. I was so impressed with the quality of the work that I returned with several more items for cleaning and refurbishment. If you have family silver stashed away, give it a new life. The man who worked on our silver is a true craftsman. I highly recommend.

I inherited many silver pieces recently that had not been stored properly and were severely tarnished. One piece which is a holder for 13 by 9 pan, could not be polished completely and I thought part of it had bare metal exposed. I took the piece to the shop and told them I wanted it replated. The clerk told me it would take 30 business days. this seemed like a long time but I wasn't in a rush so it was ok. After 10 business days they called me and told me it was ready. They did a fantastic job. the piece looks beautiful. I would use them again

This mirror was handed down from my grandmother, and I assumed it was manufactured in her youth, circa 1918. My first surprise was that the silversmith dated it much older than that, my second surprise was how much it would cost to repair. I was told it would take 2-3 weeks to fix, and it actually took more like 4. Nevertheless, I'm ecstatic that I took this piece to Zapffe. The work is beautiful, and now I know how valuable my heirloom is.

I MET MR. ZAPFFE, HIS WIFE, AND SON, BILL, AS WELL AS KRISTIN. ALL WERE VERY PERSONABLE, HELPFUL, AND EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE IN THEIR FIELD. THEY WERE ALSO ABLE TO HELP ME IN MY QUEST TO OBTAIN A REPLACEMENT FOR AN ITEM LOST IN A FIRE. THE REPAIR PRICE WAS REASONABLE, THE LOCATION OF THE SHOP IS EASY TO REACH, AND SERVICE EXCELLENT.
