They were nice enough to inform me that it seemed to be a plumbing issue rather than a waterproofing/leak issue.

Rating would be an A+ if it was an option. Wu came out and estimated the project. He is knowledgeable as he identified problems and symptoms before I told him about them. He quickly assessed the issues and prioritized the problems and solutions. He produced a proposal quickly, which I deemed to be very fair. The work crew was on time every day. They were polite and I thought they worked very hard. They cleaned up every day. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the evaluation, proposal, and work. I will use Wu Construction again.

It went extremely well. The crew arrived promptly in the morning, they took care to protect our interior floors, and they worked quickly enough to complete the job in 1 day. I must add, the exit pipe had to be run across about 25 feet of lawn, and the deep hole holding the pipe had to pass by an embedded sprinkler system. When the job was done, the sprinkler system pipes were unharmed, and the grass was put back as well as could be expected and this over dirt that must have been carefully replaced because there was no sagging where the digging took place. I took a quick survey of the work with one of the lead people who happily showed me what they'd done. Since they left, I've not been down to see if we still have any pooling water, but I HAVE looked at the pipe outlet, and it amazes me how much water is flowing out. Given all the rain we've had since the installation on Dec. 8, 2015, we're certainly glad we got this work done when we did. We should have done so sooner.

Victor was willing to come out to our house on a Sunday evening to take a look at our basement that had recently flooded in a few areas. He quickly looked at the issues, walked us around the house and made some logical recommendations for fixing the issue. He recommended a solution that would not require his company's service (he said they could do it but it would be more expensive than other places) that would solve 85% of the problem. He also let us know what we would need to do to solve the last 15% but this was really expensive. So he helped us come up with a game plan that's in our budget to fix the majority of the problem and then if we want to go for the full fix we always know we can reach out to him and his company can take care of the more invasive part. Honestly, I feel like he's save us a ton of money and time...and I'm going to be able to recarpet and use my basement again very soon which is great. I have my fingers crossed that his recommendations work, but with 30 years of experience and the confidence he had when making the recommendations, I'm feeling pretty confident. Thanks, Victor!

With all the rain that we've had in the last week I can expect prices to go up, but this experience was suprising. Contacted to get an estimate and got a very prompt response. V. Wu was able to come out and visit me on a weekend. We are looking to get approximately 20 feet of drainage pipe added to the footing of our foundation. Victor took one look at it and immediately quoted me 12k, without even looking at the other aspects of the job. He admitted he was very busy but still 12k for the job seemed extreme.. He did proceed to look at the rest of the work when I asked him to and was honest with me about the extent of effort required and how I could greatly reduce cost. I think I'll deal with my water issues on my own for now and wait till things dry up when prices become more reasonable.

Within 5 minutes of talking to Victor and having him look at our problem it was obvious to me that he's extremely knowledgeable in finding issues and coming up with the right solution. He quickly gave me a quote and described the scope of work clearly. A few days later, the team showed up. His guys were very professional and efficient. My wife and I were stressed about the water coming through into the basement from bad drain downspouts, and we are thankful for the great quality of work Victor's team did.

They were responsive, arrived on time, clearly laid out the plan, executed and final cost was within pre-approved quote.

They were quick to respond, quote, and do the work. The price was very reasonable and the work great. They were very careful in digging up where they needed and cleaning up the yard after their work.

We bought an older house ( 1955 ) that had been remodelled in 2013. The house had some previous settling issues, but it seems like the guys who remodeled bolstered the foundation and just built along the settling at a slight grade(!!). Anyway, we were concerned about any further settling that could happen and called around for quotes and inspections. Of the three people we used, Wu was the most reasonable, affordable and easy to talk to. Greg, the estimator, was honest and did not try to scare us into getting more expensive repairs that the other two contractors recommended. They laid down a slab under our footing to ensure no more settling occurs and warranted it for 20 years ( transferable). They also routed a couple of our downspouts away from the house to an external drywell that they built, to make sure no more water stagnation happened near the foundation. Overall, the job was done very well barring some minor issues with cleanup which I didn't mind doing at all. We are very glad we went with Wu Construction and will go with them again if need be.

Arrived on time and had me bring him up to speed on the history of the house and what the problem was. We had another estimate from someone else that was about $30,000 to fix the problem. However, Wu said that the proposed solution was amazing overkill and suggested we just get the drainage system scoped out and then go from there. At most they recommended a french drain pump thing in the basement. We scoped the drainage system (using someone else) and they found a blocked pipe which they unblocked and said we likely didn't need to do anything else. So Wu had the opportunity to sell us a bill of goods that was just a bit under the 30k and they didn't. They said we probably didn't need to do much of anything as the problem hadn't recurred despite some record rainfall over the winter. Very pleased with their honesty and integrity. We didn't end up having to spend anything other than the cost of scoping out the drainage system.

The worker did everything in a timely and professional manner and the price was the best I could find in the area.

This was for a house I bought for a rental property. The cost was the lowest bid and they were prompt and worked hard. I was particularly impressed that the men spread tarps on the ground and placed the dug up dirt on it so none was on the surrounding grass when they were done. I had it done last summer (2014) and had no problems with water accumulation through the following winter; just as he said I wouldn't. I was impressed with Mr. Wu's straightforward manner and the excellent work his men did.

We were very nervous because our basement flooded after we agreed to sell our house. We had to fully disclose the issue but Mr. Wu fixed it right away and made it a non-issue. He even checked on the new homeowner to assure the problem was fixed, which was delightful. I am very pleased with his work and the price was very good considering the circumstances.

As Seller they performed on time and on budget. The Buyer, and engineer, was totally satisfied with the work that was done. Would highly recommend.

The engagement was positive, there were a few hiccups along the way, but the work seems to have been solidly performed. A structural engineer had recommended additional supports be installed in our crawlspace and to have a foundation crack sealed and referred us to Wu for the work. The workers came to do the work but did not seem to have the engineer's plans, so I explained it to them and gave them a copy of the writeup. They put some supports in the crawlspace and were about to call it a day, but I wanted to confirm for myself, so I put my work clothes on and went down there to see it firsthand. It turned out they had put the supports in the wrong place. They didn't make a fuss and proceeded to install more supports in the correct location. After that, the work seems to have been done very well. They also informed that there was an additional smaller crack in our foundation that they sealed in addition to the first one. After receiving the invoice, I asked to have an Angie's List coupon honored and was told the invoice would be updated accordingly. However, no further communication was forthcoming until I started receiving voice mails requesting payment of the old amount. We eventually connected, the invoice was finally updated to reflect the coupon.

The process went great. They were very responsive; promptly came to our home to analyze the water problem and propose a solution. They quickly came back with an estimate which they adhered to and the team performed the work in 1 day. All meetings were punctual and professional. The team was tidy and respectful not to disturb other areas of our home while they worked on the drain. The system has been working reliably for ~6 months now. Money well spent.

It went great! the estimate went well, the gentleman was very helpful and told us exactly what to expect. When the work was being done, it was done quickly, professionally, and expertly. Everything was done exactly as described to us and very quickly. I could not have been happier with the crew, or the work they did.

Jaspe (?) and his crew arrived right on time and immediately began the job. They hand dug the trench to proper depth (12" to 18"). This resulted in filling the trench with lots of water. They installed the rock and proper sized drain pipe with dirt straining fabric. They, also, hooked up the shop's rain down spouts to the drain pipe. They were very careful when working in the lawn (swamp) area. When job was completed (one day) they cleaned the whole area, hauled away the dug up dirt/gravel and wash off the concrete pad. The area looks better now than it did before they started. I highly recommend Wu Construction for any drainage problems. This is the 2nd time they have done work for us. Job well done.

Came out for an estimate on our foundation in the crawlspace for a new house purchase. The property inspector had concerns related to the concrete foundation of the floors that apparently had some erosion beneath the concrete. Overall , the inspector thought a lot of work needed to be done (although he did say a lot of good work had already been done). 33 We had their Sr estimator came out and after a 40 minute crawlspace inspection, he advised that NOTHING needed to be done. He thought that the crawlspace was in great shape and didn't have any concerns about what the inspector mentioned. He offered to come back out in 5 years or so to see how things look, but said we had bought a 'great little house'. That was a surprise, but really awesome that they aren't going to do work that isn't actually needed.

Punctual, personable and responded quickly to my request for an appointment and submission of the bid. The bid was competitive but the scope of work changed and I had to find a different contractor.

Everything went well for the most part. Scheduling was easy, and they did good work. However, they were a bit slow to complete some follow up work at the end of the project.

Bid before even seeing the property, never contacted me after seeing the property.

Back on 3/8/15 left message to get an estimate. Did not get a response. Called again on 3/14 and made appt for Sunday. Arrived promptly about 10:30 am and talked to victor wu. this morning for estimate of drainage and water pooling near foundation. Waiting for estimate.
