Washingtons Best Decks and Siding

Modernized Exteriors LLC called me and setup an appointment to look at what I needed done. I needed some repairs performed on my front porch, but the provider caters to large deck remodel and installation. The provider came me two quotes, one for trex deck material and the second quote was for cement. Either quote was out of our price range. The providers were very courteous and was willing to work with me, but we cannot afford the expense right now.

First things first when we scheduled the install Cameron had suggested that we have the windows installed before the siding which made a lot of sense. Windows installed in one day and two days later the siding team started tearing off all of our existing siding and wrapping the house with a weather barrier. We did find a couple areas on of the house that had some rot although they replaced it at no cost to me! once the weather barrier was on the team started putting our home back together. the siding took about 5 days to get done as it was a large project although the crews were out here working hard the whole time! When the job was complete the project manager walked us around the home and made sure that we were happy with every corner. We really appreciated the attention to detail that this company gave us and we are glad we spent a couple extra dollars to get the job done right!

Replaced 10 Large windows in our home. They had Partnered with the Factory that makes the windows so they were factory installed which we had never heard before and thought was very cool. The install manager called me up to schedule a time to measure and took pictures and a checklist of everything they would need for the install day. The windows were installed in 4 weeks and we love the way we can open our windows from the top down.

Provider installed 16 white vinyl windows in my brier home. Everything went as planned. The windows were installed 4 weeks after day of signing the contract and the windows were installed in 2 days. Everything was left clean and windows really made a large difference in our homes comfort and efficiency.

We were sold on the company before they came out because we've seen 2 different jobs they've done for our friends. Things went as expected and we are glad that its all over and done right. The warranty they offer with factory install is unbeatable.

We purchased and installed 4 windows on the front of the house with this company. The price was a little higher than expected although after doing our research we decided that we would not willing to give up quality for a lower price. Modernized Exteriors bid came in the middle of our three bids. I was definitely happy with the install as it was installed by factory trained employees which is mainly what swayed our decision to go with this company.

Roof and siding was completed by Modernized Exteriors Last February. Probably should have written my review a little sooner, sorry. The process from start to finish was excellent. First Cameron came out in his truck with multiple different samples in it which was nice because we actually decided to do the roof at the same time. We were positive that we would do the Siding with Modernized Exteriors but since Cameron had his roofing samples with him and we were going to have it replaced anyways in the next couple of years we would get it done now. Cameron brought up a great point when he said that prices are only going to get higher. Anyhow, We were very pleased with everyone from the project manager to the installers. I give them five stars!

Replaced 30 squares of James Hardie siding and three windows. The windows went on before the siding work was started to ensure we could side right up to the new windows and seal everything in place. The warranty and the looks of the new siding is what sold us on James Hardie. The windows were Alside double pane windows and they are excellent. exceeded our expectations.

Modernized Exteriors was our third and final window bid (thank god) lol. Modernized Exteriors came in with there premium frame windows right in the middle of our three bids. They suggested that we use the premium frame alside window and have it installed by their factory trained installers. Because of this we got a foolproof product and installation warranty that will last a lifetime on every part of the window. The windows were installed and they look amazing although what is really nice is that I will never have to worry about a window breaking or ever having to pay for windows again! We really appreciate the time and care that the boys took to make sure that we were happy when it was all said and done. We are happy to leave there work sign in our front yard for them to tell our neighbors the great job that they did!. I think when it was all said and done we had 30 windows and 2 doors.

2 years ago we got a new kitchen so this year it was time that we put some money back into the exterior of our home. We hadn't touched anything in 20 years so you can imagine just about everything either was ready to be replaced or had a couple years left in it.... Our plan was to use one company for everything that we got done to save on time and money. Modernized Exteriors was the perfect choice since they specialize in only exteriors of the home. When Cameron came out for our initial consultation he inspected our roof and took pictures of where our problem areas where. The whole process from roofing to windows was very easy to choose from seeing as they only install lifetime products anyways, so many of the things they suggested we had already found out about through our research. We spent a little over $50,000 for everything but it was well worth it. our home is in great shape and we wont have to worry about any maintenance for when we retire.

The old roof was tired and was ready to go. I had them out to inspect and they found that the whole roof was getting pretty bad. I decided on a shingle and was given a few component options. The final project was decided on and the contract was signed the same day. It took three weeks before the work began and the work was done in under a week. They did a good job cleaning up and the new roof is done professionally.

our family have lived in our home for about 7 years now and we had a second level deck that was rotting away. We have wanted to get it done for a couple years now so we figured it was time to get it done. What we definitely did not want was it to rot out again so Cameron had suggested taking a look at some different Trex products. He had a nice display that really gave us some great options. He had talked about the whole permitting process and how every deck they do gets done the right way. We decided to have them go through with all the permit work as if we would have done it I am sure we would have had a tough time. We chose the steel beams as well with the deck giving us a Lifetime deck. At the end Cameron had suggested to add some deck lighting to our project which we had really never even considered. He showed us the pictures of different lighting ideas and I knew putting lights in the stairs was a no brainer. At the end of the project (about 8 days after start) the deck was done and we were surprised and excited to spend this summer on our new deck!

Modernized Exteriors was the company that we chose for our smaller window Project. We had just moved into our home a year prior and all the windows but 4 of them were done. We knew that we didn't want the most expensive window out there but we also knew we didn't want cheap home depot windows either. Modernized Exteriors recommend we got with their number one window which was a Premium frame alside window. There warranty and guarantee gave us a double lifetime warranty ( which means if we decide to sell the home in a couple years we can even transfer the full lifetime warranty to the next homeowner. Which I thought was pretty neat) Even if the glass ever fails it is covered under warranty so we not only liked the excellent look of the Alside window we had peace in knowing that if anything went wrong we were covered. The company had excellent communication and we even were able to get the windows installed a week earlier than we had thought. There Quality and Customer service was excellent. Install all done in one day. Project and experience was a great one.

They were young men that wanted to work but I didn't use them. the price for doing just the attic was higher than some pro companies, so decided to not have them do it. They're casual, but am not sure of the experience they have. The quote was on a plan piece of paper, which isn't bad, but it didn't tell me what all they would and wouldn't do.

We replaced 28 windows and 2 sliding glass doors with Modernized Exteriors. We enjoyed how we were able to sit down and choose between a couple of different options to choose from as opposed to one company just trying to force one type of window down your throat. These guys were clean professional and on time from the second we spoke on the phone. When I called Cameron because I had a quick questions on the way a window should operate he answered the phone right away and we solved the problem right there! it was just a real pleasure to have them do our windows, and I think even my neighbors are going to do their windows now with them too ;)

Modernized Exteriors just finished installing our new roof. We had three choices as far as product was concerned. I just had to decide on the type of roof I wanted. the options were 30 Yr. Gaf Roof. 50 Yr GAF Grand Sequoia roof, and a metal roof. I chose the 50 year even though it was more expensive because I really enjoyed the look that it gave my home. After I picked the product and we did the walk around I was very convinced that Cameron and Modernized Exteriors would do my roof and do it right.

3 things I wanted to check off my to do list before the spring time was the outside of our home. I really felt it was time to give our home a large facelift. We had Modernized Exteriors come out and give us a estimate on the entire project. We felt since we had three things to do it was very important to get all three projects done by one company. After about 90 minutes Christian came to the pricing and it was a little higher than we expected but it was definitely in the ball park. We felt pretty good about how the appointment went and got into their schedule since they were booked out at least a month and we really were excited to get it done. The work was done and everything looks fantastic!!!!!

Cameron came out at first and estimated our roof. My wife and I were both present for the appointment and Cameron did a excellent job of showing us a couple different options in different price ranges. It was nice to see all the pictures on his ipad so we could imagine how our roof would look. He pushed us towards the 50 year roof over the 30 year roof because of house much thicker it was and it would give the house a nice shake look, but it would have the durability of a lifetime asphalt shingle. We are so glad we went with that decision. Even though it was much more expensive than the 30 year ;( Although we got exactly what we paid for and we are very happy with the way everything happened. It is extremely nice knowing now that we will never have to replace the roof again because of the excellent warranty we got with our plan.

I misunderstood the nature of the deal. Estimate given was beyond my budget. Also, was surprised to make an appt with supplier but have someone else show up for the appt. Not a great way to build trust. I'd like a complete refund to my Amex Card.

While the work was done as promised, I was extremely disappointed in the total mess left behind. I expected some dust, etc but there was an extensive trail of clumps of insulation from the upstairs attic all the way out to our front sidewalk of our house. It looked like there was a hole in their garbage bag or something. It took over an hour of vacuuming to clean up all the debris. Considering the cost of the work, some cleanup/care should be part of this service.

I had done my research ahead of time and knew I wanted a company that could offer a GAF Golden pledge warranty. I talked to these guys at the home show and they told me they were able to offer it. The golden pledge warranty is the top of the heap for roofing warranties. The estimate provided was fair and so we scheduled the work. All phases of the work were done correctly and all roofing components used were GAF brand. Not the cheapest roofing job but at least I only have to do it once. They did great work on the roof. Also had them replace three windows that had lost the seal.

Another company was only $18,000 for the same job. Their quote was an insult it was twice as high for using the exact same product covering the same area, These guys are rip offs.

Got 2 other estimates and these guys were right in the middle. My wife an I liked them well enough and signed up. A month later the windows were installed and we haven't had any issues. Good as can be.

The whole process went as explained and expected. 3 1/2 weeks from the day of signing the contracts the job was started. As Christian recommended the windows went in first followed by the Hardie siding and trim. They broke out there costs for me while they were out there and it was about $12.00 per square foot after installation and materials cost. At first I thought the price sounded a bit on the high side although after the job was done I understood better where the additional costs come from especially since the materials are extremely expensive. I went with the pre colored siding since I am not a huge fan of painting. Needless to say I was slightly nervous as this is a very expensive project but they promised to take care of me. after it is all said and done we couldn't be more happy.

When I finally had chosen my contractor of choice I chose Modernized Exteriors for a couple reasons. Cameron sat down with me and took the time to talk about the features and benefits with me to make sure I was making the right decision. The bottom line of the conversation was the answer was easy, I would go with the hardy siding. after looking at the difference in price it was only a thousand dollars more to get the color I wanted wanted from the factory as opposed to having someone come paint it. Now I know siding is expensive and my house is average size. I think they measured just under 3,000 sq feet of siding space and I paid 35,000 plus tax so I am guessing I got a fair deal for the price I paid. (they told me when they came out they are not the cheapest company out there but they do excellent work the right way the first time). Now when everything went on with the install I was in shock and my wife was in tears of joy. The house looked amazing and we couldn't wait to have family over to see the "makeover" . I really appreciate all the communication that was had every step of the way and I will look forward to them doing my windows in the future.
