David vacuumed and brushed cleaned all the heat ducts including dryer vent, furnace filters and cold air return. He showed me how to replace furnace filters which needs to be done in the near future. He was very thorough, efficient, and polite.

David was great! He called with reminders, showed up as promised, and gave a thorough explanation of what our ducts looked like. We hadn't had them cleaned since we bought the house, plus it looked like the previous owners hadn't done routine servicing either. David was clear what was needed, but no upselling pressure at all.

David came out to see why my intake filter got so dirty so quickly after I had changed it. He had been here about 9 months ago to clean out my dryer vent. I was so impressed with his first visit I did not hesitate to call NW Duct Cleaners again. David called the day before my appointment to confirm and to see if I wanted to move the appointment up a couple of hours. He arrived when he said he would and checked out the vents. He determined that there was not much dust in the system and that the furnace was very clean. He suggested that I have an additional filter installed near the furnace as a future precaution to make sure the furnace is protected. He said that I should ask the original furnace installation company to install the filter. David said that this would be the most economical way for me to address my concerns. He then installed vent filters on all the downstairs registers. He was very professional and helpful. WA Duct Cleaners will always be my "go to" furnace maintenance company.

After performing the above, the rep noted need for exhaust pipe cleaning and deep furnace cleaning, also something with the "connection box" so the total charge was much higher than expected. Other than probably the deep furnace cleaning, I'm not sure we really needed the other work done.

David was wonderful, though he couldn't do the air duct cleaning as they were ceiling ducts and didn't have the right equipment, he performed the dryer duct cleaning and checked the furnace blower. I was happy with what was done.

The vents were dirty so they suggested a deep clean which was an additional $200 and covered up to 10 vents. The vents were cleaned very well but there was just a mess left around the house near 3 vents and on our carpet from the cleaning solution mixed with dirt, which I had to clean off the walls and I will have to now hire a carpet cleaner to get it out to get 3 spots out.

Pretty well. The company emailed me asking for a phone number which I replied to, but then was not contacted. So I sent another email explaining that it was my second attempt which got a response. The technician was very nice. My furnace was really clogged up, so, that was a separate cost. My vent cleaning went from $65 to over $600 to fix the problem with the furnace.

The technician was prompt and friendly, but I wouldn't have paid $65 for a social call. I didn't get duct cleaning (I didn't actually have ducts, I had forced air vents - my fault for not knowing the difference when I purchased the deal) and I didn't get the dryer vent cleaning (he didn't bring a ladder or ask me what floor the dryer was on before he arrived).
Description of Work: I just purchased a new townhome as a first time home buyer. I saw this deal for duct cleaning on Angie's List and purchased it. I had been told during pre-inspection that I had forced air heating, an internet search told me I had ducts and they should be cleaned, so I thought this was a smart move. I ended up disappointed, but I take most of the responsibility. It turns out I don't have air ducts; I just have little electric heaters in my wall, so I had no need for air duct cleaning. However, the offer was also for dryer vent cleaning, and I do have a dryer. The dryer is on the top floor of my three story townhome, in the master bedroom. When the technician arrived, he immediately said there was nothing he could do about examining or cleaning my dryer vent, as the stacked washer/dryer combo was too heavy to move and the vent was too high up to access from the outside (he did not bring a ladder). Granted, I should have known about not having air ducts, but I did expect I would at least get a dryer vent cleaning for the $65 I paid. I didn't get any of that. While the company was very prompt in scheduling and showed up on time, I think much of the confusion and misunderstanding could have been avoided if they'd asked me two or three simple questions while they were scheduling my appointment - things like: "What kind of heating system do you have?" "What floor is the dryer on?" "Is there easy access to the back side of the dryer without moving it?" While the deal itself was not a bad offer, I will think very carefully before purchasing future deals and make sure I understand what is on offer and that I ask the right questions to ensure that I actually receive the services I purchased.

David called ahead of time and scheduled the service. He was on time and inspected the ducts. He explained the process and let us know that the service did not cover cleaning the intake ducts. But he still cleaned whatever was accessible. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service and would recommend WA duct cleaning. Felt happy with all the dirt that we got rid off!

It went well. The service tech was friendly and professional. To clean the furnace was extra which is where you spend EXTRA money. I spent 65 on groupon for duct and dryer vent cleaning, but spent an additional 219 to clean the furnace. It was an unexpected cost but it was needed.
