From the first call to the finishing touches, everything went perfectly. I don't believe I have ever felt that way about any other contractor experience. I have owned multiple homes and have worked with dozens of contractors. Lloyd was responsive, provided a prompt reasonable estimate, and came out with his crew and did exactly what he said he would. I even had a last minute add-on job that he was perfectly willing to do. The work was performed swiftly and with precision. These guys are professionals and know what they are doing. When they left, the only sign that they were in my home for the better part of a day was silent, properly functioning doors that are sealed from the elements.

Could not find anyone who was available sooner that 2-3 weeks. Called these guys and the owner answered. He said that he was booked but could get one of the guys that was in the area to swing by the same day, after he is done with his last job. In contrast to everyone else who is usually late on the job, they came earlier than expected, had everything they needed to fix the door, completely fixed the door jam, fixed the trip, caulked and painted the jam and the trip, and cleaned the area. This is a family business and they obviously take pride in what they do because they did an absolutely great job. I actually arrange for them to do more work for me and scheduled it right there and then.

sent an initial email for info so they could quote installing front doors for me. i sent the details to them they never got back to me emailed again, til i figured i was wasting my time

The minute I opened the front door to let the workers in they knew exactly what my problems were and how to fix everything. Hinges were reinforced, the top and bottom latches on the stationary door were re-aligned so that the latches now went firmly into place. The entire job took less than an hour and I can now shut my door with the push of one finger and the lock slides easily into place. They took great care to protect the oriental carpet in our entry way and cleaned up when the job was completed. Definitely worth the money and I will not hesitate to call them again if I ever have another door problem.

He squeezed us in between jobs, so he was able to get to us quickly. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He completed the job quickly and for a good rate. It was a perfect experience.

Excellent experience. Extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. Went the extra mile and repaired a door (simple problem) not in the original bid. Only concern is hardware doesn't appear to be of commercial high-use quality, but everything looks great.

They insulated the ill-fitting front door,provided a new bronze aluminum saddle threshold, added a door shoe, installed three pieces of surpace-applied compression weather stripping, aligned the door to the frame. In the garage, the supplied a new six-panel steel fire-rated door (preprinted), removed the old hollow-core core, and installed the new door with a frame, self-closing hinges, threshold, sweep, weatherstripping, knob, moldings, and locking hardware. The work was done on schedule, quickly, and with no disruption of anything else in the house.

The work went very well. We were anticipating having to buy a new door since our old was banged up a bit by the previous owners, but Washington Door Service convinced us we could patch and paint the existing door which would have been expensive to replace. They were *very* responsive to our calls and punctual on their visits here. The result was excellent and we would hire them again.

Love them. I thought they worked very efficiently, friendly and super professional, very good at their jobs. I'm a mom at home with two little kids, and there was zero sketchiness, just busy getting things done. They listened to my description very well, and did a great job. We are so happy with the end result. Also, I called and they quoted me a rough estimate over the phone ($300) and then beat it in person by almost $50. WOW. We have gotten a lot of quotes on this work, all crazy expensive (like $2000, ridiculous, sign they didn't really want to do the work??), but these guys were just awesome. It took a week between my phone call and their first slot, but totally worth it. We will rehire them in a heartbeat.

The provider was thorough, careful, explained all the steps he was taking. I would definitely use him again.

Fast and all the details were addressed down to caulking and clean up.

Lloyd was on time, friendly got straight to work. New just what to do, doors look and work great. He cleaned up after himself. Price was fair.

They did a great job. Redesigned what we wanted so the door we wanted would fit into the space we had.

My house was broken into and my door kicked in. I called in the morning, by 5p that day I had a new door and security door. They communicated clearly about when they could fit me in, were super responsive. They got a crew of three to get the work done before night so I had a functioning door. Everyone was helpful and professional, told me about all my options, I never felt pressured to make a bigger sale. They did an excellent job, cleaned up everything, and paid attention to the smallest details. I really felt like they went above and beyond and I highly recommend them. A really superlative experience.

They were prompt, extremely professional. Got the work done fairly quickly. Since I don't know about pricing, my thought was that it might have been a tad more than I thought, but overall I am pleased with the result.

Prior to the service the company was very responsive to call and appointment. Day of service recieved a call letting me know he was on the way. Showed up looked/evaluated the issue provided recommendations as to possible solutions. What I really liked about this company is that he gave me an honest opinion, and even recommended possibly using alternative services through someone else.

Had 2 sliding glass doors that needed to be replaced. Washington Door Service was the lesser of two quotes we got that day, plus they were able to do the work that day. The doors look great and work great.

Lloyd and his assistants, Lee and Matt, were superb in the performance of their work, its quality, their reliability, and their overall professionalism. Before we ordered the new doors, Lloyd helpfully pointed out a number of options, e.g., changing the direction that one door opens, whether to use double or single dead bolts in specific places, companies that offer varying door styles, etc. The installation process involved two visits and we're very pleased with the outcomes.

I CALLED LLOYD IN THE FIRST WEEK OF MARCH AND INQUIRED ABOUT REPLACING A MOBILE HOME SLIDING GLASS DOOR. I WANTED A FRENCH DOOR. HE TOLD ME AS LONG AS WE HAD ENOUGH ROOM ABOVE THE DOOR A STANDARD SIZE DOOR COULD BE INSTALLED. (I HAVE HAD ESTIMATES FROM SEVERAL OTHER CONTRACTORS AND NO ONE HAD EVER TOLD ME A REGULAR SIZE DOOR COULD BE INSTALLED FOR US.) HE HAD ME EMAIL THE DOOR MEASUREMENTS AND A PHOTO OF THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. LLOYD GOT BACK TO ME LATER THAT DAY WITH BIDS ON A FRENCH DOOR AND A SLIDING DOOR I HAD ALSO INQUIRED ABOUT. WE CHOSE THE FRENCH DOOR. HE AND LEE WERE OUT THE NEXT DAY TO LOOK AT THE JOB. THE DOOR WAS ORDERED AND ABOUT THREE WEEKS LATER IT WAS DELIVERED ON A FRIDAY AND LLOYD AND LEE WERE OUT THE FOLLOWING MONDAY TO INSTALL .IT. THESE TWO MEN ARE THE MOST CHEERFUL, SMILING, FRIENDLY CONTRACTORS I HAVE EVER MET. THEY ARE EFFICIENT, VACUUMING UP SHAVINGS AS THEY GO AND FAST. EXTRA CUTTING WAS NEEDED TO MAKE THE DOOR FIT JUST RIGHT AND THEY DID NOT QUIT UNTIL IT WAS A PERFECT FIT. THE DOOR IS BEAUTIFUL! WE LOVE IT. WE WOULD DEFINITELY CALL AGAIN FOR DOOR REPAIRS OR REPLACEMENTS.

From start to finish I was exceptionally pleased with the professionalism and personalized service of Lee and Lloyd! Lee was very helpful in offering advice about various door options. He even talked me out of purchasing a new back door for the kitchen and encouraged me to re-finish the existing door (thus saving me $$!). They showed up on time, worked efficiently and cleaned up after the job was done. They are extremely knowledgeable about their products and they really personalized their service. I would not hesitate to use them again and again. If you're looking for someone to work on your doors, look no further! Washington Door Service is really the best!

I emailed Lloyd about the problem we were having with the door. I received a response within 20 minutes. He called the next day when he said he would. He showed up at the agreed time and he was able to determine that the door and frame were out of alignment. He was able to fix it within a couple of hours. Lloyd is very good to work with. He is very knowledgeable and professional. I would certainly recommend him to anyone needing help with a door.

Fantastic! Why did I wait so long to get this done? Lloyd and Lee came out, gave me a reasonable estimate, and showed up as agreed a few weeks later and completed the work in a morning. I was very impressed by their professionalism and efficiency. They took their measurements, made a few cuts and hung the doors perfectly! These guys are door 'artisans'. They really know their craft and it shows in the finished product.

I email Lloyd enquiring replacing my back door for a door with a doggie door. He promptly email back and I called him to get a quote. He came on time within a couple of days and discussed my needs and did some measurements. He was very professional, polite and always have a smile on his face! We decided to go with Lloyd pretty much right away because we feel very comfortable with his professionalism as well as his knowledge. Lloyd scheduled the day/time to come out to install the door and he came on time. He did all the work that we had him quoted us for and he cleaned everything up nicely. He was very helpful to help me to decide which size doggie door to put on and the door looked great! All alignments on the front door was also done perfectly, we now have a secured door. I have wood framed french doors with transome windows above and to the sides of the doors built as one framed piece that had developed some dry rot at the base of them. I had two other door companies look at them and they told me that they had to be replaced (at a cost of over $5000). Washington Door Service looked at them and told me they could repair them! They did a beautiful job and look brand new. They also adjusted many of my other exterior doors so that they sealed tighter, replacing weather stripping and making them close tighter. They also replaced my front door hardwear and lock and even added some moulding around the base of my kitchen that had never been finished...and all for a fraction of what the other companies bid just to replace the french doors. They were on time, hard working and respectful to the new finish we just had done to our floors. We would highly recommend them!
