Description of Work: I met with Steve to get a quote on a basement remodel. He's pretty no-nonsense, but I don't get the feeling he'd come up with creative ideas based on his initial thoughts. We chose another architect.

Description of Work: We were so happy we used Steve to help us with the design for our recent home remodel. This included our kitchen, master, living room, dining room, and 3 baths. He did an excellent job balancing the design with cost and functionality. He played a pivotal role in keeping the project on time and budget. He's quick with his work but has an eye for detail. Very responsive!

Description of Work: I worked with Steve on a kitchen/dining room remodel. He was responsive and easy to work with. He was creative and gave me great ideas. He provided the architectural plans for the construction. I would definitley recommended.

Description of Work: Steve responded to my phone message in less than 5 minutes and was looking at my house within an hour and a half. Though it was only informational in nature, Steve was extremely thorough in his evaluation of my somewhat run down old house after spending the morning on a multimillion dollar home improvement project elsewhere. He was down to earth, personable and best - honest. I would use him in a heart beat if I had a project appropriate to his skills!

+ -1 moreThe work went smoothly. He worked well with the other people involved in the job. I found I was able to talk with him and let him work independently to coordinate with other individuals without my needing to follow-up to make sure it was done. He was able to assist with any problems that came up and also assessed the quality of the contractor and the sub-contractors I had hired. I found that his advice was useful, not only for what he suggested, but even more so for what he suggested I NOT do. He had a good eye for where the money could be most effectively spent to improve the value of the home. Several times, he directed me away from projects that would have poured money and resources into work with a lower return for the house architecturally and financially.
Description of Work: Steve drew up plans for a kitchen and bathroom gutting and remodel. He was very professional, courteous, prompt, and thorough. He followed up on issues he saw with the remodel, drew up appropriate plans and was receptive to changes on both my part and the building contractor's. He was also able to assist with the initial materials selection for the project as well as color-coordinating the exterior paint work with the roofing job already completed.

Description of Work: Steve was kind enough to provide a simple consultation for a small job (fireplace remodel) even though he typically does larger projects. He carefully looked at our old fireplace and surrounding area, reviewed our ideas, materials we liked and suggested a design. Then incorporated it all into a simple drawing that we can use to get the job done.

He represented the project in an honest, professional and excellent manner. Steve's work reflected the depth of his commitment, experience and expertise as an architect. I was delighted with the plans he designed and the services he provided.

HE CAME UP WITH PLANS THAT ACHIEVED OUR GOALS, WERE ARCHITECTURALLY OUTSTANDING (IN & OUT) AND MANAGED TO GIVE US A VIEW AS WELL. STEVE IS THE ULTIMATE IN PROFESSIONALISM.
Description of Work: FULL ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES, INCLUDING STRUCTURAL, ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING SCHEMATICS, AND SECURING OF THE PERMITS. THIS WAS FOR A MAJOR ADDITION MORE THAN DOUBLING THE EXISTING SQUARE FOOTAGE. ALSO INCLUDED ON SITE VISITS/CONSULTATION DURING THE PROJECT AND ADVISING THE CONTRACTOR WHEN NECESSARY.
