Marty was very knowledgeable and generous with his time. Perhaps a little blunt at times, but this is what you want from an inspector. Marty's approach is very holisitic and gives you a sense of potential AND the properties current state. The report was detailed and professional. Love the house and use the report as a means of prioritizing upgrades still. Great price point for quality service.

My wife and I were placing an offer on a home less than 24 hours after it hit the market and we already had several competitors. We found out that one of the other offers had already had a pre-inspection and were waiving the inspection contingency. With 6 hours before the final offers were going to be considered, I found Urban Dwelling Inspections. I wish I remembered the owner's name because this guy was amazing. Even though I was only paying for a walk-through inspection, he spent probably about 3 hours going over every detail of the house, all while throngs of people were walking through it, potentially seeking to bid against us. He got up on the roof, took pictures, went up into the attic, inspected the electrical, you name it. He found many issues, most of them minor, told us how to get them taken care of and documented all of them. In the end, thanks to this inspector, we were able to confidently waive the inspection contingency and ended up with the winning bid for our house. We've been here a little over three months now and have had several contractors over to deal with the issues that our inspector discovered, and even they are shocked at how thorough this guy was. We got really lucky that we found this guy and I couldn't recommend him highly enough.
Description of Work: The owner provided a very rapid and incredibly thorough pre-inspection on a house I was placing an offer on... the same day I called!
