Whatever you do, stay far away from Sean McElhaney. I had him come out to give an estimate on painting my house. He gave me a price along with a guarantee that “the estimate is how much the work will cost regardless if it goes long or takes more materials then I estimated” (a direct quote from an email correspondence between us). I agreed to his estimate, and he gave me a date that he would start the work. More than a week later, he actually started. He took twice the amount of time he said he would, and in the process broke a window. Because the process started late and took twice as long as expected, the last day overlapped with a planned vacation. Not wanting to make him wait a week to get paid, I paid him the agreed upon amount after he told me he would finish the work the next day. Three weeks later and the work has still not been completed and now he is threatening to sue me for more money than the agreed upon amount because the job took longer than he expected, which is in direct conflict with the contract we have. He also will not pay for the broken window or even acknowledge that it exists. I wish I had never met the guy and I hope that this review will save you the headache he has caused me.
