I purchased a 16GB iPad2 on 9/30/11, with the representation that the device had more than enough memory to accommodate my needs. The sales associate making that representation was very helpful in helping me do the initial setup. I was told that there was a 14 day return policy. Over the next week, I found that the memory was inadequate and took the device back for an exchange with a 32GB unit. The same sales associate told me that the exchange had to be approved by the store manager. That individual said that they would not do the exchange unless I paid a 15% restocking fee (and the additional fee for the larger capacity device), because I did not have the original box. I found this offensive, because I had been doing business with the store and its predecessors for over 30 years. The manager remained adamant, and was within his legal rights in accordance with the fine print on the back of the original invoice. I paid the restocking fee. And, I got little or no help in clearing data from the old device or in setting the new device up. I would not recommend this store to anyone for sales or service, and will never return.

The hard drive in my son's computer died. Since the computer was not under warranty, the tech at the Apple Store recommended that I buy a drive online and take the drive and computer to the Mac Store to have it installed, since this would be the least expensive way to do the work and because replacing the drive in a MacBook Pro requires better eyesight than I have. I took their advice. The Mac Store got the work done in a reasonable amount of time and also recovered the data from my son's hard drive, all of that for $150. Not a bad deal IMHO.

I had them come out 2 times to fix the same problem. They didn't fix it the first time and I had to pay the minimum $100.00 fee again the second time that they came out. I have to use them as they are the only ones that do house calls in my area. They were not very respectful and even asked me how to diagnosis the problem. Their customer service is poor.
Description of Work: My computer was running very slow and they came to the house and cleaned my hard drive. The disk was warped but it was under warranty.

GREAT! FOUND OUT ABOUT WARRANTIES I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT AND HAD MAC REPAIR THE ITEM FOR FREE. CALLED ME FOR THE FINISHED ITEM SOONER THAN I EXPECTED AND COMPED THE $49 FEE BACK TO ME SINCE MAC REIMBURSED WITH THE REPAIRS FROM THE WARRANTY.
