TEETER'S METAL FAB

I called Teeters and asked if they could do a small repair on my concrete mixer. I use this mixer daily and when the mixer is down my business stops. I explained that it was a small repair. I think I was talking to the owner as he said they were very busy but to bring it by in the afternoon and he would take a look at it. I brought it by and the person I talked to asked if I had an appointment and I said no but I had talked to someone who I presumed was the owner and he said to bring it by this afternoon. He said they had a $40 minimum and I said that was fine. He also said the owner was at lunch but I should leave the mixer and they would call me when the owner returned. In about 1 1/2 hours I had not received a call but I was in the area and stopped by. I was delighted to see my mixer sitting there with the weld completed. Before going to Teeters, I had tried to get my mixer repaired in Shoreline which is close to my home although I had Teeters name given to me by a customer along with a "they are great". I stopped at the Shoreline welding shop and asked if they could do a spot weld which I estimated could not take over 15 minutes. I was told by the owner that he was very busy this time of year and he couldn't even look at it for two weeks. I should not have wasted my time and gone straight to Teeters. As a small business owner it is great to see a business that values every customer and goes out of there way to help a fellow small business get back on the road. The repairs are perfect. The Murphy bed functions cleanly and may have another 100 years of use! Former daily use had worn the cast iron parts down. There was the risk of breaking or damaging the parts by trying to mend them. Kevin carefully mended the pieces and returned them to working order. The repairs were delayed because Kevin had hurt his back, but he was professional and his pricing was very fair.

This was the second repair on this chair. The chair is an office chair that fully reclines so it puts quite a strain on the single steel bar that controls the reclining and the leg rest extension. The first time, they pointed this out to me and noted that the weld should hold but that the bar was likely to break somewhere else and they were right. This time, they replaced the original bar with a much thicker and stronger bar that still fit into the original mechanism. Their solution was great and done on time. Since the chair costs around $1000 it was a great bargain. I recommend them and would use them again for any metal repair especially one requiring innovative thinking.

I TOOK THE ANDIRONS TO THE SHOP AND SHOWED THEM THE PROBLEM. A PRICE WAS ADVISED AND AGREED TO, AND A DATE WAS SET FOR COMPLETION OF THE JOB. WHEN THE DATE WAS DUE, I PICKED UP THE ANDIRONS. I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THE WORK.
