Description of Work: My computer began to shut down suddenly, for no reason, and need frequent restarting. I thought I had a virus, so I flattened. But the problem persisted. Tech Lab diagnosed the hardware failure and replaced the VGA card so it worked again. On one visit, I spent some time chatting with the main guy at tech lab. He has over 20 years of experience working with many different types of customers: seniors, young people, experienced and not, different ethnic backgrounds. I would use him again.

Description of Work: They didn't arrive when expected because of a computer error on their end and they make ever effort to more than compensate me for the time lost and the problem. They are very hard working and will do the job well. I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Tech lab offers chargers for Dell laptops--we have a 2008 Inspiron that's had ongoing electrical issues.Said problem led me to CraigsList.org, where Tech Lab offered Dell chargers, new and used. Pricing is well below Dell's. Phone call to Tech Lab was all I needed to understand problems I had been having with Dell's Repair Depot. Dell finally replaced both charger [our third or fourth] and motherboard of the Inspiron, so I did not end up buying from Tech Lab. But I have told other users that these guys know the Dell product line, and seem to keep current on it. If I had known about them four years ago I would have saved a bunch of money wasted on battery replacement and charger replacement. [ In order to replace a charger Dell requires that there be a Dell battery in the laptop. Dell estimates battery life at 12-18 months. They "warranty" the battery for only 12 months. After that time, you buy their battery [$130 for standard, $170 for 9-cell ] and only then will Dell will test the charger. Price, competence--Tech Lab is A-1 in my book. Breath of fresh air

Description of Work: Sunny and his assistant Lai were very helpful and courteous. They explained the wireless connection problem I was having with my laptop and why it might be happening. Then offered several solutions. I could return my computer to HP for repair or purchase a $40 wireless USB on the spot. They offered to let me try their product before buying. I tried it overnight and it was far superior so I purchased it the following day. On Saturday I returned and took another computer to them for repair the next day. They provided a very reasonable estimate. $110 to completely repair it and it will be ready in 2 days. It is so nice to have this service close to home in the neighborhood. I encourage others to support TechLab.
