+ -1 moreI always love the selection at Swanson's. I always end up spending much longer than I plan to wandering the aisles. They have beautiful plants & I don't think I've had one die on me-unlike the plants I get through mail-order. However-the prices are such that I never seem to be able to leave there without spending $100 or more. So I buy some there & some elsewhere. The staff at Swanson's also tends to be especially helpful & knowledgeable. So the moral of the story is-you get what you pay for. Top quality just isn't cheap.
Description of Work: I recently purchased some very unusually colored pumpkins (a combo of cream & blue & green) & a small bush & pot feet. I checked out buying some herbs-but didn't end up doing so.

THEY ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ON THE ADAPTABILITY OF THAT PLANT FOR OUR PARTICULAR SOIL OR ENVIRONMENT, AND WILL COME OUT TO WORK ON YOUR YARD OR GIVE YOU THE INFORMATION TO DO IT YOURSELF! THE GARDEN SHOP AND RESTAURANT ARE FULL OF WONDERFUL SURPRISES EACH SEASON WITH GIFTS AND FOOD ITEMS GALORE!

Description of Work: WE HAD SOME DIFFICULTY LOCATING A PARTICULAR KIND OF VERBENA. THE SALES STAFF WERE TENACIOUS IN TRACKING DOWN THE PERSON WHO WOULD BE MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE PLANTS.

+ -1 moreI ALWAYS ENJOY GOING TO SWANSON'S. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE WITH BEAUTIFUL PLANTS EVERYWHERE. IT IS WELL ORGANIZED AND WELL STAFFED, AND THE STAFF HELP YOU HAVE AN ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE. IT IS SOMEWHAT PRICEY, BUT WORTH IT.
Description of Work: PURCHASED PLANTS FOR MY YARD. THEY HAVE SPECIALISTS TO HELP YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT PLANTS FOR YOUR SUN EXPOSURE AND SOIL TYPE.
