Initial error in estimate, but adjusted down. Roofing and gutters look great.

I looked at four different roofing companies. I chose Statewide because they sounded like they knew what they were doing and the price was comparable to the lowest bidder. I also chose them because they didn't try to sell me additional services I didn't want. One salesman from a different company kept explaining that they charged more because they had more overhead. Not a good way to sell people. By the time I met with the Statewide people I knew what to ask and they gave me good answers. Statewide's crew was efficient, friendly, and on time. It took a day longer than we originally thought (due to rain, I believe) but they worked very hard to finish the roof up as quickly as possible. The crew cleaned up each evening and cleaned up entirely, including searching for metal in the yard, before they left. In spite of having to remove shingles, they did no damage to my garden. I most appreciated how nice the guys were who worked on the roof. They worked steadily and respectfully answered any questions I had.

While the products were of high quality, they were one of the higher estimates we received in comparing apples to apples. We chose to use a provider we had used before and came in with a more reasonable estimate even with the upgrades we requested.

Did not start on date that was expected. Left garbage -dump bin out for weeks after was complete (did not call to get it removed- I had to call) Nice finished product but not the best communication. I was told they would start on a certain date but then had to call 2 different times because they did not start when we expected them to.

Impressed with the expressed experience and roofing knowledge of the initial contact sales rep, the installer crew, and finally the owner visiting at the end of the project. The new shingles were lighter in tone that we thought due to a missunderstanding of the product series names, but we plan to adjust the house paint scheme to coordinate the colors and we need to paint the house anyway. The Birchwood shingle is a silver/grey to faint black tone that is a very interesting dynamic color and dimensional relief. The installing crew and lead forman were very good; clean up at the end of very day, friendly, worked quietly, and worked efficiently. I really appreciated Statewide's communication to know and adhere to GAF's specifications for material components and installation details. Statewide also included their installation warranty tagged with the GAF warranty. Contractually, it went pretty smooth (we did not anticpate a couple of things but that does not really take away from the overall contract experience with Statewide). I might suggest a few things if you want a new roof: > Review the products on the GAF website. > Determine if a second layer can be applied over an existing single layer of roofing. GAF has an acceptance criteria for this on their website and Statewide provided additional advice. > Determine if a re-roof permit is needed. Statewide excludes obtaining a permit. Fortunately in Pierce County, the process was very easy and in fact a permit was not needed for my situation. > Check with your neighborhood covenents for any limitations on roofing selections. > Get prequalified for financing in order to avoid surprises in terms or delys before starting the roofing order and schedule. Statewide offers convienent financing link to a local bank or finance your own way. > Be clear on the shingle series with the sales rep. > Make room on the ground areas around your home for the installers to work and land debrie trimmings coming off the roof.

Contractor representative, Ken, made cold-call and requested to submit a bid for various work...paint, deck, etc. Arranged for an appointment at 6pm, the next day, stressing it was important for all decision making parties to be present. Wife spoke with manager while making the appointment. A follow-up call, from contractor representative, Douglas, was received, that evening to confirm the nature of the work, to insure a qualified estimator would be dispatched. Once again, it was stressed how important it was for all decision making parties to be present. The time for the appointment came and went. It is now a full 24 hours after the missed appointment and still not so much as a "we're sorry". No respect for our time was given. I had two other tasks that had to be rescheduled, to be here for the agreed appointment. Should you make an appointment with this company, don't do so, if you have something else to do. Funny how they wanted the work so badly they knocked on my door, but not enough to respect my time.

Contractor held up his end of the bargain and then some. If you use Statewide in my experience you will spend less and get more. Andrew Spodek 970 319 0171

They did everything they said they were going to do and there were no surprises. They even offered to give our overgrown bushes a quick trim while they were cleaning up!!! My wife is so happy with the new look of our home, it’s like we got a face lift we will have them replace our windows next year.
