Stacey was wonderful! She spent a couple of hours with us, figuring out our style, what we wanted, and helping us choose colors. She did a great job of working with us to have a lot of color in our house while maintaining color flow from room to room and picking out complimentary colors. I've now completed most of the painting and am so happy with the colors. It was money WELL spent!

Decision making around flooring, paint color choices, and lighting were completed. Final work to be contracted out next year within budget restrictions. Stacey input as to how to space out lighting and type of lighting already has made a significant improvement in how the space feels and we use it more now because the basement space no longer feels like a cold dungeon.

Ms. Riley arrived late to my house for her first appointment. She did not call and though I tried to call her, I could not get through. She arrived with a stray dog expecting to put it in my yard while we met. I made her tie it to a bush at the end of my driveway. She said that stopping to pick up the stray was why she was late. When we talked on the phone to set up the appointment she neglected to inform me of her rates for an estimate and that she charged for samples and sample books. The first time I knew that there was a fee for this service was when she sent me the invoice by email. I informed her that I was surprised she had not mentioned these fees up front and she nervously giggled and said that she thought she had. I returned the box of samples she sent me with a check for the amount she said I owed her and told her how unhappy I was with her total lack of professionalism. She charged me $9.50 for talking to me on the phone, $71.25 for the first meeting, $71.25 to check out sample books she brought with her, an $80.00 surcharge because I live outside Seattle, and $47.50 for the research she did. None of these fees were discussed up front. I am a professional in my own field and would never get away with treating a customer so cavalierly.

This went great. We were happy with colors and knowledge she offered. The window covering process was a little more elaborate, time consuming, and costly. This was a great experience overall.

Stacey is awesome. Scheduling her time was easy. She arrived with lots of energy and warmth. She asked me to walk her around my house and talk about each room --what I liked, didn't like, what changes I wanted. After lengthy conversation and brain storming, she gave me homework: write out all the work I am planning on having done on my house with a budget window for each item. And she had me go through magazines and pull out pictures I liked --so she could get a sense of my likes and tastes. For the budget homework, I emailed it to her, and she reviewed it and commented where she thought my estimates were in line or not realistic. This was very helpful to me in prioritizing what pieces of the remodel I put money into first. For the magazine pictures, she came back for a 2nd visit and worked with my 7-year-old son and I. She listened to his interests (and knew from our previous meeting that I was scared he would want an all red bedroom), and worked with him to identify a color he liked (and that didn't terrify me). He chose a very cheery orange. She then worked with me to select colors for the living room, kitchen, and sun room. Though I was only having the living/dining area painted this year, she wanted to make sure I had a plan for the entire house. She also made sure the colors selected worked with the color I had painted in my bedroom earlier that year. I told her at the start that I was afraid if left to my own devices I would only select variations on tan. That I wanted color, but didn't want something that I'd get sick of in a year. I was really pleasantly surprised at the shade of green I selected for the living room. Both rooms, once painted look great! I am thrilled. I feel Stacey took the time to get to know me and my tastes. And she also brought new perspectives for me to consider. There is no way I would have selected these colors withouth her guidance. And the colors on our walls look fantastic! I look forward to her guidance on window treatments. She had ideas for furniture placemented

I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal as a gift for my sister who was moving into a new downtown condo and wanted to make some changes with her tile and paint colors. During the consultation the designer seemed very focused on paint colors, to the exclusion of everything else I felt like tile should be resolved before we started talking about paint. Also, the deal I purchased was for two hours of time, and she only spent about 45 minutes with me. So, overall I didn't use any of her recommendations, and didn't feel like I got my money's worth, even considering the Big Deal.

Stacey worked well with us to figure out the best selections for our rooms. She was professional in her interactions, and she was good at listening to our preferences. She knew when it would be worthwhile to spend the extra money and when it wasn't necessary. Her main weakness was in the billing department. We negotiated a discount and then she didn't have the paperwork in order so we had to double check everything. That's why I gave her a B on price and professionalism. In the end it was fine, and we absolutely love the selections we carefully made with her help.

She was easy to work with and comfortable to talk to. She communicated her advice well in regards to colors, tile, lighting and other additional elements. She was always prompt and followed up on all emails and phone calls. She pointed out enough things that made me feel like I got my money worth but overall her advice was a little generic.

She was spectacular. She was very good. She was very good. We wanted to do some painting and she provided samples. She knew her stuff really well. She forwarded fabrics and we are going to continue to work with her.

Stacey gave us many very practical, helpful suggstions, we were delighted to benefit from her perspective.

Stacey is a pleasant person to work with. Patient and not pushy. As stated by previous a reviewer, personal issues can delay communications/services with her client. However, this is the nature of a one-woman (or one-man) company. Just know and be prepared for who you are hiring. No negatives in my experience with Stacey. However, just a clarification for future clients. It appears that that your interior decorator (ID) can get "designer discounts" with some companies and "pass on the saving to you." However, the net saving and hassle may not be worth it. The "furniture company" gives you a discount but the ID will charge a fee for purchasing through their company. This may equal to nominal saving for the time wasted on paperwork, sending in checks, clarifying purchaser and delivery address, etc. Cost: $500 for design consult.

She was over and above willing to work with me on price. She was great. She was very responsive and easy to work with.

She did a wonderful job on the consultation. She was not punctual and showed up late. She was a very generous person, but was expensive. I would use her again in the future.

I had a great experience of Stacey. I did not feel rushed or forced to make any decisions. I was confident with the selections I made with my color palette and would certainly use Stacey again in the future.

My overall experience was exceptional. I would definitely work with Stacey again and recommend her. I loved all of the choices that she helped me make... she was very responsive and committed to ensuring I was highly satisfied with the end result.

The work turned out to be fine. I thought she was creative and had some creative ideas. I enjoyed working with her and she had a good ray of choices and gave creative practical suggestions.

Stacy was great, and we had a really good time picking out colors with her. Her service was very helpful in focusing us on what we wanted.

Excellent service from Statcey and the subcontractor. She had an excellent collection of samples to choose from.

Stacey met with my husband and me at our house to make plans to remodel our master bath and bedroom. I was nervous to use a designer because I had never used one before, I didn't want our house to look like someone else had "done" it, and I really didn't want to feel obligated to buy outrageously expensive things to make the space look wonderful. Stacey was/is great! She did a great job at taking cues from our style and incorporating style that I wanted but never could quite get right on my own. She was extremely responsive to calls and email and always pleasant to have over. She let us direct how much involvement we wanted from her - for example, we collected tiles and pictures of things and just reviewed them with her to integrate different parts of the room rather than have her do these things, but she was great about sending along options to consider to get me started in a space if I felt stuck. Her paint color selections were spot-on and in-line with our goals for the space. She seemed equally comfortable using pieces of furniture that I found at a consignment store or at Masin's, which I appreciated - I have had a brief start with designers in the past that made me feel that I should only be using the latter, which is why I had never used a designer in the past. What has resulted is a room that is very pleasing to my husband and me, looks harmonious with the rest of the house, and feels comfortable and stylish. We still have some finishing touches to plan in the room, but my husband and I are already planning to use Stacey again for some other rooms that need help. I'm excited because the process with her has been so easy and fun in our first project. He's excited because it means that I won't make him change the paint colors four or five times before I like it.

Very, very well. Stacey immediately came in and got what our needs were in transforming an overly large room into a bedroom. Her immediate suggestions were adding a set of french or barn doors to promote a more cozy environment, while also creating a neat new sitting room. That was worth the price of her service alone, as we've had it done and it looks fantastic. Additionally, both my wife and I needed assistance/validation on paint/carpet choices for interior remodel. She helped us both validate some of our thinking, but also pointed out areas where our choices may not work as well as we were thinking....this would help avoid some costly mistakes. She also graciously loaned us sample books and did research for some furniture options that might suit our needs and tastes. The painting is being done now in the colors we decided with Stacey's help, and really looks exactly as we had hoped it would. I'll also say that in not having used a designer before, I wasn't sure what to expect. However, Stacey is really down to earth, very easy to talk with and someone you enjoy working with on a project. My wife and I highly recommend her and have very good things to say about the work and value we have received.

It was not a good experience. I didn?t end up using her because it was too difficult for her to come to the east side. She changed her appointment at the last minute twice saying that she didn?t like coming to Redmond near commute hours. Her rate was $250 to do paint colors for an entire house and you had to pay mileage. I also wanted consults on carpeting and curtains and she would not do that on the paint consult visits, I had to pay for her to come out separately to do that. I decided that she was impossible and it wasn?t going to work.

Her price and quality were good. She was punctual and professional. I would use her in future.
