Description of Work: Leif and his head carpenter Matt did a great job with our seismic retrofit. Everything was patiently and clearly explained beforehand, and Matt even finished the project ahead of schedule. Afterwards, my mother-in-law said she wanted to adopt Matt. Very professional, very courteous. They were recommended by our home inspector so we didn't shop around for prices, but we were so comfortable with them and confident in their work that we'd happily choose them again even if they did cost more than other retrofitters (though I don't know if they do).

Description of Work: Initial meeting to discuss seismic retrofit to crawlspace. It went very well, and eventually we will employ their services. Because of the interest in seismic retrofit, it will be some time before they will be available to do the service.

Description of Work: Sound Seismic did a great job retrofitting my 1500 sq foot house. The estimate was clear, and provided in a timely manner. The work was scheduled and done on the day they said they would do it. (Actually they called to see if they could do it earlier and we agreed to the earlier date) The work was done in one day, the city inspected the next day and I received an invoice a couple of days later. They honored a coupon I'd gotten from a friend. I mailed the payment and received the certificate of retrofit promptly. I would highly recommend them and would hire them again.

Description of Work: My house has no basement, so most work was done by removing the siding & bolting the house to the foundations, adding plywood & nailing it (boltsize, rail size & spacing plywood type & thickness are all regulated). Some work could be done inside the garage & small crawlspace under the porch. The workman was thorough & careful, with care for my plantings, reusing siding as possible, & total clean up.
