Received a bid within 2 days and once agreed upon, they came and completed the many projects within a two week time-frame. They worked hard, were very courteous and honest and always cleaned up after each job. Extremely satisfied with their work.

+ 0 moreRoger was prompt, tidy, efficient, friendly, and sure knows how to install a toilet fast. He arrived right on time and was done in 30 minutes. He carried the toilets up and down the stairs by himself. He also took all the packaging from the new toilet so there was no cleanup for us.

+ 0 moreOnce again Roger came through with flying colors. I had a light switch go bad...it got very hot and tripped the breaker. We shut off the breaker and with it, several lights and living room plugs until the problem could be fixed. I initially scheduled a service call with an electrician because I have knob and tube wiring. When he failed to show up or call, I called Roger. He came by the same day, tested the circuit, replaced the switch with a new one and made a recommendation for a replacement breaker that I will have him complete in the near future. He was professional, friendly and thorough as always. He doesn't try to upsell and he is always patient with explaining what needs to be done. Honestly, for most repairs and problems I won't bother calling anyone else. Roger is just that good and dependable. Thanks again Roger!

+ 1 moreRoger is amazing. He is friendly, puncutal and professional. Roger came out and gave us a quote the same day we called. He got the old fan down, installed a new, larger fan and light, patched the ceiling hole and left the room just as he found it. Despite my protestations that he did not have to worry about any kind of mess (the bathroom is awful and needs a remodel badly), he tarped things off and cleaned up before he left. The fan and light work perfectly. I could not be happier with the work. He also advised us that when we remodel, we will want to relocate the fan exhaust....very good information but certainly not something he had to do. Thank you Roger for a badly-needed repair and a job well done. I would call Roger again in a New York minute for any repair or work I need in the future.
Description of Work: Roger removed an old, broken bath fan and light and installed a new one. The repair was complicated by the fact that the old fan had been installed prior to an attic bedroom being built over the top of it.

He came over and gave a fair bid, was patience as it was several days before I had the chance to make a decision and was quite busy to try to schedule time to have the room available. I just started a new job so I was unable to get time off to be present, so we worked out a time when roomates were available to have the work done. He came in did his work, was efficient and even though it was a two day job, he controlled the potential mess and stuck to his schedule, was professional and under budget. Very friendly and I would recommend him anytime.
Description of Work: I needed drywall repair and painting in bedroom to repair damage caused by a hornet's nest which was embedded in the wall from the outside.

Description of Work: Roger assembled an outdoor storage shed for me. He improvised some parts as my movers lost a couple of major pieces. It took him almost 6 hours and the finished product looked amazing!

+ 0 moreBought the Groupon in August, and wasn't sure what we would use it for. Was a little nervous as with the Groupon, they wanted to know ahead of time what work they should plan on completing. Tough for me to guess. Once i read the service mans profile on-line, it was easy to select a task appropriate to the skill level indicated. It was easy to schedule and reschedule. The folks on the phone were courteous and easy to work with. A pleasant experience that netted great results.
Description of Work: I bought a Groupon for Yellow Van Handyman, and booked it through Hometask.com. The work that Andrey Shcherbinskiy did was amazing. We had an unfinished laundry room, with exposed pipes and an unfinished ceiling. We also had another ceiling repair that had to be done because a light was replaced and it left a significant size hole exposed in the ceiling. In two hours time, this guy had repaired the gaps and finished the laundry room. We'll do the sanding - he had to allow time for it to dry, but he left pretty detailed instructions as to what was next. The sanding required is light, everything is well aligned, it looks top notch. Some of the work had to be done in a tight space, and another repair in a low ceiling, awkward spot. The work - beautiful. And an absolute steal. We'll have him come back at the regular rate (looks like $75/hour.) He's fast, efficient, timely and professional. What a gift!

+ -1 moreThey were great. I don’t remember the amount I spent but I know it was reasonable. We needed somebody who knew what he was doing. We did not take up the challenge ourselves. It did take him a while to get it done but it got done. It was done right. He was fine. The price was fine and it’s hard to find somebody to do small jobs. I would use his services again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Yellow VAN Handyman. I last used their services in November 2010. We had like a handicapped door knob that has a big long plate on it and it was in our older house. The older house is not straight and so we did not take up the challenge ourselves because we needed somebody to do the job really well. We needed somebody who knew what he was doing. It did take him a while to get it done but it got done. It was done right.
