I've had one other experience working with a designer and it wasn't perfect. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from a designer or that I could make use of the opinions of someone else on something as personal as my home. But I have found it so hard to figure out how to furnish my home in the way it, and we, deserve. Rebecca had an interesting service where she comes by for 90 minutes and answers whatever questions you have. I thought that would be a good way to get some opinions on challenges that seemed daunting to me and see if it was possible for me to like a designer. It went so well that I brought her back a second time to do the same thing with additional spaces and now we are looking to hire her to design a whole room. That part is looking forward so these reviews are about the in-home design consultations. She's professional and efficient with time while still being friendly and taking the time to learn a bit about us and what we like. I never felt like she had her own desires or requirements for how the space "should" look but rather that she wanted to suggest things that fit our desires and lifestyle in a way that fit together as a whole. We liked most of her recommendations instantly, when we didn't she took that feedback and instantly found alternatives that matched us better, and she was willing to follow up with more info by email. In one particularly challenging room I was especially impressed with the ideas she presented as they involved some drywall and custom work that never would have occurred to me as an option but seemed like such a perfect solution once I saw it. If you want someone who can unify your style instead of imposing one of their own I think you should try Rebecca. The in-home question sessions are a great way to test out the service and get some valuable insights with no commitment.

It went really well. Rebecca is very organized and offered really concrete suggestions about where to find ideas and how to track them. With the detailed kitchen plan I was able to obtain detailed construction estimates and knew where to go to find what I needed to implement it successfully. I took down a wall between kitchen and dining room and doubled both the counter and storage space. The windows in the kitchen now shed light into the dining room and beyond. It is really a great space to cook and spend time. The critical part of a kitchen is how you use it and her design gave both the contractor and the cabinet maker the details needed to give me a complete bid for the work. Her list of referrals was incredibly helpful when comparing flooring and lighting and ordering kitchen plumbing fixtures. She even was available to provide feedback and additional ideas when backsplash tiles needed to be chosen - picking color that work well with the quartz countertop and cabinets. All in all an extremely good experience!!!

Rebecca West made my first home remodel fun and beautiful. She really got inside my head to come with some beautiful, modern, and innovative designs to replace my outdated and hideous bathroom. It wasn't a large or high-budget design project, but she was excited, supportive, and non-intimidating and made the process fun. Her measurements and tile layouts were exacting, so having her involved saved me from making my own mistakes and everyone is in awe of my great bathroom.
