It went really well. We followed the provider's tips and suggestions to reinforce the base of our walls.

Not work this company performed to repair but advised what was needed.

It was very good. He was very nice. He did what I wanted him to do. I just wanted to inspect underneath the house to see if there was no water draining because we live on a slope. He came, he went down there and he went around the house. He said everything was ok. The best thing was he didn’t find anything wrong. The house here is made of wood. About 4 years ago we bought the house and we never had anyone going in there to see if everything was ok and everything is sealed. It was nice that he said everything was ok and we don’t have to do any work. Sometimes people come and say that we have to do this and do that. He came and checked everything. He didn’t try to do work that wasn’t needed. I trust him. It was a big deal purchase. I was happy with the price. For everyone that was supposed to come and check it would cost more. If I need something I will call him again in the future.

I basically feel that any waterproofing company would provide the same information for free as part of a bid to do work. When I asked him if he would subtract the $49 from the price of waterproofing he said Angie's list takes it all. When I asked him to repeat some part of his explanations he rolled his eyes around and got frustrated. He was not that professional. However his solution to waterproof the basement if that is what I need sounded logical and his price may actually be reasonable, but I will not know until I get some more bids which I will be able to get for free. He just needs to brush up on his presentation. I think also Angie's list should not charge a customer for essentially what should be a free bid as what most contractor's offer.

The experience turned out good. They were thorough and knowledgeable. The price for the assessment was fine. It was very affordable.

Answered all my questions and gave a lot of good information. My home backs up to a wetlands so I wanted the drainage checked. They did not try to gain extra business, rather told me that all looked good.and that there were not any issues with my home. He also told me what to look for in my crawl space if I were to have any drainage problems in the future. The best $49.00 I've spent in a long time :) . .

I paid for the service. The provider came at the scheduled time. He explained to me that I don't really need this inspection at this time.

I just felt I paid $49 for a quote when I could have gotten a quote for free.

The service worked out fine, and there were no issues.

Had the entire drainage system including gutters, spouts and drains evaluated. Also checked the basement for possible problem areas. Got good information for quick affordable maintenance to avoid potential future problems and ball park prices for rerouting spouts. Worth doing in this rainy part of the world.

No work was done. I am so annoyed by this repeated questioning of this job. Sometimes there is no way to answer all these question for Angie's list and I cannot make you stop asking me!!!!! I just made up the date and cost. Stop asking me about this job.

The rating I gave has more to do with the value of the 'Big Deal' as opposed to the quality of work performed since Seattle Superior Waterproofing didn't do any actual work. For $49 Galen gave us a couple of recommendations to prevent water from entering our basement. I also got a couple of recommendations from another company for free.

My experience with him went fine. He did a good job. He didn’t charge me anything more than the Big Deal coupon. He checked out the crawl space. He made sure that there were no leaks. Everything turned out okay for me.

I feel that I got my money's worth with the inspection and got an idea of what to do next, but not the answer to the problem that I was hoping for.

Galen returned my voicemail after his normal business hours and confirmed a next day appointment.

All went well. We left everything up to Galen after discussions surrounding some specifics that we needed. We left town for the long Thanksgiving weekend. When we returned to the house on Sunday the house was dust free, the basement work was complete, and they did an EXCELLENT job. We are very happy with it and highly recommend Seattle Superior Waterproofing.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it worked out fine. They responded quickly and did everything I wanted.

He did not find any problem and he said that everything was good. He was good at explaining what could be done and whether or not it was worth the cost. He also suggested some things if I wanted to do preventative work.

Galen responded the next day to our call, inspected the area and told us what the problem was and how to fix it. It was a quick, simple fix that we could do ourselves and he didn't charge us for his time, which we really appreciated.

Water leaks into my basement during heavy rains. Seattle Superior Waterproofing came out to analyze the situation and give me an number of options for the repair. Service, price, and the options offered all sounded good. I wiil definitely hire them when the work would be less disruptive to my tenants.

Galen showed up on time for the estimate and gave the same diagnosis for a repair as another company that was approximately $2,000 higher in their bid. I called to confirm the date, and he phoned right back. Right on time on the service date and performed all work in a professional like manner. In the area we had an exterior foundation crack, they dug down approximately 4', removed the soil and replaced a french drain section that was already there. I saw the hole and the amount of dirt excavated; and honestly, when they were finished, they returned the area like they had never been there. We have not had heavy rains yet to test the work, but I do appreciate someone who shows up on time, stands by their word and does a good job. Seems hard to find these days.

They arrived promptly at 8 am and loaded all their gear into place as I was told by Galen. They began jack hammering within an hour and pretty much did that all day. They said it was a particularly difficult floor. They had to jack hammer around a bunch of DWV and in the process did some damage. I was pretty leery at this point which is partly why I gave them the B for quality. But Galen came back and fixed it right away as good as new the next day. They got behind schedule the next day, just not working the most efficiently, and I thought things might stretch to a third day. But their concrete work went quick and they finished by 3 the second day. I felt the concrete could have ben returned to its original condition but this was one of those quirky locations with lots of pipe and the wall floor plate built up onto a curb of concrete. I could have been nit picky about it but I finished it myself with a pretty stiff sand mix. It looks great. the day after I was done was when we got a deluge of rain that brought flash flooding in our are and really tested the setup. It worked great! The window well drain which they installed was inundated and cleared out easily. Had they not done that the failure of my other drain systems would have wrecked havoc on the window. So much water though that the interior clean out plug popped open and a tiny bit of water came out. Again quality and attention to detail would have prevented this but not a big deal considering what was saved by this system. Way to go Seattle Superior Waterproofing! Work on that quality, attack those details and increase your efficiency and you'll have a business to be very proud of.

Galen, the owner, was very prompt and friendly in communications to set up the first appt to review the situation and the 2nd appt to do the work. He and his able, agile, and knowledgeable assistant, Dave, got right to work and had the job done within a half hour. The space was cramped and access was awkward due to the severe, almost vertical, downward slope of the ground to be covered and the darkness therein; but they got it done. Working in this particular space liberated a lot of microfine airborne ash dust (90 y worth) since the mound was under a no longer used fireplace. As such, I would suggest that they offer to cover or have the customer cover any electronics nearby so the dust doesn't get into the vents and openings. They were very neat and carted out the old covering without leaving any mess, but afterward as I wiped up the unavoidable airborne dust film, I realized I probably should have covered the nearby TV equipment. This would be similar to what floor refinishing companies do where a lot of sanding is involved. Just a suggestion, not a complaint. We were grateful they honored our Groupon since we called just 3 days before it expired! We did not seek alternative bids so we can't compare prices. But we felt like we got fair value and considerate, no hassle treatment.
