Seattle Superior Waterproofing

I was expecting a more personal response in email (versus "call Galen to schedule an appointment" but I can see how selling a lot of these deals could make it difficult to read the requested dates of service. Also I read a lot of the reviews on this provider and realized what they were offering would not work for me.

After speaking to the owner about my water issues it was decided this was not the type of water-leakage inspection service I was looking for. He suggested contacting a plumber or someone that can determine wood-rot damage.

It smelled as if there was water leaking in my basement but I could not find the water. When I informed Seattle Superior Waterproofing about this, they told me If they can’t see water, then they won’t come. He then gave me helpful advice on what to do what I think there is a leak. This was a misunderstanding of the deal on my part and Seattle Superior Waterproofing made it very clear on the jobs they perform.

He said my problem could not be fixed by him after he looked at the leak. He said I need a plumber that can fix a broken pipe. He requested I ask for a refund.

Contacted Seattle Superior Waterproofing and described the location of the work. They stated they cannot work that deep below grade due to safety issues and suggested I request a refund of the Big Deal.

He stayed about 30 minutes and explained water proofing options. We had water in the basement last year (small amount during heavy rains) but have since replaced the gutters. He was fair and stated that with the new gutters we should wait a year to see if we still have an issue. He was helpful but it wasn't much of a deal as the information was mostly generic and it was a very quick review.

The individual confirmed what others had told us, the crack was not structurally a problem He further told us how much he would charge to fix it and that he would have to dig a large hole in our concrete driveway to do it properly. He told us how we could patch the crack ourselves to prevent moisture entering the crack. We really appreciated his honesty. The company sent someone out promptly. We would call them again if we needed work done.

This is the second time I have had this issue and I was happy to know which contractor to call and what type of service to expect. I returned to Seattle in the heavy rain we had a couple of weeks ago to discover that I had water leaking in my basement AGAIN. At least this time, I knew who to call. Seattle Superior Waterproofing was out the day after I called to see what was going on and give me a quote. And, they were able to set a date for repair before they left. The team was on time, professional, quick, pleasant and cost friendly. While I hope I have no more leaks, I do know who to call if it happens again. And, to ensure the record is straight, the leak was not where previous repairs had been. I am happy to say that is still dry and I am hoping I am finally done with water in the basement.

They have not called me and no one has showed up.

Even though he was unable to complete the inspection I purchased, he gave me referrals for other companies that could and spoke with me in detail as to potential avenues I could explore to resolve my issues. I felt he was very helpful, courteous, prompt and professional. I'd use Seattle Superior Waterproofing again based on my experience with Galen.

He did an inspection of everything he could, but he wasn't able to get to all areas that needed inspection.

Reading the deal, it seemed like they would be capable of looking in my crawlspace under my bathrooms for leaks, but when I spoke with Galen on the phone, he said that was not something they do. He suggested I get a refund.

The service provider said we were out of their area. As far as response time and professionalism it was very good!

Great! They showed up on time with a crew and got the work done with no issues. Left the work area nice and clean of any work debris. Definitely recommend this firm. Estimate never changed and I was not pressured by Galen with his bid to get it done right away - instead he accommodated me without any complaints.

They did a great job. Appreciated the affordable options that were offered and will use their service when my tenant leaves the unit.

The service turned out very well. They inspected the water heater because I had rusty water coming out. I even purchased a new water heater from them afterwards. They may have also repaired a leak in the kitchen faucet. The technician was on time and seemed to know what he was talking about. Scheduling was very easy.

It turned out great. The work was great. We were very happy.

I need to have a horizontal crack in the wall repaired so they advised that I actually need to use a foundation repair company. He said they are more of a waterproofing company so I was not able to use this provider but he was really nice and followed up with me promptly. No complaints about this provider.

It went real well. He was really good. The price was good. I would use them again.

He was very responsive, and came out quickly. He asked a lot of very pertinent and probing questions about the amount of water in the basement, when it happened (in terms of the water coming in versus when and how much it was raining inn the days prior, etc.), and so on. He looked inside and outside. We had a long discussion about options, and was honest about what it would cost if I chose to use his services. But what most impressedme was that he was honest enough to tell me that I probably could get away without using him, if I re-directed the gutter downspouts and did some other things on my own. This way, if it worked, I saved the time and expense, and if it didn't, well, then I could call him back and have him come out and do his thing. He was professional and honest, and if I ever do need someone to come in and tear up my basement to add drainage, I will not hesitate to call him.

I can strongly recommend Seattle Superior Waterproofing. Prior to June 2011 when they waterproofed my basement, water would regularly gush through the walls and percolate through the floor whenever there was even a moderate rain. With Seattle?s March 2014 nine plus inches of rain, my basement stayed dry, I can declare their fix a success, and I know that I can now finish my basement. Of the companies that bid, Seattle Superior Waterproofing gave me the only reasonable solution with a reasonable quote which they executed in a professional and timely manner. They answered any and all questions I had. Only this firm stated that I did not require a sump pump and I have not. Their solution to my problem was to ensure that my downspouts properly drained through my side sewer, patched and installed a vapor barrier to the basement walls, and installed an inside French drain with cleanouts connected to the floor drain. Even though they had to jack hammer through the basement's concrete floor , there was minimal dust to clean up (yes, I still had to vacuum).

We got a quick response and estimate, which was better than competitors. Galen gave an honest opinion without making promises he couldn't guarantee. Most importantly, our basement stayed dry through a season of heavy downpours.

They said that I didn’t need the service and suggested that I get a refund.

it was the 49 inspection of crawlspace. I had some issue with my crawlspace and had it fixed. bought the service to make sure what they did was correct and if i need to do anything more. Seattle Superior Waterproofing is very nice at explaining things and they are not here to talk you into buying their service. Overall a very good experience. The only complaint that i have is that they didn't wear sleeve when going into and out of the crawlspace, made it a little dirty but all in all it was good.
