Description of Work: The firm's owner inspected the area around my house and in the basement area for signs of water leakage both in front yard area and house foundation. He explained this was not the type of problem his firm usually deals with and was up front with me that if I had a problem, I would need assistance from a firm that deals with smaller confined spaces and that he works with large scale drainage issues. He very kindly looked at my problem areas and gave me some great insights into what was causing excess water to collect and why it wasn't seeping into the house. I felt the money was well spent and and gave me peace of mind knowing that the water was no doubt coming from natural springs that are prevalent around this area.

 + -1 moreWe have worked with many contractors over the years, some great and some not so great, but we would absolutely recommend Galen and Seattle Superior Waterproofing without hesitation. The entire experience, from beginning to end was positive and well worth it and we got a good product where we can now finish our basement without worrying about flooding.
Description of Work: If we could go higher than A+ we would. Galen gave a good bid, They showed up when they said would and did a really good job. They came in and covered all the furnishings, and sealed the room and got to work all in the first 30 minutes. There was very little dust. They jackhammered around the entire perimeter of the basement, put in a drainage system, removed the sump pump because we would no longer need it, and filled in that hole. They covered it back with cement. It was very clean and quick. He gave us a lifetime, transferable guarantee that it won’t leak They completly cleaned at the end each day and finished ahead of schedule. They are professional and very easy to work with.

Description of Work: I purchased a basement evaluation for $50. And although it was thorough, it seemed to me in retrospect that I just paid $50 for an estimate that I could have gotten for free. i don't recommend paying for this service.

Description of Work: I couldn't figure out where the water in my basement was coming from. The nice gentleman came out and looked over everything. He explained everything to me as he went along. He finally figure it out the water from the rain was coming down through the front porch to the basement. He explained to me it was an easy fix and what I needed to do to solve that problem and that worked.

I showed him the situation with the poor drainage in the lower part of my yard and in my basement. He gave me his opinion and options to fix the issue. I was appreciative to get some possible fixes for my drainage issues. He was a gentleman and very friendly.

Description of Work: We've had a leaky basement furnace room for years. We had been told we'd need to chase down the leak by digging up around the foundation outside. A huge project. Kept putting it off, was andticipating a huge expense to go along with the project. Gelin (sp?) came in, looked it over, an immediately had a sound fix in mind. No huge project. A simple trench inside with a french drain and a waterproof plastic barrier set into the new concreate drain. The showed when they said they would and got it done in one day. They jack hammered, built a drain, poured concrete, and got the job done. It works perfectly - I know this as we had record rainfalls to test it. First time we've not had a damp / wet furnace room in over two decades. Great job. Very professional. I would use him again - but won't have to on this house. Very good guy. You will be pleased.  + -1 moreeI found Superior through Angies list along with 5 other companies I got bids from. Out of all 6 companies, Superior waterproofing was the ONLY one who gave me an honest straight forward estimate. To provide a little back story, I'm a 36 year old female who grew up in a construction household, so I knew exactly WHAT needed to be done to my basement, I just needed the WHO to do it. The 5 other companies were upselling the heck out of me, suggesting systems that were un-necessary for my house and my problem. Superior was my second to last bid, and Galen was the only one who peaked in my crawl space (um... there was a drain in there, that no other company seemed interested in) and he just laid out the basics for me. I knew right then I'd be using Superior. When job time came around, they worked quickly, showed up on time, kept the work area clean (as clean as possible) and were flexible about other work that we added on. Overall I was highly impressed with them as was my dad (retired) who spent years tackling drainage problem and flooding in Seattle area homes.
Description of Work: I needed French drains in the basement to prevent future flooding.

They were great with price. There was another guy higher than them in terms of price and so I did not give the guy the order to do the job. They definitely did a good job. They were fine with responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism. I might use their services again in the future to do another section of the basement.

Description of Work: Large amounts of water coming into commercial building crawl space. Galen and his associate did an excellent job. We had a few similar bids from others, but nobody else included as much in the scope of work as Galen performed. He went above and beyond to do a high quality job. There was a rotted-out leg to my staircase and he put in a concrete support which was a very nice gesture. He was friendly and fast and prompt. He also gave me a warranty. I had this done 3 months ago..so far so good. The other quotes I received were much higher in price.

CAME OUT AND CLEANED OUT THE BASEMENT AFTER IT HAD FLOODED, THE DRAIN WAS PLUGGED AND WE DIDN'T NOTICE UNTIL THE RAINS CAME HARD AND FLOODED THE AREA THEY FIXED THE DRAIN SO IT SHOULD NEVER PLUG AGAIN AND IT WILL BE MUCH EASIER TO KEEP IT FROM PLUGGING. GREAT COMPANY. VERY NICE EVEN THOUGH IT WAS PRETTY EMBARRASSING.
