Seattle Superior Waterproofing

I was unable to use the big deal due to my husband already making arrangements for someone else to come out and access the foundation and basement area. This company was however diligent with getting back with us and following up.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was a pleasant experience. No actual work was done.

I've asked Angie's list over and over again to stop reminding me to review this business, but it seems the only way not to see the reminder every time I log in is to write something here. It's been almost a year and I don't remember how my interaction with this provider went; somebody else eventually got the job. I gave a rating of C because there isn't any way to give a "non-rating". If the interaction had been outstandingly good or outstandingly bad, I think I'd remember. I put N/A on all other categories. I think this was an offer that came by email from Angie's List. There was a cost for it but I don't remember how much, so I put zero. Well, the site wouldn't accept all those N/A's, so I had to change them to C's, but that's because I don't remember either way.

It was fine. He did everything that he was supposed to do. He was prompt and on time, really nice and didn't try to sell us anything.

Seattle Superior Waterproofing was okay. I bought it to make sure there's no leak. He said that there was no problem. It has been a while. He just looked around. I didn't spend more than the big deal.

Galen inspected my crawlspace and declined to do the cleanup. There was evidence of past rodent presence and suggested someone better equipped to deal with the health issues involved. He went on to give me a full report on the overall condition of my crawlspace, including water issues. In summary, he told me that the job was not something he was equipped to do, gave me his professional opinion in his area of expertise and found nothing that needed his services. I really appreciate this sort of honesty and professionalism.

This was a small easy job. The crawlspace is very big and has plenty of headroom to work in which made the install of 50 feet of drain pipe and sump box a easy one day job. The crew of 4 did a great job. I was very happy with their work.

They were very accomodating. They had to bucket dirt upstairs and outside and they had to bucket concrete in! They did an amazing job! They were very helpful and didn't add extra costs. He was really good. I don't remember the exact cost but it was very affordable and they were well worth it!

He responded immediately to my initial call. Was punctual and inspected the basement and made helpful suggestions and comments. I did not need further services but I would not hesitate to contact him again.

He was very good about explaining things to me. I went in the crawlspace with him and had no issues with that.

We've had water in the crawl space for some time, but it took an email from Angie's list with a coupon to finally get us motivated to make the call to Seattle Superior Waterproofing. I talked with the owner, Galen Smith, and set up a time for the inspection. He was prompt, quickly assessed the situation, wrote up an estimate which I accepted and set up a time for the work the next week. He and his crew arrived on time, went immediately to work and completed the work in about 6 hours. Galen returned two days later and put down the plastic liner. During this time the electrician arrived to hook up the sump pump and he commented to me how dry the crawl space was. The two men worked well together. When Galen was done he gave me the manual for the sump pump and explained how the sump pump worked. The final bill was the same as the estimate. We were very pleased with the work done. Would not hesitate to recommend Galen and Seattle Superior Waterproofing.

The job went as planned, and they even finished a bit early. Great company to work with. Highly recommended.

The service was friendly, though I did feel mislead by the description of the Big Deal and that the services provided were not worth payment. Given they did not service my home, I cannot rate on quality of their work, so I may use them in the future still.

Showed up a promised, looked at job, and told me he could not do it.

Not a lot to it. Just a walk around our house to look at the path that water takes toward our foundation and give some opinions.

It was a three day job and everyone worked really hard to get it done.

I had 3 basement leak free estimates done. For an interior french drain, Galen's bid was the cheapest. He seemed like a knowledgeable nice guy and I was poised to hire him when a third contractor (Allied Waterproofing) came in and said the problem didn't require an interior french drain, just an exterior walkway drain, or at least he was 99% sure of it. And then I had new roof gutters installed and my chimney capped. And then the leaking stopped. So I didn't hire him. But if the basement does leak again I would probably hire him. But I might first try the outdoor drain solution suggested by Allied Waterproofing first. Allied's bid to do the interior french drain system was more expensive than Superior Waterproofing. A third contractor offered an estimate that cost about $2k more than either of them.

Wonderful people to work with. The bid was on time, the work was scheduled in a resonable time frame and they did a professional job as well as left the area clean. Very professional. I would use them again.

I went well after a minor delay.

For a couple of months I worked to figure out why I was getting water in my basement. I was finally able to rule out the washer and the hot water tank. That left just the walls as the culprit. This was my first experience intentionally using Angie's List to find a contractor and I could not be more pleased. Seattle's Superior Waterproofing came out on a free service call to look at the issue and give me recommendations and an estimate. Within 10 minutes we had determined where the water was coming from and the best way to tackle it. The price was well within reason, the owner knowledgeable and pleasant to work with and I decided to work with them. They worked with me to find the best date to get the project done, were patient with the fact that I had to schedule it around other contractors, and just plain pleasant to work with. They were here exactly when they said we would be, the workers were all polite and professional and worked well as a team, and answered all the questions I had (and I had a lot) with a smile and a lot of patience. And, they came back the next day, after the concrete was set to install a new sink. I hope you don't have water issues, but, if you do, I highly recommend this company.

It was fantastic! Thousands less than what I had been quoted several years ago by one of those companies with fancy trucks that you hear about a lot. There is no more water in my garage when it rains and if there ever is, Galen's work is guaranteed for 20 years. Don't get taken -- take Galen!

I called several providers for a bid. Not only was SSW's solution seemed to represent the best approach w/out overdoing it. This resulted in a simple approach that was far more cost effective than other bids. On Friday I confirmed we wanted to get started on the work and due to special circumstances asked that we begin the work ASAP. By Tuesday the work was done! The work was excellent, the team was very respectful and the service was prompt and professional. A very good option for those that want results without paying over-inflated prices for an over-engineered solution. I would very much recommend including SSW as a consideration for your waterproofing needs.

It wasn't a big deal. He just came in to look at my crawl space to make sure there wasn't any water intrusion. He was professional.

It went excellently overall. NO surprises. Work was done carefully from start to finish. Great clean-up. I'd highly recommend them.
